I gave my four years old daughter my old phone to be using, no Sim card though, yet I still ponder if this is proper. Should I take it back or let her have it?

There is no need for that now, if you have an adult at home that stays with her, you did rather give it to the adult, she will know that it belongs to the house but in the care of the adult

If call comes in, the adult picks and if you want to speak with her, the phone will be given to her

I think what she needs now is an Ipad with downloaded children games and nursery rhymes

For the fact the phone is not working makes it worst because she will not like having a non functioning phone and will use it rough

By the time you give her a good working phone, it will be used roughly too

You could get your kid a kid's tab . You put just what you need him/her to see..

That is a good question!

There are no good sides to what you have done that isn't temporary and marginal or replaceable with more healthier alternatives. Technology in general is made to appeal or at least get you hooked, all tech.The downsides then. Be ready for an extremely addicted kid who will try to skid meals, study, rest and sleep time to have a fill. The rest would lead you questioning where you went wrong. Curb your use of them talk less a four year old.
