Travelling is good but to UK for masters is a no no. I wish I know what know now, ten years ago. Just avoid S.A. as well, those guys are not smiling. Canada, Germany, Ireland, Japan, and even Australia are not a bad options. Good luck bro. |

flyingpig:Nigeria is truly gone. @Op I am sorry to say but are you mentally imbalanced or there are spirits from your village disturbing you. You have the opportunity and resources to further your education abroad and you're contemplating missing it to build a house in hell. I pity you in advance if you fail to make the right choice |

My little contribution is this: 1: Build ur house because you don't know the outcome of what will happen in the abroad. Unforseen circumstances can render you handicap completely or u're sent back home. 2: If you still insist on traveling, Since so many people are adviceing you against UK, I think you should have a rethink. countries like Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Canada, USA e.t.c are all there to find the dream u desire. |

Beolly:Shadia Farouk had been talking sweet like say make people marry ontop nPower. Many youths are feeling families with it. nPower salary should be something given to secondary school students as savings money, not to graduates |

Talk2david1:What do you know about the UK? You are the type that work only with calculators - £1000 to Naira! If I work in 4 places and earn £10/hr, bla bla bla.. Rubbish! UK is toast. Very educated Nigerians are stuck there in Toilet Cleaning, wiping old people's bum, Security Guarding and other demeaning, horrendous jobs..These are people with UK Masters and PhD's..No job for them. They can't even conveniently pay their bills, never mind save. Most are neck deep in credit card and sundry debts..There are few success stories but the odds of falling into the former category are far higher..Bad as Nigeria currently is, most Nigerians have a much higher chance of success and decent life here than in the UK.. |

greggng:It is better to get covid19 in Canada or US than be unemployed in Nigeria. If I'm given that option, I will choose covid19 in Canada. Life in Nigeria is already a gamble. Anything can kill you anytime |

Oracle55:Let me be candid with you, If you go to UK for masters , after your masters you will need a job , believe me they will give their own job first before they think of u. If you build your house, that doesn't stop you from going hungry cos house only takes money it won't give you money every month, oh u intend renting it out, will you be living on the proceeds of renting your house for a whole year? My advice is use your money to start a business, the proceeds will build your house and take you to UK either for further studies or enjoyment. |

cray91:Not everyone is fit to advise on this subject and you've actually shown how little you know..UK is still his best option especially Dublin Hmm! Nairaland..if I may ask, in what part of the UK is Dublin? Truth is, UK is a nasty place for most Nigerian immigrants. You pay prohibitively expensive school fees and you get no reward in terms of job or even visa..They expect you to fly right back to your country. Nothing said about the UK in the comments I have read is out of place. By the way, Dublin is in Ireland..a independent country from the UK. Northern Ireland is still in the UK though, with it's capital in Belfast..Things may however improve in the UK when Brexit is actualized..But for now, it's a no no.. |

Pls go and complete your house, do your masters here in Naija and venture into a business. Of all places, UK is not a good choice at all, like someone rightly said, they are just there for your money, after your studies, they’ll kick you back. Wish you all the best |

Bro no laugh me abeg. Country wey dey commot European Union because dem wan reduce immigrants and other factors, go come better for Africans post brexit? What a joke. Is like saying Nigerians willing to accept people from chad or Cotonou, after asking Ghanaians to leave . No laugh me Abeg. U.K. only willingly accepts so many african applicants, because they need their tuition and for them to do the odd jobs that their people will usually not do. How many times you don hear say person get tier 2 work from Nigeria except from nurses & doctors? They don’t need unnecessary nigerian graduates that won’t add value to their system fam. Just carry your degree dey go when you finish fabienjoe: |

Skymoore1004:Quite a lot of IT professionals also receive tier 2..... Uk is good for tech guys...pay is also not bad. However, I'll advice a nigerian IT guy to work remotely which is better. Earn in foreign currency n spend in naira. If u can break into financial or consulting sector, that's also cool. But it's highly competitive n u have to be good. What I will discourage is someone coming here to do masters and paying all that expensive school fees in a non medical or non IT course... That's a big no for me. |

Oracle55:1: Abroad where Europe i.e Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada, UK or USA? 2: What do you plan to study - be aware that Covid19 has changed the relative relevance of certain job skills in preferences for field-work, technology and medical mobile/agile requirements 3: In your own estimate, how much will your completed house go for on the market in the event that you end up jobless with the rest of the already thick unemployment market and deepening Naira-slide (to chaos). will it beat the Nigerian Inflation or will it sell for half the costs you put in i. 4: why is marriage important to you at this point... peer, pastor or family pressure? you are a guy - marriage can take a back-seat for now I would advise go abroad and study a course relevant to the job needs of the day.. you might get an abroad job and the safety-net of a working environment, get married then and send us pictures i have 4 friends who made the a decision to travel (legally) abroad... they never regretted it |

Oracle55:you dey ask naira , when na children dey here. Demnever see life I just dey laff at the advice. Better build your house, Abroad dey look for money. Dem no dey discriminate money especially UK If u aredeep you will understand the west is built on credit Which is based on interest from borrowing Thats why they love to borrow to africa so that the interest will generate cash. Better ask yourself do you want to visit or live abroad and for how long because e go reach stage after leaving abroad u will not be able to live in nigeira |

Yes that’s what I said earlier. If it’s not IT or health related , don’t bother. Funny enough 90% of Nigerian applicants go there to study business programmes or art related or something just stupid! SIRTee15: |
