A starting point is for a clamour for a connecting bridge\s to the island\s.....Not only in Akwa Ibom State but others too, I know Lagos have some too eg Sagbokoji etc. State governments should see how they can build these bridges to make those islands accessible and an income generating venture via tourism. These Akwa Ibom islands might even have oil if government check well.....Question: Any affordable hostel, hotel there? Who organizes people for trips there? Can one just book the lodges and arrive there?
Firstly is a rural settlement that is why we are calling for investors...
Secondly if you get to Ibeno that trip.will be arrange .
Thirdly no hotels but you can build a campsite ok

Let me ask what is the difference btw the longest shoreline and the longest coastline?
And why is wikipedia not captured ondo as the longest ?[/quo
Bro you don't need to argue with any body to prove a point. Akwa Ibom is blessed in all ramification. The coastal and shore lines of Akwa has no comparable with any coastal states in Nigeria.

No safety for women yet..... Anyway, this is a massive project and all stakeholders including the State government, Akwa Ibomites + others should make this dream come true.

I am from Okourutip. The ancestral home of Ibeno people. What @Hunchogee said about Ibeno LGA is the truth. There are many untapped resources in Ibeno. I remember years back I was 20yrs old then and I went for holiday to my Village and I decided to visit my Uncle staying in one of the Islands known as Utana Iwoekpom. They use most of the Islands as fishing settlements. As we were approaching this Island through the creeks from a very far distance on our speed boat I was hearing loud noises like that of an aeroplane and I asked if we were going to the airport. They laughed at me and answered, "No". When we finally got there, it was the waves from the Atlantic ocean rising as high as two palm trees and hitting the shores of the Island. In my mind , I said this place will be good for surfing. I spent one lovely unforgettable week on that Island. The whole place is neglected. There are many foreigners there, many of them use the place as routes to countries like Gabon, Cameroun, Equatorial Guinea etc.
God will continue to bless Akwa Ibom state.

These places have better potentials than Banana and Victoria
FIrst of all, Akwa Ibom and Cross Riverian ladies are far more beautiful than Yoruba ladies. Their presence will help beautify the scenery.

Akwa Ibom and Cross River state are far calmer which makes for a far less chaotic area, ideal for such holiday spots.

The market will be there as it will be heavily patronised by local Akwa Ibomites and Cross Riverians, as well as people from Rivers, Bayelsa, Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Delta and Ebonyi states grin grin grin

International visitors will also prefer it because of the calmer less chaotic pace of life there
Yoruba ladies are women of honor and prestige, they value education and business while the women from those states you mentioned up there can be found in all the Brothels in Yoruba land cheesy charging #500- #1000 to carry out their prostitution business.

I can take you back to Ilorin Cus I graduated from one of the schools there... Places like UNITY/COCA COLA ROAD, BROADWAY, TANKE UNIVERSITY ROAD is oloshi base for Igbo girls and calabar girls.

I pray you don't find your blood sister among them sha.

Hahahahaha cheesy cheesy
I laugh in Afonja

Yoruba women don't measure up that's why they do their prostitution behind waste dumps and brown roof motels.

Even as of today, Igbo women trump Yoruba women in education and every noble endeavour. People like Oby Ezekwesili, Okonjo-Iweala, Arunmah Oteh come to mind, while the certificate forging Yoruba olosho of a minister Kemi Adeosun pops to my mind when I think of Yoruba lady achievers.
