Please pay attention to what I am about to say. It may not appeal to your moral sentiments but you can conclude what you like.

What you see on social media is no true reflection of reality. Nonetheless, my sister's and brothers, strive to be the best. Struggle to achieve the best things in life, even if it's not for you, do it for your children.

A part of me blames hushpuppy but then again he is a product of a broken society. A society which is a den of all forms of corruption, from the top echlon to last sector of our community. If you doubt my submission, pick up any national daily newspaper if you will not see a familiar face who has been accused of scam/corruption but roaming freely with a wild beam of smiles.

Whatever crimes hushpuppy or Invictus obi committed were not necessarily done on Nigerian soil. There associates too would definitely not be only Nigerians but whites and Arabs. Let's move on with our lives and take back Nigeria ... That should be the real struggle and not digging puppy's insta

Meanwhile, something to laugh at below
Stop justifying crime and seeing it as an excuse for your mental laziness. Crime denies Nigeria millions in revenue daily.A lot of Indians, filipinos and Pakistani are working outsourced customer care jobs from US companies and making more than $3,000(above a million naira monthly) but the mental laziness of our youths would allow them to see only crime, damage the image of the country and end up blaming politicians and other tribes. .smh

Not that most Nigerian internet scammers are not well read or smart enough the fact is that every con MUST leave a trace. I have watched movies about con artists and read books about them. Hushpuppi was just not smart enough for making so much noise online and living fake life.

Few stupid boys keep saying Hushpuppy is still better than 90% of Nigerians.

Only an unexposed idiot will reason that way.

Watch a documentary on US maximum prisons and see how notorious criminals are kept.

There are things humanbeings should not imagine.

There's always an irresistible urge to flaunt and misbehave; inherent of sudden wealth, especially when it's stolen.
When your wealth builds gradually and it's moderately proportional to your effort, there won't be any reason to brag or misbehave. But if you start getting sudden huge incomes, far more than your age, especially when you didn't deserve it or sweat for it. The feeling is always overwhelming and there is likelihood of you misbehaving. That's the reason why scammers flaunt their wealth. The urge is irresistible, except for the wise ones who control their emotions and learn to lie low.
During the course of flaunting, especially persistent flaunting, they expose themselves and leave behind trails of their criminal activities.

Do you still remember Dan Owolo of Covenant University?
I mean this shiit always repeat itself over and over and over. Perhaps a regular staff who earned around N100k.
Suddenly, he started getting over N10m with no extra effort. Why didn't he lie low? The feeling and urge is always overwhelmingly. It's extremely euphoric, you only come back to your senses after casting yourself.

If you've always had under N100k in your account, but suddenly you hit a mysterious 'jackpot' of N1m this evening. I can assure you that later in the evening when you come to NL to post or comment, the anatomy of your post would be quiet different. You suddenly start talking like a god. There is a sudden shoot in your hormones, it's a high, it's overwhelmingly. Only people with self-control can handle it.
Ironically, the thrill is even multiplied when you got the 'jackpot' in a dirty-smart way. You feel like James Bond.

Another reason is, scammers in the days when they were still small scammers or when they were still legit, they freely drop their details, because at that time, no one is really tracking their asses. Later when they become big scammers, they forget to erase all their trails they left years ago. It might even be impossible to remember everywhere you've dropped your trails.
Take Invictus for example. When he was still a small legit guy on NL, he dropped his email freely here. Later in life, he became something else and used same email for his fraudulent activities.
This shiit happens to everyone on Social Media. Most Social Media users have trails online.
That poor legit boy dropping his number/email freely on Social Media today, because no one is after him yet, might still use the same email to cast himself years to come.

The truth is when it comes to the internet, you can't totally erase all your footprints no matter how careful you are because you are not going to have access to all the servers and routers that interconect to serve you. Just stay legit and so No to crime.

At least a good number of people on this thread have broken it down easily for anyone sane to comprehend just in case you want to jump on the "Hushpuppi was loud" train.

You can't be quiet. You can never be. Money will push you. You will unknowingly have friends that will advertise you. The case of Efe Martic (Hushpuppi called him Neighbour), Woodberry. It is lowkey reported that Woodberry had more funds than Hush.

Money dey push o

But in the end, our leaders have our balls in their hands and no, we are still cowards to look in that direction.

See. If you make money as a Nigerian after hustling all your life, it is still not enough to save your family after you are gone. The system in Nigeria is ready to 'rubbish' your sweat even if it is legit.

Wonder why the Politicians and the Wealthy people with big businesses continously push for more money even when it seems like they have enough? They know how it works in this part of the world.

The whites can comfortably donate a huge part of their life savings to Charity because of their country's standard of living, at least they don't live like savages like we do here. The ones who end up wayward probably got lost in Gambling, Drugs.

Until we stand up against our real oppressors, we will continue to deserve what we get. Nigeria is modern day's ANIMAL FARM and it is so obvious. Hustle non stop with little to show for.

Peace, someday.
Forgive me my child if I ever fail you, but till then.
my brother no be lie o, the way money quickly spent in this country na wa, growing up i thought if one day i be come a government (salary earner) worker, my pay will be enough, eventually i got it but the pay quick to fly away and i never marry o. But still let not do crime.

Do not be surprised if this comes up in the FBI documentation about his life and arrest. Case was similar for Invictus Obi. What we can take home from this are the same old words we've been feed for many generations.
1. Patience is key and in-exchangeable.
2. Crime does not pay. Karma will always catch up with you.
3. The sleep of a 'labourer' is sweeter and better than that of a rich man 'thief'.
4. There's nothing new/hidden under the sun.

Avoid unnecessary show of is the main take home from this....because weda u like it or not, there are fraudsters way more wealthier than hushpuppy. Not talking about politicians, i mean regular guys like i and you. Maybe if he wasn't showing off he would have also made it to Forbes list atlest b4 he was caught. grin Do u remember years bk when guys washed their Rolex watches and the likes with champagne and you see it everywhere on IG ?? Why are we not seeing such clips again?? The guy used his hands and brought himself down. U know say u no legit, u dey show off. Dude even had beefs with artists who made it to the top via struggle and legit hard work. He's done for life, cos even when he's out of jail, I doubt anyone will want to associate with him or anybody with any sort of connection to him.
