Very correct bro. I mean these are riders that don't dare misbehave in a public transit even BRT , but on ehailing, they just lose basic decorum.
Exactly. Blame it on drivers conduct

You did the right thing my guy.

Apart from your safety, you saved yourself from trouble. Imagine if police or LASTMA had arrested you for your rider not wearing face mask... I bet she would feign ignorance and let you bear the consequences of her action, as they would always assume it is your responsibility to remind your riders to use face mask.

As for the drivers that compromise their health and safety, it says a lot about them. For Uber, so long as you’ve written them, be rest assured they would work in accordance with the rules.

NB: I really don’t know why it is mostly girls from one hotel to another that give issues on this job... I mean all these girls that know nothing.

But trust me, the day a new app comes on board esp. guys in d Lyft category.
bolt and uber will sit up, a lot of riders use uber cos fares are lower.

Intact, most riders have the two apps n dey compare prices.

Was coming from Ibadan one evening, n on getting to Mowe, a lady sitting directly in the front seat was trying to book a ride.

Destination. Ajah. PU. Berger.
She tried bolt estimate 5,800-6,200

Uber est.4,800- 5,000.

Sharply grin ,she closed the Bolt app. n used Uber.

I'm lyk that's a journey wt intense traffic of over 2hrs embarassed n trip go end you wud see 3,500.

Seriously uber drivers r trying.

grin grin who no like better thing?

For me I prefer using Uber obviously coz of their low fares and the fact that drivers are more cautious and aware when on an Uber ride. But then I use bolt more coz my area in festac you wait longer when you make an Uber request

Felicity001 your head dey there. Why would one wait till he gets blocked from cash trips before he remits to Bolt? Maybe some drivers don't know sha.

Personally, my 'bench balance is -N4,000'. Once it crosses N4,000, I make a transfer of N3,000 to them which should bring me back to a balance of -1,000+, and the process repeats itself again when it rises above that...
I always pay in advance. If I'm having - #3k I transfer like #8k. Wisdom is needed in this line of business

[1quote author=ekehopp post=90265937]Manner of approach is everything. Especially when na you need rating,
Advice on use of facemask the way you would advice The Governor, or a mentor if he/she was in your car.
Politely. You can even joke about it. Abeg no vex etc, police can give me wahala etc, plus its Uber rules etc

[/quote]

So governors or mentors don't listen to news?

Only in naija you'll have to be teaching adults how to use seat belt. At least 50% of drivers would've encounter riders(adults) insisting on not using seatbelts.

Imagine ordinary seat belt that will safe your life!

Baba even you kneel for them to wear face mask or use seat belt, some of them go still give you 1star.

Their star can't safe me from police, lastma and local government agberos.

You can never compare Uber with Bolt. Uber is miles ahead of other partners in the e hailing business.

The reason why Bolt seems to be better in Nigeria is because they fit the Nigerian system. Uber is just too rigid and hardly compromise and that is why Bolt has more riders and drivers.

So in totality, I think Uber is still the best but when it comes to making money, Bolt is king.

Any idea if Bolt has opened their offices?
Bro forget better app. It is all about the Benjamins and good customer service. Opari, Nothing more.

Thank you! I seriously don't understand why this is very hard for some people to understand. The customer is King!

Personally, I don't even check Rider's rating. That's not my business. Whatever your attitude is like, doesn't concern me. My own is to take you from point A to point B. If you abuse or insult me, I end trip. It's as simple as that.
You see! Statements like this are reasons why the world will keep experiencing slavery, rape, racism and all vices.

Mentalities like this is why most taxify riders will misbehaving, insulting, cheat and even assault drivers. Since you think and believe riders are kings why then do you think you've the right to end a trip you accepted and started? You're just a simple slave who has no right to anything so expect the worst treatment should you ever try to do such thing to a rider and if envitually you get blocked by your senior slave (bolt) then you've no reason to complain, why? Because you deserve it.

This is why I love UBER because with uber both rider and drivers are equal. There's no such mentality of 'king' or 'slaves'. Uber sensitizes both their drivers and riders to respect each other and see them as one.

With UBER, ratings are taken very seriously. You as a driver or rider rates each other or one another with a star no matter what the case may be weather you two are the only one in a particular area/zone uber will never merge you both ever again because the 1star rating you gave is assumed that either the driver or rider never had a good experience together on their first encounter so don't pear me with such person again.

But, taxify even after I rated one guy with 1star yesterday and reported him as violent taxify was still bringing his request to me almost immediately, I'm like for real?!!!

That is why they are the boss. He who pays the piper calls the tune. For without riders (consumers), there would be no drivers.
How about with drivers?

You seems to be placing all the values on riders without even thinking about the value of drivers. Does it mean to you that the provider of services dont have a value to the services they're providing? If they don't why then do you think riders are after getting services drivers provide even with the surge.

Change this thinking of your and begin to c things differently.

In other sense you're in support of all the ills riders perpetrate daily.

Boss, its a corrolla 06. .pls what does IAC stand for.?

Basically, d symptoms is while driving or accelerating after lyk 40-50 mins of driving,

There is a loss of power, speed reduces ,i keep pressing d gas pedal, but speed does not increase.

I try n park n put car in park position, car vibrates while changing transmission at this point in tym. I switch off engine.

Switch on engine back n car starts moving fine again ,till another episode of losing power starts.

This looks more like a transmission problem to me.

But wait oh, what do I even know self.

Hope you've been able to resolve the problem now

I think this is one area Uber is better than Bolt. I wrote Bolt messages regarding riders claiming they didn't get guidelines about Covid precautions. Imagine them telling me they did when it is obviously not so. I wrote them again that riders have been giving low rating cos they won't comply with the guidelines. Bolt said I shouldn't worry. They will look into it. Rating kept falling until it got to 4.37. Na so Bolt yank me off indefinitely.

Please guys is Uber taking new drivers now?
As for me my rating has been like this since Feb or there about. The only time they blocked me due to low rating I sent them a long mail with objective and reasonable points, the next day morning my account was unblocked.

Last month whenni complained of not being able to log into my account I never knew it was as a result of a trip I did 3week before that time. I was like, inside life? After 3fucking weeks u r mailing me instructing me to make a refund of N1500 a 3rd party rider paid me for taking her further from her destination on the card trip to her real destination which she agreed willingly to? Yhe further trip would have be done online but due to the fact no request or update can be done ince it's 6pm so we resulted to doing it offtrip. Na him one Patricial of a correspondent was now telling me to make refund. I just simply told her to instead refund the rider from the commission of N1800 she took from the trip.

The next morning my account was unblocked.

If you're discussing with those correspondent don't appear to them like you're beggin provided you re right stand yiur ground and confront them tell them what they're doing that is not right and see how they treat your issue with urgency.

You re right with other summits but with the bolded I think I beg to differ.

Drivers make more more driving with uber on the 3% promotion even with their lesser fair than with bolt with 15% reduced commission after 40 trips with their higher fair.

Not drivers but the platform.

Why are things different with UBER? The reason is because uber is discipline, honest, organize and has integrity.

If only you understood the discipline and orderliness the N400 cancellation fee is installing on riders you would know why uber riders are well behaved and well mannered. But, same reason bolt is using to their advantage of grabbing the market which in the real sense is corruption, biasment, cheating to drivers and in general, a lack of integrity. All because they are aware the nigeria society is corrupt.

But one thing is sure, any organization without integrity will not stand the test of time.
