Help embarassed

Gaspet:
I need help, fam.

The passport expiry date on my ATAS Certificate is incorrect. Instead of 2024, it says 2021.
Would this affect my visa application process?

I've mailed ATAS, But they've not responded for more than a week now.

First of all I have no idea how it's £2975 since I made a deposit of 3K secondly who have also gone through this issue? Would this have any effect on my Visa application? Thirdly, how do I over come this if there is a way? Because clearly I think this is an issue in the fluctuation of the exchange rate with no one at fault.

This is a serious matter o. Have you contacted the school? It means you will have to make an additional payment of like 500 pounds Sterling

Had similar experience with Keele University. The uni. Requires to see your bank statement of account and other documents (academic) before they issue CAS for you. Thereafter, they will send you a sample CAS for you to check if there is any mistake, after which your main CAS will be issued. Likely interview questions you will be asked during your visa interview will be sent to you as well. Hope this make sense?

Please what's the best factor to work out £1 exchange to naira in case there's a flutuation in £ when putting maintenance funds for 30days. Is £500 to 1£ ok?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by naledis(f): 9:16pm On Jun 29, 2020
The Home Office and universities use Oanda for exchange rate conversion. Within the last 30 days (I stand to be corrected) the rate has gone as high as N491. N500 may be a safe mark but no one can accurately say. I used N509 as my safe mark.

Transfer charges most likely deducted somewhere by one of the banks along the chain.
The missing 25 quid won't have any effect on your visa application. All you are required to do is to show that you have the rest of the school fees available to you.

Your university may ask to see your 28-day bank statement to be sure you meet the financial requirements of the Home Office. You may also be asked questions similar to what you will be asked during your visa credibility interview.

I’ve answered based on my experience with my university. It was called a visa preparation session and it was one of the conditions I had to meet before issuance of CAS. The country rep of my university sent me sample questions

I'm going to a school that is outside London which means my Maintenance fund should be £9,135 but I'm actually working on having £10,000 in my account based on the current exchange rate. I hope this helps

result came out approximately 30mins after the test.

Call to book an appointment, make payment, fill an online form and present yourself on the appointment date for the test with your passport and proof of payment, you have like 3 stations to confirm this

Ok thanks. I’ve two friends who started their masters course this January and to graduate January 2021, do you think they’ll be eligible for the 2years work visa?

Hello All.

I am new to this thread. I have decided to apply to UK schools for my grad studies.

Before I go back and start reading all the posts in the thread, please can you answer one question for me. I've googled it and I'm still confused.

Do I need to write an English Test (IELTS, TOEFL, etc) for the UK Tier 4 Student Visa?

Thanks
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 4 by Gaspet: 11:34pm On Jun 29, 2020
It depends on the school you're applying to, but it's best you take the IELTS to be on the safe side. I hear all UK schools will soon require an English test pretty soon (not sure how true this is though)

If you have waec or neco with at least C6 in English, it's equivalent to IELTS

Great Morning to you All,

Saw the below on TLS website as documents to be brought to the center

• A printed copy of your appointment confirmation email;
• A printed receipt of payment for any Added Value Services (if applicable);
• A valid passport or travel document and residence permit (both original and copy) in A4 format (if applicable);
• Any supporting documents which you intend to supply (as well as copies of all originals in A4 format);
• The first page of your Visa Application Form;

Please I don't get the residence permit aspect. Does this refer to National ID or LASRAA.

Thank you

Here are some of the questions you should expect. Note that some questions may be dependent on what information that you include on your application and your travel history.

- Name, Date of birth, Nationality.
- Where will you be studying?
- Course and resumption/end dates.
- How long is your course for?
- Why did you choose your school?
- Did you apply to other schools? (If yes, pls state the other schools and courses and say why you chose your current school over them)
- Why did you choose your course? (No generic answers pls. Have a clear, explainable positive impact that the course will give you. You can tie it to your personal and professional goals.)
-Why did you choose the UK? (Pls do not give a generic answer. Make your answers as personal as possible)
- Where do you plan to stay in UK? (If it's off campus, you can mention some of the options you've seen online and are considering. If it's on campus and your room hasn't been assigned, say so)
- How will you get from your accommodation to the university? (Know the best kinda transportation for you, know what it costs per month and for the year)
- Do you have any friends or family living in UK? (Yes with a brief explanation. No doesn't need an explanation)
- How much is the accommodation? (GBP xxxx PCM (Per Calendar Month) inclusive of bills)
- Have you paid for the accommodation? (No or yes with a brief explanation of your accommodation option to show that you've done your homework)
- How are you paying your fees? (Self funded, Sponsored by family (Parents), Home Govt, International Company/Organization)
- Why is XXXx sponsoring you? (Govt, international organization/Company) You can briefly mention how you heard about the sponsorship and your application process / What's your relationship with your sponsor (Parents)?
- What are your plans after this course?
- What type of salary do you expect you can earn after completing your studies? (You can give a ballpark figure if you are not 100% sure)

It should if the rate doesn't go higher than it currently is. If you have extra cash, you can top it up just in case.
