Hello Guys, Hope you all are having a fantastic day despite the odds.

Today, i'm introducing you guys to a dish that is common in the Middle East but which a lot of you can relate with, especially my Yoruba people. The dish is called 'MOLOKHIA SOUP' and it is made from the popular EWEDU leaf that you know. It is also called Jute leaf in English.

It can be eaten with Rice, swallow just like Ewedu or any how you want it.

It is something you may want to try out.

It's actually not Ewedu per se but is made out of Ewedu leaf.

I think molokhia and ewedu are quite different. I made the the mistake of buying it once. The texture and taste after cooking wasn't the same

Isrealis also eat ewedu with cheese and mutton


Arab eats Okro soup too even with rice, and they like their Okro diced very big and crunchy

Indians eat semolina, and youghurt blended with efirin leaf (mint leaf)

And the crazy part is Arab, Pakistani and Indians love eating with their bare hands and cigarette to them is like snacks, almost all of them smokes

It is the the same. We have different types of ewedu and the taste may be slightly different

Looks far better than the way Nigerians make ewedu....
I would prefer theirs to ours...

I'm sure the Igbo people would do better with this leaf

Even the ewedu we have here isn't the same. The leaves are some times different. Perhaps slight variations

Finally a deviation from the normal food I know. I would definitely try this. Virtually every food wey dey Yorubaland don tire me. I need something new Abeg.
