I am still jobless and there is nothing I haven't tried, believe me. Currently I'm managing my blog and hoping it will get approved for Adsense. I believe I will succeed in life. I didn't spoil someone's own.

When did you finish school/nysc?

Okay; Many interesting stories..
Here is my case; i graduated from University & finished my NYSC in 2012. Ever since then i have been Jobless & Nigeria labour Market can be so frustrating if you don't have anyone to link you up. Fast forward to 2017, i went into Mobile Softwares & Hardwares repairs, got my training in 1year with additional 6months to back up my skills & perfection.. In 2019 i got my own Phone Repairs shop & selling of its Accessories. Honestly, there is money in phone business & i do go bck with nothing less than 10k every single day then multiply it with 30days in a month. Local man making money more than sum white collar jobs.

All thanks to God, never doubt ur ability in life & u wll make it...Just keep pushing.

I started hustling during my nysc. I learnt how to make beads and wire works which was bringing small money then. After my service year few months I got marketing job with one insurance company, I couldn't cope I went back to my initial hustling.

Later I went and learn how to to make footwears like pan slippers and sandals both male and female, I started my own but it was not easy.

I went back to school for my master program. After that I got marketing job again with another company then save money and also borrow from my sister and open my own shop where I do my shoe business both amending and new one
O boy come see female shoe marker l no send ooo but there's still good people in this world specially men they really patronized and encouraged me. Everything was going we'll .

After about two months or so God blessed me with a wonderful job I relocate to the east then when I settled down and I was planning to go back to Abuja to carry my business down to East boom lockdown.

Once this lockdown is over i will bring my business down here by grace of God because with my job I can still do other businesses. This my story.
Keep on fighting don't give up God will bless your hand work one day.

Please start small. Don't be ashamed of whatever you're doing.

good thread

I have quite an interesting story. I wasted some years at home as a medical graduate looking for an internship placement. What I did next was to learn how to flash phones and computers and made a good living out of it. Till I finally got a placement and then a job subsequently.

Frankly, I made a lot of money then as so many people are there who needs one or two stuffs to be done on their phones or computers.

Sometimes sef, I dey reason sey this job na scam.

Anyway, we thank Oluwa for all the years of learning and earning.

The sky's the limit.

Real scam but helping better than doing nothing because it kicks few box into my pocket

thing happened to me. It's almost impossible to find trustworthy people in our today's world. It almost became a police case. Didn't even get to recover all of my money. People with conscience are very few these days. I didn’t even get any penny. I didn’t want a police case cos I didn’t trust dem too . Someone even said I should go to his wife cos she works with first bank in that area. I even wanted to get my friends in d social media space involved to drag his name on social media and troll him but mehnnnn that’s too much drama Nd I don’t like dramas . I do my best to avoid dramas. Now I know why some people go as far as killing someone who derailed in bizness. But Godforbid that I do it. It’s over one year and I’ve let it go but now I’m scared of going into any bizness at all. I feel like I won’t do well or I might b swindled.
sorry about your experience, it's difficult to find trustworthy people out there but don't give up on business. You can start a little business you can handle by yourself like POS business, trading.
Alternatively, you can venture into fashion design, fishery, poultry etc.

My story, well I can't just explain. Lots of hardwork and disappointment won't go into full details. I believe it's all God's plan and I will never give up. I'm someone who is academically brilliant. In fact if I was told at a point then that I will be in this current position, I will never believe it..

After I graduated from sec school 2013, 2014 I got admission into a University in Ghana for a four years course.(iT).. things went smoothly as I expected but Towards the start of my 300l second semester, got a call from my dad asking me to come back home that he can't make up for the semester's tuitions fees so I have to defer the semester because of finance. This was the period dollar skyrocketed from N150/$ I think to about N300/$.

So I was asked to collect my transcript, which I did..I then applied for a transfer from my Ghana institution to a federal University here in Nigeria. Everything went smoothly and I had to start from 200L. This time the course is 5 years because it's a technology university. I'm Now in my 500L. Finished my one year internship in an oil and gas company this February 2020, I did very perfectly in the interview I wasn't deployed to the department i applied for(according to the learning adviser of the firm). The HR department of the firm had to keep me with them cuz I have vast knowledge of some many things even as I didn't even study Human resources as a course but did some part of management, finance and accounting in school..

I'm suppose to resume back to school April but couldn't because of the pandemic. I'm currently 24 and still lives with my parents..(so sad) Well.. I used the opportunity to learn two things Forex and Mobile app development..

At first i did Forex for a while. So many hours of reading.. I was making reasonable profit but because of insufficient capital to continue I decided to withdraw n save more for later to when I have reasonable capital. I then opted to learning mobile app development and so far it's been fun for me. though , lots of sleepless nights studying n trying to perfect it. I've progressed a lot. In fact I can take jobs online creating just the mobile UI but I refused to because I might stop learning once I start making money from it. So I put in the hard work everyday. I still make little income from hustling in the street.
Aside the Forex n mobile app dev. I'm also good in anything concerning computers. Whether hardware or software. I'm gifted as most of my friends say. Never learnt from anybody (I hack systems sometimes, educational purposes only) I use tutorials a lot to
learn. Some of my friends do tell me to go into Yahoo that will pay me handsomely but that is never my thing. I just ignore them

After I graduate,
My Plan A: Currently on a first class CGPA and I have the highest in my department. I pray I finish in flying colours. Heard my school do give scholarships to first class graduate and I'm hoping to capitalise on that so as to further my education to that of Masters and Phd and hope God put a smile on my face afterwards

Plan B: is to use my little savings after I graduate as a reasonable capital for my Forex trading and at the same time make Steady income developing mobile apps. I've always don't want to work for anybody. I so much believe in myself n I believe the best investment is investing In yourself..

I know there will be challenges along the line but I pray God sees me through and my dreams of having my own I.T firm comes to past.
I just need someone to remind me every day never to give up cry

never give up bro, check your pm lets talk on this forex trading. we can work things out.

Try working on fiverr. If you have any ICT skill, it'll really help you. I started freelancing on fiverr and it's still helping me till date. You can make more than 500k a month if you're good

For me, I concluded my schooling (Caritas Private University) and service when i was 22 years. I stayed with my widowed mother till i became 24. That 2 years was full time war because I battled within myself over my non- educated friends that are mostly into tanker and Container motor drivers flourishing while me that much is expected from had nothing but "thank you" whenever i finish eating my mums food ( not jealousy though)

Mid of my 24 years, i moved in to stay with my sister in Enugu. Away from home, i was more free to engage my self no matter how humiliating the work look.

I started with Teaching. I was paid 15k per month, after 5 or 6 months of saving, i rented my own apartment, Used the remaining money to buy rice, tomato paste and beans in large quantities. I made good savings before the year ran out.

The next year, i opened a phone charging place and employed a girl while I was still teaching . Money started flowing in small small. I had about 300k few months later so, I opened Firstmonie outlet.

I started massive saving. I was targeting to open an iron company where i will sell building materials last 2 years, but the required capital is too much so, I went into rice.

I am Thankful to God for where i am today.

You can still make it if you don't have a job. Just start as small as possible.

Move away from home and squat with your sibling or good friend if you are too ashamed or not free to engage yourself.
.

this one touch me bro cos I'm still jobless.. I'll be 28 and I'm still with my mom..but with what you wrote up here you have really impacted something into me..and I believe God will make a way soon
