None of them has good searching on Google and other search engines. But that does not say they can not sell with good out bounding. Boston population is not ideal enough with me and. However, bostoneggdonor is not good enough - rather - I would prefer "eggs" instead of the egg you used in the domain.

Electricity company? Don't like this as well. Look for plenty of buyers and for only one domain

Well ! domaining can sometime defy all human ideas. and predictions. So that does not say your domains can not sell. But in case of other times; please you need to consider many factors as I have analysed them above.
Lol. Clearly, you haven't been following the sales reports here.

Hi Fam,

I was able to lay my hand on the following domains:
BullFocus//king
Recrutant//king
memphishearingaids//king

Do you think they are good enough? Criticism is wellcome

Thanks

Bro, I think these names are nice.
I particularly like BullFocus. That's a potential 4 figure name.
Even the Memphis name is not bad.
I don't think you should refund them, except maybe the Recrutant...but if you do your research, and you see pointers to keep it, keep it.
Why?
My first domain sale ever was from a domain in a completely different language, in Turkish of all languages, but was a .com. I saw it floating around on Expireddomains. I used Google translate to see that it meant city+ social media for a big city in Turkey, and I regged it.
I got an inbound offer after some weeks for $100, and accepted it just to prove to myself that the process works, and it sold that same day.

So, names in other languages can actually be valuable if you do your research.
But do your research sha, there's no substitute for research.

chicagocryptobank//king (HAND REG)
bostoneggdonor//king (HAND REG)
pennsylvaniaelectricitycompany//king (FROM ED)

what do u think abt d names?

nobody should lash me, i'm a cry baby o

They're not too bad.
I would keep at least the last 2, and outbound them aggressively.
I'm not sure you can outbound the first one, can't really comment much on that.
Whether geo name goes with a digital intangible something like crypto bank, I don't know.

Guys, make I update una small.

Parking isn't really dead.

I recently Bought 2 traffics domains for mid Xx from dynadot expired auction, after reading some posts about parking at namepros.

One is 2 weeks and few days while the other is just 3 days.

I Parked the first domain with bodis, on the 25th of may after a nairalander suggested that.

from that 25 may- today being 09 June, it has generated over $50 and today's isn't yet over. The clicks comes more at midnight.

Sometimes, it would make 4$, 5$ but average is $3.80 daily.

The last one has traffics but the visitors doesn't really click on ads.

If the first continues with this pace, it would be bringing 120$ every month.

So you see, parking isn't really dead.
if i were you i will allow it run.

Things you should note before registering a name, they include but not limited to:

1. Don't take Estibot value or appraisal seriously. It is okay to check the domain statistics, nothing more. If you go through the recent sales on this thread, you'd notice that 90% of them were valued at less than $100.

2. Don't register a domain name because you "love it." Reality will smile at you when you're unable to make a sale. Follow the due procedures and assess the usability of the name before paying for it.

3. Check the city's population as this might be a determinant factor in picking up a name. A population of 100,000 and above is considered okay.

4. Check the sales of related or similar name on Namebio/king or DomainIndex/king (also serves as an appraisal tool) or even this thread.

5. Go to Archive.org (wayback machine) to ascertain what the name was used for in the past. Some domains were used for spamming or porn sites. No end user wants that!

6. If the wayback machine's result returns positive, head over to Google and type the name in the search with quote (""wink. Remember to remove the .com in order to get optimal result.

Flip the search by removing the quote this time. Check the number of sites using the keywords in your domain. This would determine the number of end users available to you.

7. Go to Google Maps and type in the domain name without the .com. Count the number of businesses offering similar service and note them down.

8. Visit Facebook and type the same keyword(s) to get prospects.

9. Merge the number of the Google search result, Facebook result, as well as the Google Maps result to get your total end-users.

10. Manually or automatically harvest the end users' emails and start pitching them.

Ignore all errors, my eyes are semi-closed while typing this. Can't proofread. grin

Read more, research extensively, and pick up valuable names. Ultimately, put God first and seek his blessings.

I wish you good luck in this domain business.
Good morning. cool

@ bolded,

Guy, if you typed all this ones with your eyes semi closed, wetin you wan come type with your eyes open??

That means you go write full textbook be that nau....that's the Ababio, Modern Biology, Nelkon, PN Okeke of domaining all together, lol.

Nice one Bro!

Maybe a lot of us are focusing too much on .com domains. There is a gold mine in other tlds like .co, which is relatively the same price as .coms

No use my mouth oh. Do your research.

Me I am experimenting with some to see the end game.

I've already spotted some multinationals on a domain I just picked.

Meanwhile, @Liftkid make we relate.
Drop your number or Whatsapp number....I've lost access to my Nairaland email address so can't access PMs.
Phone number is preferred, WhatsApp chatting generally wastes time which most serious people don't have in abundance.

You can space it with dots or convert it to words so it doesn't get picked up by spammers and scrapers.
You can mention me in a dead thread and drop your number, if you don't want to drop it here in this thread.
And then remove it once I've seen it.

Lol, Bros, calm down. grin
That domain is not all that bad.
You'll be surprised he can get a sale for it.
There are various uses that domain can be put to, including for people who want to learn about public speaking, people and businesses who want to connect with journalists to get their story published and get free publicity, etc.
I won't be surprised if that name is listed and gets sold for up to 4 figures.
Worse names than that get sold everyday on Namepros and leave you scratching your head like...WTF was in the buyer's mind
Only the buyer will know what's in his mind, lol.

@Ravern, I'll say, if you've registered it, keep the domain and list it on all marketplaces.
It might not sell fast, but it's a sellable name.
Though like brandable names, it may take some time to sell.
And if you don't want it or don't have patience/funds to hold it for a long time, you can refund it and get a geodomain. Or if it's too late to refund, you can contact me and I might take it off your hands.

If you haven't registered it yet, see my above points and decide whether you want to go ahead with it or not.

The bolded exactly. I asked about a name earlier today and oga ElonMosque said no. grin grin grin

Theres a thing to some names... Here's the way i see names (mostly brandables), the name has to be meaningful - like there must be a meaning to the words in the name. Some words are just wordplay, some are direct hit. I use both Google and Dictionary in coining names or verify one if i have to scavenge.

"AudibleFit" - Audible - Able to be heard. (According to google) Fit - of a suitable quality, standard, or type to meet the required purpose (According to google). So when SOMETHING that is Able to be heard is of Suitable quality and standard, it is AudibleFit Simply my structure of explaining the name.

Few weeks back, someone sold "MellowTiger" - Mellow - Easygoing, Tolerant, Amicable. But we can agree a Tiger is an opposite of these features but it was merged today and someone paid quite a price for it. Another example of such name is "HotIce", someone would say it doesnt make sense. grin grin grin grin grin

I'm sure if i register Kapachumarimarichupako dot come, it would be labelled as nonsense but when Zlatan decide to start his brand and buys is for hundreds of thousand, the it become a nice name.

Last bullet - No name makes sense till the owner comes for it.

No offence bro but u dropped the name here to seek for the opinion of others.
If u 100% know the name is a good name and it will sell then what's the point of asking for the opinion of other ppl?

Nothing is set in stone in domaining.. That Mr. A does not see value in a certain name does not mean the name won't sell. Mr. A probably has a set criteria for names he considers good names and that name does not fit into that criteria...
That said, any name can sell in domaining does not mean one should start registering any name he/she sets her eyes on because "any name can sell".

As u are sure Kapachumarimarichupako dot com will sell for hundreds of thousands, then wots stopping u from registering it?
Is the whole point of domaining not registering names one believes will sell in the nearest future?
