Oga boss, ur perception of rudeness trip me o. Firstly, I asked that question here because I saw car documents here on NL and many others would have seen same. Secondly, I thanked both Frank and Dom that responded to my enquiry. The person I responded to in the post u quoted was countering Dom's advice to me instead of answering me directly and I didn't like that. When things aren't facts, it should be explained as personal opinions. Plenty gurus has suggested using church, community and cooperative positions as home tie. I personally don't think that is good enough because which of those positions can't be forfeited? But I've never talked down on anybody's suggestions, not just cos I'm new but cos it's rude to do so. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. When someone asks a question, answer them directly first before you attack others that kindly addressed their concerns. I have never commanded anybody to answer my questions. I request because I know that its free advice. I have also answered a few here for free too. So if you don't like my name or how I sound, u can kindly ignore my questions if I ask again.. The last thing I'll want associated with this journey is bad vibe. People do this on their own without coming to NL so u see that it's God that makes all the difference. Have a good evening. oma22:
A car is an asset, but what we call a depreciating asset! If you spend 2 or 3 years in Canada the car u left in Nigeria has depreciated in value by a substantial amount, so it’s that enough to bring you home? Absolutely no! Sometimes google can answer the questions you people come here to ignorantly argue about. And the fact you came here to ask people’s opinions, you should not be rude when they give u answers you don’t want to hear. Nobody is paying anyone for information here, we are all giving it freely. Insanity:
In my experience with admission application especially for thesis programs, even when it is not compulsory to get a supervisor prior to application or admission, I won't apply to that program If I don't get a positive response from a supervisor. Remember, this is just my opinion. All the thesis programs I applied to with no positive response from a potential supervisor, even when the school website states categorically that it is not mandatory, I received a rejection mail.
You can try your luck, If you have a strong profile with research experience, that is published research in journals. OR maybe I am wrong and the school is making it mandatory for potential students not to get a supervisor for a PhD program. All the best. You are right. Thank you for your response |

Didijide: Frank thanks for the great work you are doing here.God bless you and happy new month. Please my sponsor's BS is 1400 pages, told him about mybank statement but he didn't bother. Please how do i go about uploading 1400 pages of BS when applying for the visa online. I'm really waiting for your reply. Thank you! Please do you mean 140 pages or 1,400 pages??. 1,400 pages is too much to be compressed to 4MB. I would suggest you request for the electronic copy of the statements from your sponsor's bank. Alternatively, print only the 3 months history of your Sponsor's statement, skip some pages and only upload pages with huge financial record. It will end in praise |

With due respect Sir, I'm not announcing my achievements neither am I feeling superior to others because I'm in position of somewhat wealth of knowledge about the Canadian visa process. Please be advised that all the informations I have until this present time on several immigration programs/pathways to Canada were gotten from the experiences I have enjoyed overtime on this platform and my involvement in other reputable windows. I think you might have a wrong perspective towards my tone of responses as I was merely trying to convey my first-hand experiences on some of the applications I have practically involved myself within and outside of this thread. Pee2Jay9: @Frankrobbn1, anybody else, pls address this - what can be a valid reason for submitting car documents? Will stating that land and house will be leased by counter productive?
Submitting a car documents is cool, it can still help serve as home ties and if I would advice don’t just submit the car documents if possible let the VO know that you might even be leasing the car out while you away just to serve as addition stream of income. By doing this the VO won’t feel you would end up just saleing of the car on reaching Canada. Also saying you leasing out a land and housing is also a cool idea but I would advice don’t just state it, prove it ( meaning you should show like a tenancy agreement between you and whoever you leasing it to. A lawyer can help you draft one or you tender a receipt showing proof of payment for the said property you leasing out) this would also serve as additional stream of income for you showing the VO you well established back home and you won’t want to be leaving all this multiple income streams behind My little 2cent. hope it helps. Wishing you all the best on your quest for a study permit. 1 Like |

Good evening house, Please I have a few questions.
Hubby got an offer to Centenniel college Ontario for mechanical engineering this sept for fall. We paid the initial deposit of 2650 Cad to secure the addmission letter. To my amazement, we were asked to pay full payment for 1st semester before July. 6th as late payment may lead to withdrawal of admission. Letter was gotten on the 30th of June and I feel the notice is too short.
2. We sent a mail to canadian embassy in Lagos to find out the possiblity of travelling this sept and they said they can't answer the. question but for now till further notice, only people who have exemptions can travail to Canada.
3. The question is, should we make the full payment or wait? The clause of if payment is not made before July 6 is on. the offer letter and am thinking it may lead to outright refusal if VO see that payment was not made before the due date.
The money is not on ground, will have to hussle to get it.
4. Also, I know it's likely schools start with online classes by sept till December and because off the time difference does it make sense or one should just defer admission to Jan 2021.
5.We have not gotten all documents needed for the application, am thinking the time to apply for study permit for this fall is short.
I will appreciate quick responses. |

dommakavelli: I think you should include your shares certificate. If you have a fairly good statement of account, include it too. It does not have to show your salary. People can have 3 accounts. You don't have to include a payslip. Get your employer to write you a letter of study leave. In the letter, make sure to include leave period, your position, salary, contact info of the person that would sign the letter, and that your position would be available upon your return. Then link everything to your economic stability to your home country, under the home tie. In my opinion, people often get rejected for home ties because of the economic motive to remain in Canada. VO would weigh your economic ties such as current and future job prospects and financial stability in Nigeria to assess this. You should include your siblings' birth certificates too for family ties. I've been advocating for Net worth assessment on this thread as well. You might want to consider it.
Good luck
Thank you sir. I don’t have account with a fairy large sum also should I include the shares owned by me under POF or client information to show home ties ? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by dommakavelli: 12:59am On Jul 02, 2020 |

I will appreciate quick responses. Hello, I got almost same scenario in another College in Ontario. After seeing the time frame and travel restrictions, I emailed my admission office to please defer my admission to Winter 2021 but I did not pay the acceptance which came out successfully. I'd advise you to defer your admission to Winter 2021, your initial acceptance fee won't be lost rather it will be transfered to the new semester. But don't state that time frame and money are the reasons for deferring. This will buy you enough time to prepare and apply for study permit and hopefully by then international students can arrive and isolate. Success 1 Like |
