Good afternoon everyone,

Please i need your opinion on this.

Regarding proof of funds supporting documents, i have 3 accounts. One is a salary account and the other 2 are savings accounts. I intend to move the funds in the 2 savings account into my salary account (for a fat balance) and submit the salary account statement. However, the source of the funds will definitely raise questions.

Will the statement of accounts of the two savings account be sufficient to explain the source of the transferred funds into my salary account?

Or

Do i still have to explain this in my LOE?

Note: the balance in the two savings account will be zero after the transfer.

I didn’t, mainly because the space wasn’t enough, otherwise I would have submitted the salary account statement with it. Although, I also submitted another supporting bank statement (just not the salary account bank statement). I think if your payslip is your only supporting financial document you should submit the salary account statement along with it.

I have an alternative but it wasn't fair sha.

Phatkayconcept:

This is so so sad. I think you should write an emotional and down to heart letter to who ever delay that application and humbly ask if they can consider you for January admission or something.

I hope you have another school as an alternative.

So sorry bro!

Hello all.

Please I just got accepted to the masters in Medical Biotechnology program at University of Windsor, for Fall 2020 term (tho I started the application since December last year).

I am looking to begin my visa (study permit) application on Monday if possible.

1 am 21 years old, just completed Nysc (hence I don’t really have a full time job but I’m a trainee at a company), and I also have a personal account balance of around 6million (educational funds deposited by my parents). My total cost of attendance for two years is around 12million naira, and I intend to use my uncle (with a different surname) as my sponsor (his bank statement has about 16million naira balance). Do you know if my stats are ok? I also have no direct family member in Canada, except two cousins who are also students. What do you think I can use as my home ties? And what are my chances of approval?

Hello,

Congrats on your admission.

To be honest with you, these days it's more difficult to get approvals when your sponsor is not a parent. Why will an Uncle spend N12m on your education? Does he not have children and dependants? These are the questions the Visa Officer will ask?

My best bet, since you have 6m. you can co-sponsor yourself. Let your uncle be a co-sponsor. Also, you have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he's actually your uncle since he has a different surname.

Remember you only have to show proof that you have enough money to take care of your first year in school plus CAD10,000 for living expenses.

Good luck.

I hail all the Gurus in the house, I'm new to Nairaland and I must say this thread has been of immense help to me. Read thru a lot of the info you guys have put out and it has put strong confidence in my heart to apply for the canadian study Visa by myself. God bless you all.

I have a question to ask please and I have not seen anyone talk extensively about it.

I have a personal business which I run with my husband, got admission to study at Saskpoly, have every required doc but the only issue is that I don't have tax certificate for my business and this business is my sponsor and tie back home. Can I go ahead to submit all the other documents without it, can it be waived by any means?

Please help urgently!

Hi. The issue of Company sponsorship has been extensively discussed on this thread. Search for Just.wise contributions on this thread. I am in a somewhat similar position with you.
What I have learnt here is that company sponsorship is shaky as most times the VO don’t look favorably on it, believing that an Applicant may not have access to the company’s finances.
Thus rather than using the company as a sponsor, what you need is to use the company as a source of your income.
1.Use your personal account.Transfer money from your business account into your personal account. Make sure you highlight this in your explanation that the money came from your business and you have earmarked it for your school.
2. Submit any other proof of the business e.g CAC documents including particulars of directors if you or your husband. Account statement of the business, invoices or transactions done by the business. Audit reports of the value of the business. Whatever documents you have to show that you are operating a real business
3. VERY IMPORTANT: get a letter from your bank stating that you are a signatory to the company account. This is the main concern of the VO.

Pls before I start this process, do anyone have an idea of estimated amount of the whole process of a study visa. Pls I want to know if I can handle it before starting. A mother and 2 kids, but kids not going with her now.

Thank u. I will appreciate.

The main thing is do you have funds to actually pay your tuition? Canadian tuition can range from 6,000 CAD to ad high as 20,000 CAD per session. Once that amount is available the rest is small change.
But these are the costs you plan for:
1. Application fees to the schools. Most schools application fee is between 50 CAD and 150 CAD. Budget to apply to between 3 to 5 schools.
2.Medical fees: medical fees is about 45k.
3. Biometrics: Not sure how much this is now.
4. Visa Application fee: 150 CAD

Hello everyone, I'm planning on making my application for study permit soon...wish me well.

But here's the thing, my proof of financial statement is about 40 mega bytes alone and the minimum required is 4 mb. Please has anyone had to achieve such feat...I mean in terms of compressing the file.

Your response will help me a lot. Cos I feel like it's too bulky.

Honestly if you've not started yet I'll advice that you just do PR package instead of Student. With my experience, you might have to apply like thrice. Meanwhile the PR is a lifetime opportunity

sad Because my SOP stated I wanted to come back to Nigeria after studies, which they didn't want.
But the truth is once they're not giving you they can give unexpected reasons
I'm still in Nigeria, expecting feedback post-covid
But the PR thing is just better I presume

I'm still here actually

Hello,
There is no estimated amount for the whole process of a Canada Study Visa Application, cos Applications of Applicants for Canada Study Visa differs & varies alot..

Documents that an Applicant ( married , have kids) will show will surely be different from the Documents a Single Applicant will show (though there might be similarities), which will eventually bring about a difference in amount of the whole Canada Study Visa process.

There are some documents you have and there are some u will need to get e.g Police Clearance Certificate, Affidavit of Support (if u are being sponsored ) etc.

All you will do is to take a list of all the necessary docs. which relates u (the ones u have and the ones u gonna use money to get)

LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR CANADA STUDY VISA APPLICATION

If its about the Submission of Canada Study Visa online , its $235 CAD (about 68k to 73K), and that price do fluctuate cos of the Nigerian Exchange Rate to Canadian Dollar & otherwise

Hello lovely people, I've got a quick question concerning Proof of Funds using the Gift Deed from ones parent. Is it acceptable for Study Permit application? If yes, would the Bank Statement of the provider(Parent) be required? I would like to have a combined personal account and a lump sum coming from the Deed of Gift. Please, your wonderful piece of advice would be appreciated.

U can give ilovepdf compressing a shot
https://www.ilovepdf.com/compress_pdf

And if ilovepdf compress didn't show any significant file size reduction with legible contents in ur Documents, Follow this trick..... I used it and it worked perfectly..

Trick to Compressing our document(Courtesy @Nonso16)
Go to google search for PrimoPDF, download it...

Install and close it.

Open your document, Hold "Ctrl + P" like you want to print,

It will take you to another interface where you will be able to select your printing options,

Now Select Printer and you will see a drop-down menu, Now Select PrimoPDF and Click on Print.

Wait for the progress bar to be done, Mind you it's not printing but trying to interface with the PrimoPDF software,

When that's done, the PrimoPDF software will Popup and You will click on CREATE PDF, it will ask you to save it. FINISH .

Locate where u saved the document (i.e the Directory), check the Property of the file, u will discover the size of the file has reduced to a very reasonable extent

That's the magic ...

NOTE: The picture Quality might reduce a little but will still be visible
