Ohhh... Charles Na You? I hope say you don calm down. wink

Anyway, thing is as long as Iwobi's importance to the team is not lost on the Super Eagles Coaching crew, then I am fine with it. At least they won't be swayed by fans who don't know or understand Iwobi's importance.

so much and it hurts me badly. Players we deem superb are does who dribbles around the pitch with little work off the ball.

Alex is a superb player if we really understand his game and also a good team player. Saw thw game with liverpool few minutes ago where he played strictly to ancelotti's instruction by being more defensive nothwithstanding made decisive passes when the opportunity came.

Alex is the most underated nigerian player currently

Digressing a bit.... With Real Madrid's win today, La liga is surely going down to the wire mehn.

Barca and Madrid tied on points. Barca with better goals difference. But Madrid got the head to head advantage. A real photo finish looms.

In Latvia, Miracle Chikezie Nwaorisa scored the winner for his side Spartaks Jurmala as they ran out 2-1 winners in a league game.

That game saw Five Nigerian youngsters feature for Spartaks Jurmala. Three from the start. Two off the bench.

u no go see his efforts on the pitch cus u no sabi ball. Even arsenal fans today are missing alex.

He is not a player to wow u with dribbles and goals but very efficient in what he does best which are 1 touch football qnd linking the midfield with the attackers. Iwobi a thorough arsenal bred player and if you understands wengers philosophy you will know thw reason he rated alex so high
I no sabi ball, I gree but if to say you sabi the little wey I sabi, you go sabi say Iwobi has the potentials to wow you with goals and dribble but dude has just been annoyingly lazy and has refused to improved. The truth is - Iwobi, instead of improving has been declining

na me, waka lol

A typical super eagles fan is so obsessed with a dribbling number 10 which was caused by us been use to jay jay's dazzling and dribbling which is the main reason everybody is clamouring and praying ebere eze changes allegiance to us but fail to admit the fact that the typical number 10 role we all know is dying off.

AMs who are on high demand are CAMs such as fenandes, de bryne, pogba etc, these are players who functions as AM and CM at the same time on the pitch of play.

Iwobi is very reliable and intelligent player with impressive work rate as displayed today. His game is not about scoring and dribbling but one touch football and making decisive passes without dancing with the ball unnecessary.

Well, in the end shaa, I agree with calls for Competition in Iwobi's role for the team. But I also hope Nigerian fans begin to see that Iwobi is a key player for us.

For today, Everton was up against the league leaders. Iwobi had more to do defensively than offensively when you consider the high quality of the opposition today. He made 1 tackle, 2 interceptions, and 2 clearances. We hardly saw him on the offensive today and that explains why he didn't do above average. Also, maybe he would have had a goal if Richarlison had not played selfish.

Let me just show you a graphical example of what Iwobi brings to the Eagles. A key player to our fast phases of play in attack in the final third. It is true he needs competition but he is also doing good in the GWG.

Below is an Iwobi Activity/pass map vs Ukraine

Courtesy of Solace Chukwu's Supersub.

Key:

Arrows

Blue: passes received
Green: passes completed
Red: unsuccessful passes
Black: shot(s) on target
Pink: shot(s) off target

Dots

Black: recoveries
Red: tackles
Orange: interceptions

Some people haven't taken the time to really understand what Iwobi brings hence they keep underrating the lad and calling him hyped. Even Arsenal fans know better now. Iwobi is really underrated in here.
Wow.. His work rate is so impressive. He is more of a left winger who occasionally bombs into the mid-field and enjoy the luxury of a 10. But those key passes and passing accuracies are really impressive. Very true Alex is grossly underrated and the first to receive the stone when things fall apart. Same way people feel about Ndidi not until recently.

Arsenal: Bukayo Saka is now the biggest contract problem
by Andrew Dowdeswell

Bukayo Saka was Arsenal’s best player in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton. With a year remaining on his current deal, the 18-year-old now poses the biggest contract problem to the club.

Arsenal have lots of crucial decisions to make this summer. Mikel Arteta is entering his first summer transfer window at the helm and, following Unai Emery’s disastrous 18-month tenure, he has lots of loose ends to tie up.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the most prominent problem. The 31-year-old has a year left on his contract, looks increasingly disinterested at the club, but is the top goalscorer, captain, and Arteta is keen to keep him. There is no perfect solution to his future.

There are others, too. Dani Ceballos will return to Real Madrid on loan, David Luiz may have already played his last game for the club, Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis both have contracts that expire next summer, while Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan present huge drains on the wage bill, so much so that the club has repeatedly tried and failed to offload them.

But for all of these issues, and all of them will need to be solved this summer, the biggest contractual conundrum that Arsenal must somehow find an answer to relates to young Bukayo Saka, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the brightest young talents in the Premier League.

The 18-year-old has been superb in his first season with the senior squad, especially since Arteta arrived. Initially at left-back and now in midfield, either on the wing or an inverted central midfield role that allows him to drift towards the left flank, Saka continues to prove that he is capable of producing on the senior stage. He was the best player on the pitch in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Brighton.

However, like with almost anything vaguely positive for Arsenal at present, this is a catch. And with Saka, it is a rather large and looming one. The teenager has stalled discussions regarding a new contract and could leave on a free next summer if he continues to reject the Gunners’ advances.

Arteta is keen to keep Saka, as he has said publicly, and Arsenal do not need reminding what can happen when you lose high-quality young players on the cheap. Serge Gnabry, Donyell Malen, Jeff Reine-Adelaide and Ismael Bennacer have all flourished since leaving the Emirates on the cheap or for free. Saka cannot be added to that list.

How the club can solve the Saka problem is difficult to determine. If he refuses to sign a new deal, as Gnabry did in 2016, the club may have to sell in the hope that they can recoup a high transfer fee before losing him for nothing. And in the current climate, any fee they get will not be what he might be worth in three, four or eight years time.

Keeping Saka is of the utmost importance. Arteta knows this. Arsenal know this. And yet, there might be nothing that they can do about it. This is now the biggest contract problem to solve.
