thenaijacoder: This is the reason why I target European remote jobs, this time zone thing can be wild. Btw your pay is verrrryyyyy low, you are being exploited, even if you are a beginner you should be earning double of your current pay. Most of the folks I know earn 2k dollars upwards. 19 Likes |

thenaijacoder: Jez! How could you say you are ok with $200 per month?? Guy you are being ripped apart. The smallest you should bargain for is $1500 per month. $200 a month or do you mean to say a week? |

LIES. Just say that it doesn't work for you. Don't come with blanket condemnation. For some of coffee is the best beverage ever discovered by man. That said , as a developer who has never had the joy of a remote gig . I'm seriously upping my game bcoz one of my targets this year is that b4 it ends I'll be making at least 20% of income from remote jobs. Coder2Client: 1 Like |

flexyrule: for an ex MD like Alex Otti to highhandedly have the financial muscle to contest in Abia elections is not beans, Alex Otti's house in his hometown is like a f#kcing resort with helipad and all that shiiiiiiii. Bank MDs earn in the region of between at least 5m - 24m per month. they stay in the choicest parts of Lagos. even microfinance bank MDs earn more than the pittance he described there. mortgage bank MDs earn about 5-7m per month aside from the juicy stuff like estate projects they do. 3 Likes |

thenaijacoder:$500 is poor, but considering the present economic realities in the country, i think it is managable. Just get the experience, improve your CV and move when a better offer comes. Since the lockdown my sleep pattern changed, i am always up from 8pm to 4am and sometimes 5.00am. Then i sleep from then till 1pm. All i will advice you is adjust your sleep pattern and ensure to sleep minimum 7 hours a day for your organs sake. 1 Like 1 Share |

You should be able to earn much more than that. I think you should subtly ask for a raise. If you are a valued member of the team, I'm sure you will be obliged. Been working remotely for almost four years now as a Senior software engineer/Tech Lead, I am fortunate that the company is in UK, which is virtually same time zone as Nigeria. 7 Likes |

Chuky7: Bros lie small now, 200k for bank MD when not microfinance bank, even micro finance bank pay x2 of that or more self. I was once a banker, FCMB to be precise as at then, my supervisor was earning 500k after tax and other benefit then. Even a graduate trainee is earning more than 200k not to even talk of account officer 2 or 1 1 Like |

I am a front end developer but attimes I feel Programming/Development is Over-Hyped. There are other fields that pay wella. A friend of mine makes up to $2500 monthly doing Vintage Logos and T-shirt design on Fiverr with no plans of learning coding. My neighbour does $500 monthly trading forex; I $180 - $200 3 Likes 3 Shares |
