I was contacted by two different employers for openings they had. One was a recruiter hiring for a client, the other was the employer himself.

They both wanted to fill the roles urgently and were contacting candidates whose CVs they had from way back. The recruiter had my CV from an application of 2018, the other guy had my CV from an application of 2017.

I declined both interviews because the role they were looking to fill, is one I currently do, but I desperately want to move away from, right now. The pay for both jobs was really good too.

The recruiter contacted me the last week of March, before govt announced the lockdown. The other contacted me 12th of June (this month)

Here is what I know, if you believe that jobs are scarce or will be hard to come by, because of the pandemic, what you think/believe will work for you.

If you think or believe otherwise (that work opportunities abound, irrespective of covid) your thoughts/beliefs will work for you as well. It's a thing of the mind.

I have a colleague who constantly gets on my nerves in the office, this person is always moaning about how it will be extremely difficult for anyone to find a job in this season, companies won't be hiring for a long time, blah, blah, blah. The negativity and doomsday prophesies are annoying and I wonder to myself, how can anyone think like this or live like this?

While they are busy proclaiming this bullshit, I am busy looking for new opportunities in this climate and even being contacted, from past job applications of 2 and 3 years ago.

Most of the articles that you see on different websites are not necessarily written by the owners of the website, they pay people to help them write, that's what I do. I get paid to write articles for people or firms. Personally I collect a cheap rate of one naira for one word. Some collect three naira per word. So if I write a thousand words for you that's one thousand naira for me...imagine I write that for five different articles for one person that's five thousand naira. Then imagine five thousand naira articles for three different people...thats fifteen thousand naira per week. I have my flexibility of job in the sense that I schedule the days that I will work...say maybe Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday...i write you pay me...15,000 per week times four weeks is 60,000....on my bed o....and trust me I am not exaggerating. The only thing is your time. If you know how to manage your time, you will enjoy it

honestly I don't think I can teach you..just head to the literature section and apply for jobs there in the ad/hire subsection. You will improve with time as you do more jobs

Someone sent me a post on whatsapp about an organisation looking for an accountant, so I applied knowing full well I wasn't qualified for the job, it was meant graduate and I'm in my final year in NOUN... I applied with faith based on my experience in the filed... A week later I was called on a Sunday afternoon for interview, I was interviewed thrice in different locations and day... Not knowing the organisation is a money machine organisation, I messed up when I was asked *How much I would like to be paid* I told the lady interviewing me, based on my qualifications (still an undergraduate) 35-45k won't be a bad idea.... Didn't want to look too greedy, that was my mistake! She said, good thing u said based on your qualification, that she will talk to her boss who interviewed me with her the first day I came for interview about my salary and allowance, I was employed that moment to resume woke the following day, working Monday to Saturday 6am to 6am, 35k per month and daily allowance of 1k...

na only govt job fit make me wake early in the morning to work and returned late
