If the parents aren't convince enough, let them keep thier children at home, is that simple.. Nobody is forcing anybody to take their children to school. It's very simple.

There is no way enough classes won't be available for exit classes of JS3 and SS3 to finish their terms, especially when everyother classes are empty and the pupils to stay home for the meantime.

If they are awaiting for vaccine, they should wait for next six years to resume school.

GP tanks containing liquid soaps are in place at each school entry, and all pupils, staff, teachers will wear their face masks, likewise they will be all tested.

This APC government is wicked, just because they have not finished cashing out, they intend to continue the lockdown.

Where in Lagos are private lessons not on-going? And any witnessed death of children in any Local Govt? Go to all the markets in Nigeria, they are full to the brim with child hawkers selling and doing business. Yet no feared death tolls recorded.

Someone has got to take the lead. We can't just put all our lives on hold coz of a virus that NCDC keeps releasing bogus figures of. If things should work out in Oyo - which I believe it will - watch out for how other governors and states will follow suit.

Don't mind them, they are all afriad to take a step, the parent should keep their children at home till next 5 years, because that is the only time i think a vaccine will be found and well distributed.
You are right! I'm not surprised, Oyo is a pace setter state. If Oyo is ready, then schools can be opened.

Their old teachers nko? How about retransmitting it to older lesser immune parents

Is your useless JSS3 certificate and WAEC any benefitial to your whole life to kill yourself over

.

Guy, these same "older lesser immune parents", "Old Teachers", and children have been mingling and mixing about with both infected and uninfected people for months now... Is it within the school walls that something will finally change??! Is the virus more attracted to schools than markets, churches, hospitals, etc??! Are preventive measures less likely in schools than the aforementioned locations these same people have been visiting for months now, even without protection??!...

We don't always need to pretend and act like we are truly containing this pandemic like more serious nations...

Left to some of us, Germany, Italy, England and Spain should never have reopened their leagues....

I fully support the Oyo state government, the question is how long do we want to lockdown the economy, the FG government is not given palliative and there are no support from the FG, even the yeye palliative didn't get to more than 00000.1% of the population and the FG want state to totally lockdown. Workers are collecting full salary with little or no labour, for how long will this continue even the yeye lockdown we are all taking are people finding way around it and they are not obeying social distancing and most people are not even using face mask. As far as Lagos is concerned those lockdown are not working go government owned buses are carrying passenger to full capacity with the exception of those standing. In fact I would support full opening of the economy and let observe social distancing the best way we can. At least it's better for covid to kill somebody than to die of hunger because every man must die.

all these hypocrisy the parents are playing should just stop, its better they say they don't have money for the school fees yet and the government should look for means to help them.

These kids play all around the hood with their friends (classmates) and non of them is feeling sick or something, so why is it in their class rooms they will fall sick.

Governor Makinde God bless you for attempting to take the huge step, I hope NCDC won't start broadcasting that cases in your state have tripled.

I have felt the symptoms of Covid19 like 4 different times since January till now and I've recovered on my own with my herbs and body pain drugs (Panadol) so the virus is just over hyped and not dangerous as we were told.

FG please open our schools!

Funny lots!!!

As if Oyo state will independently take SSCE or will they ask the exam bodies to print for their state alone.

This is a step towards the wrong direction.

When that happen please keep your children at home.
