NGpatriot: If after 60 years of independent all your state enterprises are not working, then there is something wrong. That is simple logic to ignorant and irresponsible people. Quota system destroys meritocracy. A government without merit is a government that will be corrupt and lawless, what do you think a man that has ascended to the role of director of a government agency through a quota system or poor education would when faced with complex tasks. The reason why NLNG is profitable is that the Nigeria government is a minority shareholder in the organisation. Awolowo free education program was a noble effort to provide basic education to all Nigerian in the Western region, but the consequence was that the standard of education deteriorated because the UPN state governments didn't have the funds and management skills to support mass free education programme. The products of UPN free education programme of the 1980s are now the hopeless government officials that are now involved in all forms of corruption and lawlessness in 2020. The same can be said of the all-regions in Nigeria when you destroy meritocracy you open the gates to corruption and lawlessness. common sense should have prevailed, free education model should have operated side by side with the private-owned missionary schools that provided qualitative education. |

thegreengooner: it does! Do you have any other reason why NNLG operation is a success story? While the majority of Nigeria government-controlled organisations are failures, NNPC can't even operate basic oil refineries. |

sulaak: So, the quota system was responsible for installing Jona into office, was also responsible for 8 years of OBJ and 16 years of wholescale looting and stealing regime. The quota system also made Jona load up his administration with ibo people left and right as ministers, directors, agency GMs, ambassadors and so on even though after their years in office, they left a trail of abandoned projects all over Nigeria, empty treasury and seriously hemorrhaging economy. The ibo finance minister was borrowing hundreds of billions of Naira every month to pay workers salary till her last days in office, she declared austerity measures in 2014 when oil was selling for $77/barrel. Was the quota system responsible for that ibo incompetence and gross mismanagement of our finances? The Lagos Ibadan Railway sat on the drawing board for 13 years from OBJ to Jona, but thank God for your ignorant and perceived quota system people, PMB tose to the occasion and finished the project in less than 4 years. The same Lagos Ibadan railway cost $1.3 billion, but the $2.7 billion Jona stole and gave to Dasuki to share with his conies was enough to build 2 Lagos Ibadan railway. How come the quota system people always the only people bold and willing to build infrastructures in your SE states? Tafa Balewa built your 1st Niger Bridge while your ibo and PDP useless people denied you the 2nd Niger bridge for 30 years until another quota system president aka PMB showed up to construct the bridged for you. ZIK mausoleum was abandoned by your non-quota system uncles, PDP and your forever loving Jona, but who rose to the occasion and completed the project in less than 3 years? Another quota system president. Moral of your bigoted, ignorant and pedestrian story, the quota system people are obviously more competent, more credible, more caring and accomplished than all your useless and incompetent leaders. The sad and pathetic joke is on you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

sulaak: You misunderstood my point. NNPC is the largest shareholder with 49%. This is without prejudice to the operational structure of NLNG. I just wanted to correct the impression you made that they were minority shareholders. The other shareholders have different business objectives so consensus is the way decisions are made at board level and not by majority vote. Shell holds a 25.6% share, together with NNPC (49%), Total (15%) and ENI (10.4%). |

sulaak: Not surprised that you are void of the capacity to read, comprehend and digest simple English words, but I'll just go ahead and break down to granular and elementary level that subscribe to. 1. You blamed everything on ignorance and quota system, but we've had and still have people from all the 4 corner walls of Nigeria as participants in every administration from Yoruba, Hausa, Ibo and everything inbetween so where is the quota system? 2. Was Jona a product of a quota system? Were all ibo his appointees as directors, managers, ambassadors and so on were products of the quota system? 3. The so-called uneducated illiterates in the North that ignorants and bigots like you love to belittle with the quota system rubbish performed better than the so-called educated incompetents from the south, Jona and his worthless PHD was the most useless, crooked, corrupt and incompetent ever. 4. Nearly all the critical and major infrastructures in Nigeria were built by leaders from the North. 5. 1st and 2nd NB were built by Northern leaders 6. 3rd Mainland was built by Northern leaders 7. 30 years abandoned Warri Itakpe railway completed by a northerner. 8. For 13 years Lagos Ibadan railway was left dead and comatose on the drawing board by your useless southern leaders, but started and completed by a Norther. 9. Lagos Ibadan express was left to decay, to rot and ultimately abandoned by southern leaders, it too a norther to give it the need attention once and for all. 10. Zik mausoleum was abandoned by southern leaders including PHD Jona for 26 years, but a northern leader completed it in no time. Now, do you see how ignorant and bigoted you sound? Before your next ignorant post, make sure you show up with the achievements of the so-called educated non-quota system southern leaders. Ignorant bigots with upside-down mentality. 1 Like 1 Share |

NGpatriot: Rubbish, So-called Northern leaders that can't protect their own people from bandits, Fulani herders and terrorist. They build some rails and roads for $2 billion and then steal $40 billion. Yet, this idiot thinks they are developing Nigeria. |

sulaak: I was actually expecting you to list the infrastructures your educated southern leaders built on behalf of Nigerians and also explain to us why our southern leaders are not responsible for any meaningful infrastructure in Nigeria instead of ignorantly gyrating to attention deficit disorder with irrelevant rubbish about bandits. Of course when ignorant people like you can not defend your ignorant, bigoted and unintelligent rubbish, you latch on to another ignorant, bigoted and irrelevant nonsense. Again, list accomplishments of your educated southern leaders. Ignorant and illiterate bigots. 1 Like 1 Share |

sulaak: See, you can not even support your ignorant and bigoted tribal rubbish with sane, rational and logical facts. So, you can not show us the achievements of your so called non quota system and educated southerners? Why are the quota system northerners the ones starting and fishing all the projects abandoned by your useless southern leaders in the SE? How come the northerners are responsible for all the major projects in Nigeria including the ones abandoned by your useless southern leaders. Northerners built your first Niger bridge and another Northerner is building your 2nd NB, the same bridge that your PHD educated southerners refused to build? Ignorant and bigoted tribalist, when was the last time you look in the mirror.? 1 Like |
