You are not an honest person. There is no need arguing with you. Was he MD for 26yrs or 2yrs. You climb up the ladder and the value of pay 26yrs ago is a big joke. They were paying people 5,000 naira a month. With inflation that money from 26yrs ago is worthless
See this is common sense, Ajimobi is rich as fvck, declared what he has now in 2011 when he was a private citizen, yet you claim he lied and predicted ownership of a house 6 years prior is he Nostradamus?

Okay is it logical to you that

*Every house Ajimobi claimed to own before being a Governor, with exact address remains intact even after retirement from politics?

* How can a Private Citizen loot from government to buy a house when he wasn't even elected in 2007 and was a jobless ritered oil and gas worker?

Asset declaration in Nigeria is also a mess. Anything you write is what dey believe.

The only thing dey verify is your BVN linked bank accounts.

You can claim you own assets you don't actually own.

As an example, see the voltron above spelling expatriate as expertrate and floored as flawed, amongst numerous other blunders in his comments. Yet, he is vehemently defending someone whose kids went to the best schools overseas and got the best education. That is the Nigeria we live in.
But my joy is that people are now asking questions.
A time is coming when all these politicians will have no where to hide.
People are waking up small small.

Oh boy see money! How can we be sure he is worth this much? Abi did he 'amplify' his net worth with the aim of 'filling in the blanks' during his tenure as governor?
Mehn, sense will not kee you. After all na naija we dey grin grin

Uncle, we are talking about high priced houses in the UK and US denominated in foreign currencies, in addition to numerous ones in Nigeria, in addition to N292.4M, you are talking about houses in 3 states (I presume in Nigeria) - this your comparison clearly holds no water. Comparing houses in Nigeria to overseas. Please.
Ma’am, I’m in my mid-30s and not a very high ranking person in the industry. God willing, by the time I rise to become CEO like Ajimobi, retire to start 2 companies and serve as one time senator (Ajimobi’s profile as at the time he declared this in 2011), I will have these o.

I have many Ogas that have up to 7 houses with at least one in the UK or US. And they are not even GMs yet not to talk of CEO.

Mentioned that case just to look at the trajectory.

Lol...It's a pattern. It's either they blindly defend religions and tribes or football clubs and celebrities. They don't do this because they seek betterment for their polity, they do it to show off what crumbs of knowledge they have. This is why you can hardly get them to take an action step towards rooting out the bad eggs.

You are the one who attempted the comparisons here. I am simply questioning the claims made is all.
You can’t ignore trend/trajectory which is the message in the comparison.

This news was from 2011 before he became governor. So what exactly is the issue?

Please, you are not comparing apples with apples. I understand you being aspirational, that's good BUT the precise example you gave of 5 houses in 3 states in Nigeria compared to 1.5m usd house in US, £450k UK plus N252m in the bank is far from being a valid comparison.

I know someone who was a huge oil company director in the US but can’t afford to buy a house in Lekki in Nigeria till he moved to Nigeria and became MD. Even then he’s paying the house off slowly. Please some of us actually know executives in the oil industry. He’s by far your senior and a bonafied oil executive.

He declared the house in 2011 and bought it in 2016. Where did you match the address? US puts their deed information online. It’s there to see. He bought the house in 2016 which violated federal law and by that act the house belongs to Oyo state.

Available fact shows he stated it in his asset declaration form he made public, not one publication proves otherwise, show us anywhere any us website states change of deed of sale in 2016

The issue is not whether you have got what you posted/listed but can you prove that you got them through honest, legit means? Na the koko be that.

Jarus:
I have only worked in the oil and gas industry as an employee for 12 years and only became a manager recently, and my company is not one of the top 15 oil companies in Nigeria.

If I get government position today, I have 5 houses (in 3 states) to declare. I'm still in my 30s. It may have reached 7 by 40 (Allah willing).

Guys, this is possible for someone who rose to become CEO of an oil company. And he made this declaration in his 60s.

So because you worked for Shell or whatever oil company for 26 years, you should be a multi-millionaire in dollars and a billionaire in naira? Were you a mere emploee or a part-owner/entrepreneur? How much were his salaries and benefits all through his 26 years as an EMPLOYEE? How much did he spend campaigning for the senate, the previous failed attempts to be governor, and the eventually successful campaign? If he is still a billionaire after all these money gulping campaigns, that means he must have been worth tens of billionns before entering politics? All earned through 'dint of hardwork'. . .as an employee?

A lot doesn't add up here. I always marvel at how Nigerians (especially ignorant females) tend to justify questionable wealth with silly rationalizations: 'oh he is a top bank manager' (does that explain how come he owns a N300m house in VGC?); 'oh he works in NNPC' (is that enough for him to have 4 kids in foreign universities, and a house in Maitama?). It is only in Nigeria that someone retires as an employee with whatever company or government agency and is suddenly worth billions. How? Did the company allocate substantial shares to him (like is the case with CEOs of Fortune 500 corporations)? This country is just a huge joke. . .corruption is the very life blood of the nation, and almost everybody is involved - directly or indirectly.
You should have put your last paragraph in upper case Sir. Nigeria and Corruption are inseparable. When you're tired you abandon it ooo.
