I noticed that when James came on yesterday, he did not hug the touch line, baba was driving infield with the ball.

Yea I noticed that too. He was quite impressive with the ball. Didn't need lots of spaces to run. Is he learning a thing or two in training? I hope so

Yes, he is definitely learning. His penchant to hug the touch line in the first half of the season meant we had one less body in and around the box and it didn't leave any space for Wan-Bissaka or Shaw to overlap (I really don't know if this is what hampered AWB attacking foray or if he has improved his attacking play now)...

As an aside, I expect Martial and Rashford to get a lot more space to do damage with Greenwood's form as they will be at least 2 players on Greenwood going forward...

I noticed that AWB will hardly play a high cross. Always want to get to the byline and put in a low cross. Same with Shaw. Maybe it's because they can't put in a threatening high cross (not sure about this), or cross from deep like their counterparts in LFC. Those ones can cross from anywhere. I believe with more deliberate work on their crossing and movements, they will get better. They also need a consistent player in front of them that they can understand and form bond with

Yesterday's game revealed we have quite a number of highly intelligent players in this team. Mata, Bruno, Pogba, Matic, Martial, Greenwood and Rashford are players capable of creating something out of nothing in a the game be it creating assists or scoring goals. What they need is to work harder individually and as a team and we will see the United of Old!

Except we have a Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a forward, Rashford or Martial don't have that jump..

Nope.....AWB and Shaw understand the type of attackers we have ( Rashford and Martial)

They are not the best in the air, they prefer the low cross and I believe they all train together at Carrington to perfect the execution ( judging by the amount of goals scored/chance created recently from the low cross)

We don't have Zlatan, Chicharito or Lukaku as our 9..

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that Thiago Alcantara wants to leave and they don't want to lose him for free next year. I think we'd be looking at him as an option if he's injury free.

No, he wasn't at fault. As GloryIsaac rightly pointed out, it's 95% on Maguire and 5% on De Gea.

DDG 5%?

If he covered his near post, no way the ball will go in. It is 50/50 fault

Thiago used to be a very fine player. Haven't seen much of him recently. If he's still as excellent as before, we should get him. Lingard, Perreira and Mata spaces are still there to be filled

He's still a fine player and will be a massive upgrade on those duds you listed and we need to bolster our midfield first before flinging away those duds. The only aspect of him that we'd look into is his injury history. If he's not easily injured, he can come cheap since Bayern wouldn't want him to leave for free. Liverpool are intrested in him despite their midfield options, that shouldn't deter us if he passes the criteria we want of him.

I was also surprised when I saw DDG 5%....

The error started from AWB, he stayed on the floor allowing his man so much time (the goal scorer) to retrieve the ball ....

Maguire was well beaten and I can't blame him because any touch there is straight PK and card......

De gea bleeped up, he didn't cover his near post... DDG performance is just going down day by day

Hmmmm

He was meant to be Paul Scholes replacement 8 years ago....

I really like the way Ole removed Greenwood early yesterday. He is doing all he can to nurture the guy carefully and protect him from the media and hype.
Imagine the pressure and distractions that would start with a Greenwood hat-trick. He should continue killing therm softly under the radar until next season when hopefully he would be more mature emotionally and psychologically to handle all the hype.

Please what did you expect DDG to do?! Do you really think if he covered the Pole well, he would have saved the Goal?! Except that Dude is a Dud, no way he's gonna miss that golden opportunity he earned and served to him by Maguire.

Let me ask you simple Question. Let's assumed it's Rashford in that Position and he missed the Goal, perhaps due to Keeper's Brilliance. Would you cut him some Slack? Wouldn't you suggest he should have hanged the Ball or do something else?!

Fault rests with Maguire. He lost his Man disgracefully.

..... Was thinking of Januzaj last Night. How Moyes destroyed his Career. The Dude was handed Everything by Moyes. Freekicks, Corner Kicks, even if possible Goal kicks and Throw-ins.

I applauded that sub. One from Fergie's books...

I remember when Fergie scolded Welbeck for that Cantona celebration he pulled...

Moyes no get sense na. I have seen Greenwood score long range free kicks with both right and left foot but he will need to beg really hard before Pogba, Bruno and co allow him to start taking them.

Maybe a loan. Ole won’t splash the cash on a 29 yr-old with an injury history.

Even the loan move will probably be a no-no. Gone are those days.

Thank you. If it was our attacker that missed will they say the keeper tried?
Or will they say he should not try because the keeper will cover his near post.

De Gea dey bleep up but keeper sef dey concede too.

Exactly. I've watched his Clips. He's a good Freekicks Taker. He can score from any Angle(s), yet he has never deemed fit for the Responsibility.

Had it been Moyes, Greenwood would have become a Star in the Night.

Exactly. Giggs had a similar experience. Step by step until their in game and life maturity matches their level of talent.
