RabbiDoracle:
No. If king secures d3.

If PC plays rook on e4 checks white King on e3. Then I move the king back to d2.

Then it PC plays black rook captures b4, I will still destroy black in a spectacular way with a sacrifice of my rook on 6th rank.

Remember there is a free white pawn on C file.

That is the queen in the making. Young queen Eliza! grin
Ok,

If white plays D3, black replies with rook take pawn on B4 with a threat to take pawn D4 and check white king in a very bad way.

So, after black rook take pawn on B4, white can play rook to F6 check, but black plays king to G5 threatening the now open rook.

I am afraid white doesn't have enough time.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 7:45pm On May 31, 2020
The only time black wins decisively is if I play King D3 as white, then black moves rook to e3 to check white. Then this is a loss for white.

Any other scenario, white can snatch an advantage.

RabbiDoracle:
Set your board and pieces and I play White. I have replied you with my move. King d3.

Reply me.
Black rook takes B4.

I don't think white could avert the fast approaching disaster. You can only delay it. If you're white, keep checking black king and advance your pawn. But even kasparov, Bobby fischer won't be able to win with white in this scenario.
You are a good player...It cannot be averted.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by RichEstate(m): 7:48pm On May 31, 2020
Sir, experienced black player won't play anyhow. No matter how what the white rook does, the aim of the black is to execute these moves. Once the rooks, one rook will stand between the white king and the breakaway pawn. Checkmate might be delayed but surely it's Black's game.
ositadima1:
It is like u are still learning the game, I have played this game for years, on PC, android and physically.

First, it is not black turn to play, you can see that black king just moved from file 7 to file 6 (g5 to f4).

Secondly, black rook on file 5 cannot kill pawn on file 4 without losing that rook, that pawn is protected by white king. That is why black needs to move that rook down to pursue king from that row 3, then after that the other rook will be able to take pawn on file 2.

But, because it is white to play, white would move white rook on file 6 and chase your black king from that file, if black plays anyhow, then the other white rook will be brought into play to finish off the game.

In short, white has a better chance here.

I can port this position to droidfish and play it out for you.

Black rook takes B4.
Then a decisive on for Black.

It will lead to one black rook being left on the board.

STOP LOSS: I will like to know whether members use stop loss in their NSE trading/jijo accounts. What percent do you set stop loss for jijo purpose and how disciplined are you at taking loss at the preset % if the undesired happens . Locodemy in one of his posts says he uses 10% stop loss. I will appreciate contributions from Mcy, Loco, et all on their experience with stop loss on NSE.

Yes, black wins regardless.

Apologies for wrong judgment and calling Rich Estate and Thebargainhunte fish.

I was analysing without a black pawn on d5. Hence my analysis that there will be 2 white pawns advancing.

Yes.

My board placements had d5 pawn missing. Hence the poor judgment.

A missing d5 black pawn will lead to a strong white win.

Try setting your board without the d5 pawn. You will see that there two white pawns advancing to promotion. Use osita's moves of rook to B4, white rook checks black, black king to G5, you will see that with the rook on e4 is unprotected, white king smites, thereby leveling the floor.

But this is a wrong placement anyway. My bad!

Exactly. That was why I said King d3 first thinking that rook e4 was unprotected. Unknown that I didn't set the board to include d5 pawn.

Nice to know you are in the spirit. grin grin

I think it is a decisive win for white without a D5 pawn.

Because white will have 2 rooks. And that will be frustrating.

If black king leaves F4 to G5, that's automatic winning for white.

Black king can't go anywhere else except g5, g4 or g3.

But it needs to move to attack the white rook

Like wise the black too. The other white rook can't leave E1, else he has to pay with his life in exchange to a pun that turns queen.

Without the d5 pawn there, white will have 2 rooks, 2 advancing pawns. These 2 rooks will do maximum damage to the black pawn seeking promotion and the black rook. And remember there is the white king beside these rooks whereas the black king has been cast away. grin

Okay, what if it moves to g5 to attack the white rook checking him, what will white then play?

I pick the unprotected black rook on e4. If the black king doesn't pick the white rook on f6, then it means that the black wants to go for promotion of the black pawn on A file.

This move will be futile.
