It's painful spending such a huge amount to secure admission and one idiot scammed you off such money, it happened to a friend of mine some years back and all we could do was to let go after the foolish agent returned just a token from the amount he collected. You can post his contact online if that will make him come out, he's a scammer and no law says you shouldn't expose him.

Hi all the moguls,

Please there is this company in Akure that scammed me some years ago under the pretence of helping me secure admission abroad. I paid a total of 1.something million naira and he is still owing me 788K. Ever since then, the company has not been opening and they have vacated the office.

I even visited SARS in Akure, they said I have to write a petition through a lawyer and I paid the lawyer 10K write petition which he handed over the letter to me without knowing i will still pay SARS again before the job commenced.

When I got to SARS station, they said I should pay so that they can take the letter to the CP for approval but I don't have any dime on me again. And since the company is no more existing, I thought it might also be another loss.
Please I have his phone number but it is not reachable when I try it and I don't think it is attached to his BVN because it is quite long and I know his fullname but I don't know his home town. His office was located in Akure then and I know his Company name.

He did processed admission to few schools in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. Please advice and if there is anyone that can help and when we get him, the person will take 288K while I have the remaining 500K.

Also, is it advisable to post his name, company's name and phone number online? Cos it might be illegal to do that except with a legal backup.
First off you're not supposed to pay a dime only like 1k for fuel money to the sars.
Secondly who among them asked you for 10k cos I know most of them.
Which bank did you paid the money to
Thirdly don't contact anybody here for help(including me) it will end in tears, just make use of the little information you can gather here.

Lol, The same American you are unconcerned for, but would want to go school there. Nigerians are Selfish hypocrites.
That's what would happen to anyone who feels unconcerned about black struggles in America or any other country, but would love to travel there to earn something.
That is what would happen to all the people saying we have our own problems, no need to border about someone else in another country.

1. You can get to know his company details from cac search. It would display the necessary information.
2.employ your lawyer to write petition to EFCC, and collide this details to get from his bank details.
3. Let SARS to track him by writing to IGP.

Okay, I will snap the receipts of payment and I will also write his name as the CEO and the company name. As far if am covered under the law.

Don't post anything here before you give him a reason to arrest you, then you start battling to escape his problem.

Do not let anyone deceive you, you have to spend the money required on your own. You do not need SARS for this matter. Go to a lawyer and ask him to write you a demand notice.

Send the demand notice to the guy and his company. Please get a good lawyer and follow their advice.

If you don't have money to prosecute this on your own or from family or friends, just let the matter be. You have lost. Or look for a lawyer that works for free. Do not do anything provocative to the fraudster or illegal because he will use it to fight you and pray he does not have money to spend because you will be the one running for your life.

If you like you can take my advise, I have been in a similar case and the money I was swindled was N7.5m, in the end I had to let go because at some point I kind of kidnapped the man and almost beat him to death. It wasn't a matter of my money now, the case blew out of proportion.

Get a lawyer and follow their process, do not resort to self help or any illegal means.

Sorry for the scamming experience
Anyone here who has been scammed will know what you are going through.
I have and I had to let it go cause the person reportedly later died.
But if you can find this man, don't give up, he can run but he can't hide forever.
Everyday for the thief one day for the owner.
So long as he didn't get you the admission, he should refund your money.
Also why are you offering 288k for people to help you?
Is it not the same money issue the SARS people were asking from you that you ran? Or is it because theirs was that you pay upfront? It is well

Stay calm, you will get your money my dear. Put your trust in God.

Cut your losses and mental stress.

You won't find him and if anything you will lose more money going to the police.

Use it as a learning process and TRUST NO ONE

Why not go to the state headquarters of the Nigeria police over there at Akure. Then submit the petition yourself at the office of the commissioner of police. In such a case you dont need to give SARS any money. Go by yourself cos its your right.

The company might even be existing in NL under a different name. Ask your lawyer what you should do.

Your problem started from when u were pricing the letter by the lawyer. U took that letter by yourself to the police officers, that's why they are doing u shege because they know if it was a lawyer who took the letter, to them, the CP would have long responded. U have not seen shege o! The one u have seen so far is small shege. Don't worry enh

SARS will only make you pay more
But they are very effective.
I have used them twice for my company.
They would only collect a percentage of money recovered and he would oversee their logistics.

Ethically, its wrong but this is Nigeria.
