Good morning everyone, it's 11:38am in Milton Ontario, and thank you for having me once again.

I know you all would've been wondering about the planned Zoom meeting, in commemoration of my first year anniversary in Canada, which we talked about earlier. Yes! That's correct!

grin grin grin grin

We just have to praise God for His wonderful creation.

While some of you are preparing for work, or to pray, while some are still rolling on their bed, at exactly 5am in Lagos grin, we are here, in Milton Ontario, are just about getting ready to hit the bed, at 12am, if not for these boys that'll not sleep on their own unless you read them stories grin.

Like I said in my earlier post, quoted above, my timing is now so weird, so so weird! In fact, I had to reschedule my work period from 10am to 6:30pm; Saturday to Wednesday, and that's like 3pm to 11:30pm in Nigeria. And for your information, the heat of the sun at 6:30pm in Ontario can be compared to the heat of the sun in Lagos at 2:30pm on a typical sunny day. And after work, at 6:30pm, it is mandatory I take my two sons for walk at the park, or a bike ride through the trail, till around 9pm. Yes, the day is still very bright at this time because it is winter smiley smiley smiley. And it becomes very dark as early as 4:30pm during winter in Ontario. In some places, it could become deeply dark as early as 3pm.

I was actually expecting you guys to ask me what I do with the remaining three days that I don't work, since I work Saturday to Wednesday, for only eight hours, in the comfort of my living room, and I am not involve in the hustling and bustling of chasing danfo and BRT like I used to do in Lagos grin grin grin.

Well, your guess is as good as mine.

As a typical 9ja boy, so huna expect me to dey sleep for house for three days doing nothing abi? Huna well done o! grin grin grin.

My job offer me over time, at an even higher pay during this time. So, I kuku ma login and work myself out grin grin grin, abi? What else will I be doing if I'm not working? After all, na still computer I go dey press, or dey press phone, or watch annoying Nigerian news on ChannelsTV sad sad sad So, make I kuku dey work then... cheesy

In a nutshell, what I am trying to say is that I will take Sunday off, by God's grace, and we are going to have the planned Zoom meeting.
But sha o, make huna know say that's about 80k naira lost of wages in one day o grin.

Anyways, no problem! Na we we! We go do am.

I wish you all success in your quest to join us in Canada

If she can wait the time, there's nothing like "no Manitoba for you". In fact, this is the time for anyone wishing to do PnP to Manitoba to be getting ready, because since the last draw was done since last year around July, who knows, they may do it again around July this year. So, don't discourage him or her, let him try.

A friend of mine submitted her application for Manitoba last year and the draws was done three days after. She has have paid application fee as we speak. Waiting for biometric, if not for Coro.

So, you can't say...

YES. 100%

Thanks for the response. One last thing. I got into UNI via direct entry with a Diploma from the Nigerian French language village. What is required to send to WES to show I had the diploma as WES has specifically said they don’t Evaluate Diplomas gotten from there but I still need to prove I went there. I have unofficial transcripts and a To whom it may concern . Please let me know what you think might work.
Thank you.

Unilag won’t send your transcript to ETX. Just pay the 20k for DHL and you don’t need the BSc na
Can I then tell WES not to bother evaluating the BSC again?

Why evaluating the first degree?
My bad. I had a first class BSC but I didnt do very well during the MSC program. Reason I decided to evaluate the BSC too. What do you think? Should I tell WES not to bother evaluating the BSc again? I've paid already for the evaluation though.

Nothing consign Canada immigration with your CGPA. Third students are in Canada as immigrants.

highly unlikely they do the draws again as they can meet their quota easily from the categories above. Nigerians and Indians abused the family stream by doing arrangee relatives. A Nigerian sponsored over 20 people, another did for 4 people (arrangee). When we tell people not to cut corners they call you hater. Na the result be this

This one is for people who have submitted a previous TRV (visit visa) application.

Are the details (work exp, education, etc) in your TRV app the same as in your Express Entry/FSW app?

I actually noticed a minor error in my TRV app that I explained in my FSW app based on this judgement that joo2018 shared in 2018!

This one didn't declare a side hustle that she was NOT using to claim points for FSW, i.e. without this part time job she already had required points....but one thing led to another.....in providing ADR for the one she was claiming points for, they found out about this one.

A GTB employee......when IRCC checked with the bank HR, they said his ref letter was not signed according to mandate!

Pls allow HR to do your ref letter with job description.....if they are unable to, beg them to write an official letter or email that they are unable to.

Please does Wes accept photocopy of statement of result for OND and HND or must it be original? School is on lockdown so unable to get the certificates.

About one of your latest posts, I also had a TRV application some time ago that didn't go through. There I didn't include a work experience ( I have a registered E-commerce business where I'm one of the directors and we have a website) because as at the TRV application, the e-commerce business was just some months old.

Now my spouse and I are getting ready to enter the pool but I won't be the primary applicant so my work experience will go to work history.

Do you think I should include my position in the e-commerce business in my work history? It's a side hustle so the date will also over lap with my regular job too.

Please how do I handle this?
Thanks
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by amaya21: 10:31am On Jun 25, 2020
Just add it to your personal history section after ITA (not work history pre-ITA). Overlaps are permitted.

Please I would like to know about this CIIN certificate, I would like to know if it is recognized by WES as a degree, how many months it would take for the course, and if the certificate would be enough or I would have to get the diploma?

Thank you.

Waoh. I just tried to do it on Unilag website. The charge is now 30k (DHL delivery). I requested for my transcript only for now.
Does this mean if I want to also request for statement of result I will pay another 30k making it 60k??
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by ThowLou(m): 11:11am On Jun 25, 2020
Good Morning Everyone, putting this info out for pre-ECA candidates with a degree from Unilag that they want to evaluate. I hope this information helps, you can PM me if you need further clarifications.

PS/Disclaimer: I do not work in Unilag and this is only based on my personal experience when I was in the ECA process.

As far as I know, Unilag does not engage the services of ETX-NG so you have to apply for your transcript via the records portal- records.unilag.edu.ng

* Click on new application/track applications
* Tick the box for the program you wish to evaluate and select unique destination
* Document Type is Transcript
* Destination is North American Countries
* Dispatch method is courier service (private)
* Enter WES Address
* Click on proceed and pay online

If you have a contact, follow up with prayers and supplication for speedy processing

If you are yet to receive your certificate from Unilag, follow the steps above and repeat steps but request for your statement of result to be sent to your address. It’s this SOR that will be sent to WES in place of your certificate. This is important because WES will only complete your ECA when they verify your SOR and transcript from the University of Lagos

It’s also important to note that even if you pay for courier for your SOR, you’ll need to pick it up yourself as the courier fee is a joke to Unilag, they will not send your result via courier to you.

Also remember to be prayerful cos Unilag can give you serious headache during the wait period but with God everything is possible.

God who did for everyone here will complete yours too and we will all testify.

It's well o.. Lol.. Obviously you're still basking in the euphoria of your breakthrough and "one year anniversary'". Congrats.
But bro, if I may speak d mind of a lot of people here, it will be much appreciated if you channel a fraction of this energy to fixing a time for those who have been looking up to you and this elusive Zoom or Google Hangout meeting.
Thanks in advance for the sacrifice of the approx 80k and congrats once more.

No sir you won’t. The 30k includes verification fee now as far as I know. For the statement of result, select the option of picking up yourself cos even if you pay for courier, Unilag will not send your result to you. I paid twice and ended up picking it up myself. And SOR is not 30k, it’s about 5k and if it has increased, shouldn’t be over 10k. Does this clarify your concern?
