How can a city with 1,381 sq miles land mass have the largest population of residents in Nigeria?

Lagos is home to 22 million people.(15,930 people/sq mile) compared to Abuja with a population of 3,095,000. (4,640 people/sq mile).
Already much larger than cities such as New York City and London, it's adding 77 residents per hour as people move from less industrial parts of Nigeria. By 2100 Lagos will be the world's largest city, home to between 85 million and 100 million people, according to demographers.

Unfortunately most residents of Lagos dont pay taxes like income tax,company tax for self employed persons.People are mostly involved in the informal sector where taxation is difficult.

I think Nigerian churches make more money than the Govt with tithes, offerings ,prophectic offering,seeds etc.3,7 trillion is a little money to be shared by a population of 200,000,000.(N 19,000 per person/yr).
Nigeria is really a poor country.

Greedy South West and North will not agree, Lagos is congested because the seaport, international airport is only found in it.

South Africa have more than 6 seaport spread all over the country and also many standard international Airport.

Nigeria has only Lagos as major exit point for international travelers, only place to clear imported goods from abroad, only place for oil companies headquarters and so on. What did you expect.
