Happy to hear you are making progress. I did an overview on Cov Uni Life earlier on but just to summarize, i had a great experience, Cov Uni has a good blend of Nigerians so it gives you a good foundation outside home before you start navigating your way through. By all means target the student ambassador jobs usually advertised on Moodle page. You will have access to that once you enroll. It still pays minimum wage but its a job you can put on your CV and have a reference letter for. My student ambassador profile got me a job working with the Public Health England test and trace app while still studying. Finally when you get to Cov Uni explore, ask questions, explore some more.

All the best

Thanks for your response but i already spoke to the international office and i explained my study gap but No to your questionof me having issues explaining my study gap. I am more than comfortable explaining it..i hope everything goes as planned. But how was you cov experience tho[/b] ? Was it worth it? Also plan on applying for the student ambassador job heard that pays highest compared to other student jobs around cov

Hi, a quick one guys ,If a tier 4 dependant returns home to apply for a tier 4 before the expiration of the current visa, what implications does that have on the 10 years long residence route to indefinite leave to remain please?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Bourne007(m): 12:22pm On Jun 09, 2020
Since there's a valid leave on the date of departure, continuous residence is maintained as long as you spend less than 6 months outside the UK.

Not sure what the reason for the question but as it stands 'cos of COVID, tier 4 dependant can apply within the UK

I greet you all my people

I recently got admission for MBA in Coventry University and was told that I'll obtain a UKVI Tier 4 Visa.

Now I have some questions.

1. How many years is a UKVI Tier 4 Visa

2(a) Can my dependents (wife and 3 children) get Visas to travel with me? (age of children: 10, 2 and a newborn)
2(b) The oldest child is not my biological child, she's my niece with same surname. will there be an issue with this?

3. Can my wife work with her visa over there (That's if she gets the visa). Will she be allowed to get a job when we get to the UK

4. What are our chances if we decide to remain in UK after my studies, is there a legit way? do we stand a chance? This question is necessary because if we'll be given eg, 1 or 2 years visa without a chance of remaining in the UK after my studies I may want to reconsider my options before relocating my family. if we cant stay and raise our kids there why move them to UK and move them back to Nigeria after 1 year.

5. How much should I budget for visa. (for a family of 5)

Now I have some questions.

1. How many years is a UKVI Tier 4 Visa? Depends on your course- 1yr = 16 months, 2yrs = 28 months, etc. Just add 4 months extra to the number of months of your program.

2(a) Can my dependents (wife and 3 children) get Visas to travel with me? (age of children: 10, 2 and a newborn) Yes. Just apply for dependent visas

2(b) The oldest child is not my biological child, she's my niece with same surname. will there be an issue with this? yes. She is not your dependent. Unless you legally adopt her, then she becomes a dependent.

3. Can my wife work with her visa over there (That's if she gets the visa). Will she be allowed to get a job when we get to the UK? yes dependent are allowed to work.

4. What are our chances if we decide to remain in UK after my studies, is there a legit way? do we stand a chance? 5. How much should I budget for visa. (for a family of 5) btw 20- 23m naira

Good evening everyone, I'm confused about the Visa fees, checking the ukvisa website Standard visa fee cost almost 175,000,
Then priority Student visa i saw something like 110,000 then super priority visa 458,000.

I'm a little bit confused, can someone please guide me on the visa fee?

Pls is the visa office open for processing?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by gsk4reality: 4:01pm On Jun 09, 2020
mimilyrics:
Visa fee is £348 for a standard application, priority visa processing costs £348 visa fee + £220 priority processing fee, super priority costs £348 visa + £956 super priority fee. Priority and super priority processing have faster turnaround than the standard processing.

IHS fee to use the NHS is £450 (£300 per year + £150 for the extra 4-6 months granted after the course ends) for one year programs. You have to pay this online after you submit your application but before you can pay your visa fee and book your biometrics appointment.

For a standard visa for 1 year programs, total costs in naira will be close to N400,000 (including IHS) depending on the exchange rate used.

$ equivalents are taken from your payment card if it's not a $ card.

If its a two year program, are we to pay IHS for two years ?

Aside the helpful response above. For the visa application process you will need to budget about 3M.
2M for IHS fees depending on exchange rate, about 185k for medicals and around 750k or thereabouts for study visa application fees for you and your dependents.
The government has proposed a 2years post study visa starting with those finishing summer 2021. We are keeping fingers crossed as this should be firmed up soon.
Read up earlier pages as their are lots of helpful info too.

2 years and 4 months. That will be 2 years IHS (300*2) and + half of the IHS cost (£150) for the extra 4 months totalling £750.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate.

What about if the main applicant is a female and will still need her husband to join her and support her. So that as d woman is studying and doing part time job, husband will be working full time.

Do you still think option 3 is the best option?

I still think option 3 is better. Dependant can apply almost immediately the main applicants lands in the UK. I am not sure there is any restriction on when the spouse can apply and travel.

Tell your uncle to transfer to your account or your parents' account because an application with an uncle's bank statement will be rejected for lack of sufficient and acceptable financial evidence.
Money must be in the account 28 days prior to the online submission of your application.

When asked about how you got the funds in your account, you simply say that your uncle who is funding your UK study gave you the money.
On the other hand, your parent(s) are your sponsor(s) if the money is transferred to their account(s) instead of yours; you'd need letter confirming your relationship with them and that you have their consent to use the funds in the account for your study in the UK.

Legal guardianship is usually granted when a child is below legal age, not for anyone over 18. The only adults who can get legal guardians are adults who are incapacitated, incompetent or disabled.

Not directly but the husband can transfer the
Tuition + maintenance funds into the wife's account or their joint account. Funds for Tier 4 visa has to be in the student's account or the account of the student's parents or guardians.
The husband can apply for a dependant visa at the same time as his wife or later. For dependant visas, funds can be in the main applicant's account (the wife), the dependant's account (the husband) or a joint account.

Tier 4 is for study visas while Tier 2 is for work visas.

My brothers and sisters.

Pls if for any reasons, after the 28days, and after the visa application and lodgement, the amount gets to reduced either as a result of currency fluctuations or human factors (using the money small).

Will this leads to visa refusal or denial?

Thanks as am anticipating a response

That’s why it’s always advisable to put extra money incase of currency fluctuation.
Meanwhile which one is using the money “small”?
Sometimes people jeopardise their application for no reason. There’s a rule for you to follow and it should be followed until after your visa is out.

Anyway in regards to your question, I will say fingers crossed. There’s no need giving yourself unnecessary worry and heartache now. Just be hopeful and stay positive.

Read what the rule says about that money before or after your visa is out, that money is not just for you to keep for 28days, it should be available to you even in the U.K. That is exactly what the money is meant for, not to be used in Nigeria even before you get to the UK.

Please MR JUSTWISE!
For clarity sake, I intend to apply alongside my wife as her dependant, aside maintenance funds and balance of the tuition that need be in her account for the stipulated time, do I (her husband) need to provide any other financial Evidence?
Thanks!

Good Morning

1. If for instance, I fund my account with 2M and it's enough for my maintenance and the remainder of my tuition fees. If after let's say 10 days, someone credited my account with 2M and on the same day I withdraw the 2M. have I broken the 28days rule?

2. part of the money in my account will be restricted-though it will not affect the balance but not all bank staff can print the account statement.wil this be a problem if the embassy/my school check the account?
