I don't think there's market to sell +20bags at a go like in other states. I'd favour Uyo market instead. And the prices are usually poor, too. 3500 at its peak and 2000 at glut.
The light green with white ones it is the post common ones sold in Eket. Though the dark green is gaining ground quick.

You can sell 20+ bags in Uyo. But a lot of individuals and groups are doing cukes, so get prepared to compete! But farming land is scarce here

Some people can vouch for the efficacy of that stuff, even big time farmers , I have not used it before so I just listen and learn, there are homemade DIY surfucants available, maybe one day I will try it

Someone told me, he planted seed all of it germinated but after 7 days some of them will just cut or die off.

direct sowing is best,if you transplant especially in the dry hot season the mortality rate can hit 50% or more,even the survivors will not grow for at least one week because of shock,the cause of that cutting is caterpillars,they hid in small holes during the day to aviod birds and other predators,but come out at night to feed on the young leafs ,spray sharp shooter ,caterpillar force or any good insecticide on the crop to stop such.

Thanks for your response. The reason I asked is cause I'm not actually the one going into the farming. I'm only partnering with a friend who is already into cucumber farming. I knew about the cucumber farm he has before I stumbled on this thread and had to go back to him for more information. As for funding, that won't be a problem. The land is mine . Instead of allowing it to waste, I decided to do the deal with him. Hence my asking what my outcome in terms of profit will look like .

For crops, it is good since it makes pesticides more effective. But for animals? I doubt it.

that ridomil gold is far better than zforce,it is both contact and systemic actions,while zforce is only contact.why we use zforce is due to availability of ridomil around our axis.

Many farmers has planted cucumbers,applied manure and fertilizer but still the crops will still have yellowish older leafs, obviously it cannot be foliar disease and the only culprit is nuritent deficiency but which one,so we used the planting app and the results came in magnesium and potassium deficiency are the two culprits.

To solve this problem plantic recommended inorganic fertilizer that will contain calcium, magnesium and potassium,but let us tell yourselves the truth is it possible for a local farmer to get such materials,even the common NPK 201010 in the market is fake moulded clay,let's look at the second organic option which is wood Ash, interestingly this common overlooked material has all three elements and more,it will be a perfect substitute for costly fertilizers

If you look at the nutrients chart you will agree with me that wood Ash will be beneficial to a heavy feeder like cucumbers,we have already mixed wood Ash from a nearby oil mill into the manure we will apply tomorrow on our crops and see what will happen

we are still even trying to learn how to use that,but what we noticed is that if you sprinklevon cucumber leafs it will burn it,so soil application is the only way.

lovely. we've used wood ash (gotten from a bakery) on a cucumber farm and got a good result. the only downside is that it raise the soil pH. need to be carefully used
