Sitting still, Anita listen to the music, There are times it feels as if the music is teaching her brain how to flow, how to be so peaceful. It's as if the slowly changing tone touches different parts of her body, a sort of auditory massage for her mind, an invitation for slowness and to feel the presence of herself, the ever patient version of her who waits to be spoken to, and is content to do so..., to be still and calm forevermore...., she changed her sitting position and reclined her back on the wall letting the flow of the music zip down into the deepest part of herself....

"Anita.."Susan call walking out from the kitchen with a sachet water in her hand.., without hesitation she teeth open the criko sachet water popularly known as pure water and gulp it down almost emptying the full sachet...., she sigh only to realise Anita was still nodding her head to the music she was playing.., even if Anita was wearing earpiece, she could still hear the loud bass of the song..

"Anita.."She blare out..

Anita immediately took both sides earpiece from her ear and look up to face Susan dumbfounded..."Mm.., what did you say...?"

"One day your ear will block o..."Susan said before gulping down the rest of the water..."Just be putting earpiece in your ear upandan.."

Anita manage a smile before she dropped the phone on the bed.."You know I love music na.."

Susan look askance at her and shake the empty sachet of water in her hand to be sure it was finish..."Stop increasing the volume.., it's too loud.., I've called you like God knows how many times.."

"Nor vex jare.."Anita said in pidgin taking her phone to put a pause to the music..

"If you like block your ear, na you sabi.."Susan said walking back to the kitchen to drop the water sachet on the waste bin, she reappeared in the main room a second after and trot towards her wardrobe.....

"Have you updated now..?"She ask over her shoulder as she preen at her clothes a bit confused on what to wear...

"I haven't..., I'm still thinking the ending to give to it.."

"Hope it'll end well shall cos I'm not ready to take any sad end..."

"See question.."Susan sass spuning around to face her...."You and silver1996, I don't know who's lord of sad stories..."

Anita faked cough..."Me I don't know o.."

"Please o, it shouldn't be o, I'll be very heartbroken.., Luke is so nice and sweet to Tamara, I'm already seeing a future for their two..."

"Ok...o, future seer.."

Susan manage a smile and turn back to face the wardrobe..., she saw a shirt and realised it's been long she wore it, she took the shirt and swing it in...

"This one you're dressing..."Anita said slightly putting the right ear of her earpiece back in her ear...."Where are you going..?"

"To Caro's place..."Susan replied over her shoulder..

Anita mouth parted..."Which Caro..?"

"How many Caro do you know..?"Susan ask turning back to face her.."Of course I'm talking about the one owing you.."

"What are you going to see her for..?"

"To collect the three thousand naira she's owing you.., did you actually think I'll just leave the money for her just because you're scared to collect it yourself.."

"I'm not scared..."Anita countered..."I just decide to forget about the money since she refused to pay me back..."

"And that's your problem ..."Susan blare out.."You're too soft on people and that's why they treat you the way they do.., I saw Caro carrying that green bag we saw at mama oyibo store..., that bag is twelve thousand naira and we both know mama oyibo doesn't sell her bags on credit so how do you think Caro got it...?"

"It could be she had the bag already.."

"She doesn't have it o.."Susan said bending slightly..."At first that was what I thought, then I dropped at mama oyibo's place on my way home..., I didn't see the bag there, I stylishly asked who bought it and she told me our friend, Caroline bought it yesterday..., if she got twelve thousand naira to buy a bag, it means she has deliberately refused to pay you back your three thousand naira.."

Anita sigh as she recall the day Caroline came to ask her for the money, that was a month ago, she was having eight thousand naira on her account from the work she did for a lady.., Caroline was all tears and greatly moody when she came to her.., she said she needed three thousand naira to pay someone she was owing since the person was in her neck and she promised to pay back the following week.., she took pity on her and lend her the money, only for the week she promised to pay back to come, She started dodging her, even when she sees her, she make excuses upon excuses, she got tired and eventually stopped disturbing her for the money...

"I know she don't want to pay me that money back.."Anita said

"Today she'll pay it o.."Susan said.."Except my name is not Susan."

"But if she doesn't want to pay, we can't force her to..."

"Emm.."Susan said with clipped lips leaning her right ear forward...."Dem nor born her well be that.."

"So what are you going to do.., go there and fight..?"Anita ask with folded hands

"If necessary, yes...., Caroline is wicked.., she has the money but dont want to pay back, people like her needs to be reminded that the snake is always creepy..."

"Susan there is no point going to ask her for the money.., like I told you, I've already forgotten about that money..."

"That one is your own o.., you must have forgotten about it but me I haven't forgotten.., you have no idea how angry I was when I found out she has money to buy a bag of twelve thousand but can't pay back the three thousand naira she's owing you..., babe I dey vex o..., I go fit tear her head..."

Samuel glance at his wristwatch again, it was 15mins past the time the movie director had told him he'll come.., he had called him earlier and the movie director had told him he should wait for him at basler restaurant...

"Are you sure he's coming..?"Festus asked leaning his back on one of the cars parked outside..

"We are just standing outside like some lost children.."Festus said looking around.."People will begin to think we're planning something.."

"Am at the gate now.."A male voice said from the other end..

"Is that him..?"Festus ask pointing..

"Yes.."Samuel replied dropping his phone in his trouser pocket and waited patiently until the movie director came closer..

"Samuel..."The movie director said, a smile circling his lips..

"Good afternoon sir.."Samuel greeted .

"My car is at a mechanic shop close by.., that's why I asked you to meet me here, are you done with the story..?"

"Yes sir.."Samuel said, I have the full Epug file on my phone.."

"Oh that's cool, this is the reason I highly recommend you, you hardly fail.."

"That's nice to hear sir.."Samuel said before taking his phone out to show him the story he converted into an Epug file...."This is the full story sir.., I made it easy for you to convert it to a movie script..."

"Oh I love this, I fell in love with the story when I read the few chapters you sent me.., it'll definitely make a good movie..., so how much am I to balance you...?"

But how do writers here checkmate their stories being used inappropriately or stolen? Does citing copyright laws protect their works from infringement Silver?

This question came about as a result of episode 2. But people get mind ooo
How do you owe someone 3k ND purchase a bag of 12k and how can one sleep knowing that what he is selling, Is not actually his and he fills no remorse or guilt?

This is exactly what is happening, a writer takes his time to be creative and write a story, only for another person to copy it and take the credit for a story that's not theirs.....u better change, take permission and acknowledge the writer if you're granted the opportunity to copy their stories, it's not easy if not we all would have been writers.....
