My comment is not about your answer quoted below but the name you chose to call yourself--- alBagdadi. We know that is not your real name but the pseudonym you chose for yourself. Is the man in question your hero? Someone you secretly admire? If the name of a terrorist and morally depraved fellow is the identity you willingly take up, then something is seriously wrong somewhere. Like you concluded in your answer quoted, I counsel you to: Use your common sense. alBHAGDADI: |

alBHAGDADI:Oga if you see my post, you will see that I crossed abolished. Crossed for a reason, yet I included it for a reason. Why? Because in fulfilling the Law of Moses, Jesus ABOLISHED it. And this means that the Laws of Moses are not in effect in the eyes of God anymore as the standard for judgment. If you like, when your neighbor rapes someone, go and stone him to death according to Moses laws you hear. Let's see if you won't end up in hell for murder, condemned for all eternity by the same Laws of Moses by which you have lived! That’s the Scriptures below, I didn't write it. Choose any translation you like! Ephesians 2:15 ► New International Version by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, New Living Translation He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. English Standard Version by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, Berean Study Bible by abolishing in His flesh the law of commandments and decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace Berean Literal Bible having annulled in His flesh the law of commandments in ordinances, so that He might create in Himself the two into one new man, making peace, New American Standard Bible by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, New King James Version having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, King James Bible Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Christian Standard Bible he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace. Contemporary English Version to destroy the Law of Moses with all its rules and commands. He even brought Jews and Gentiles together as though we were only one person, when he united us in peace. Good News Translation He abolished the Jewish Law with its commandments and rules, in order to create out of the two races one new people in union with himself, in this way making peace. Holman Christian Standard Bible He made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace. International Standard Version He rendered the Law inoperative, along with its commandments and regulations, thus creating in himself one new humanity from the two, thereby making peace, NET Bible when he nullified in his flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, New Heart English Bible having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace; Aramaic Bible in Plain English And he has canceled the hatred by his flesh and the law of commands in his commandments, that for the two, he would create in his Person one new man, and he has made peace. GOD'S WORD® Translation He brought an end to the commandments and demands found in Moses' Teachings so that he could take Jewish and non-Jewish people and create one new humanity in himself. So he made peace. New American Standard 1977 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, King James 2000 Bible Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; American King James Version Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; American Standard Version having abolished in the flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man,'so making peace; Douay-Rheims Bible Making void the law of commandments contained in decrees; that he might make the two in himself into one new man, making peace; Darby Bible Translation having annulled the enmity in his flesh, the law of commandments in ordinances, that he might form the two in himself into one new man, making peace; English Revised Version having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the twain one new man, so making peace; Webster's Bible Translation Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances: to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; Weymouth New Testament by setting aside the Law with its commandments, expressed, as they were, in definite decrees. His design was to unite the two sections of humanity in Himself so as to form one new man, World English Bible having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace; Young's Literal Translation the enmity in his flesh, the law of the commands in ordinances having done away, that the two he might create in himself into one new man, making peace, |

Openbusiness:Sorry, the laws are in effect for every nation that wants to be under God. Most American laws were straight from the Bible until evil Obama started changing them e.g homosexuality. Jesus didn't destroy not abolish the Laws of Moses. He said so himself. But you are saying otherwise. Mathew 5:17 KJV Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. That means they still stand. As an individual, I can't implement some of them on my own. The country is to implement them. This means that if I see a rapist, I can't stone him to death. But if the law of a country as inspired by the Bible orders his stoning, I won't be blamed by God for participating in the stoning. God ordered it, the country followed and the citizens carried it out. But doing so without the country ordering it will mean I have taken law into my own hands. |

Openbusiness:You still don't understand. Jesus Christ out a stop to the dependence on the law as a means to heaven because he's the only way to heaven. He didn't say the law can now be broken. No, it only means obeying it can't get you to heaven. It can only give you peace here on Earth and reward in heaven, not the key to heaven. |

You went on and on crying and having a fit over how a lady dresses, how come when backward human beings and rape apologists like you travel to saner countries, how come you never feel like raping their ladies who are practically nude sunbathing in the parks? How come you don't try raping them and then try to blame that on indecent dressing? You can only preach your nonsense 'indecent dressing' to your own child, mother and wife. You should shut up about it when talking to other ladies. Because it is simply not your business. We literally have more men who are improperly dressed, men going out with nothing more than a pair of boxers... No one castigates them. No one rapes them for it. But if it's a lady, hypocrites like the Op will come out and start forming holy just so you can bash those ladies. Well, it is none of your business. It really is sickening that we still have people in this age who think like you do. If a lady so wants, let her go around stark naked, you have no right to touch or molest her however she is dressed. Any man who molests a lady however she is dressed is no more than an animal and is not fit to live among men. So Op, save your rape apology and sermon for your own family biko. alBHAGDADI: |

alBHAGDADI:Friend, that is obviously the wrong interpretation of that scripture. Lay hold in English always implies the application of force. There is absolutely no mention of any consent. To lay hold is literally to place a strong grip. This verse is talking about rape and it is obvious, for how could a man humble a woman with whom he had consensual sex? Be guided sir. |

masterP042:Atheist like u will try so hard to twist the truth to deceive the guillible just to justify your deminic claim. The OP was clear in his write up. 28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. This third case is consensual sex becaus they were found, not that she cried out for help. |

masterP042:The Bible was not written by a carnal man like you who always believed his existence on earth is by his actions, efforts and strength but rather it was written by the inspiration of God. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. *2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV* |

Good write up. Thanks for the effort. But u misinterpreted the thing somehow. Things don't have to suit us. What is written is what it is. whether it suits you or not. The purnishment for rape here is in verse 25 and 28. Death if the lady is engaged to someone else or a fine and compulsory marriage with no option of divorce if she is not engaged to anyone. Period!!! There is no boy friend, girl friend, consensual anything here. Thanks. |
| Re: The Punishment The Bible Prescribes For Rape by masterP042(m): 11:40am On Jun 14, 2020 |
KingRollins01:If it is consensual sex, why was the lady not punished too like the other preceding verses, where both were found guilty? Why will the man be the one to pay and even marry her? I don't like arguing about these archaic laws. They hold no importance in these modern times. How an all knowing God could come up with such punishments baffles me, stoning to death just because two people had sex and it's called adultery. To lay hold on someone means to seize someone, it's forceful. So any lady that is raped within the walls of the city will be stoned to death, but if she was raped outside, she's safe only the man is punished.. My heart and thoughts goes to the poor virgins that were raped within the walls, even when they were overpowered and couldn't shout for help. |

SmartyPants:He humbles her by taking away her pride which is her virginity. Lay hold is not force not cannot be equated with rape. it is simply to hold on to something. 1 Timothy 6:12 KjV Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. |
| Re: The Punishment The Bible Prescribes For Rape by CHoccolaTE: 11:47am On Jun 14, 2020 |
alBHAGDADI:The most irritating part of this write up is that OP did not advice men to flee from rape. He is busy focusing on blaming women like a typical male. Why can he not also add advice to perverted males and tell them to never force a woman no matter how she is dressed because dressing is not invitation to rape no matter how flimsy the dress is. Tell your fellow men to practise self control and stop seeing women as tools to satisfy their sexual perversions. |
| Re: The Punishment The Bible Prescribes For Rape by Nobody: 11:48am On Jun 14, 2020 |
Rubbish. The third scenario is rape and the Bible prescribed 50 shekels as how much you pay to buy your rape victim for life. I understand all the tricks you played here to confuse the gullible ones like you. If I had that time I would expose your lies and hypocrisy |
