While we are set to enjoy, let's bear in mind that chibuking's bonanza is real.

He only miscalculated it.

We must give alert when bonanza is sighted.one thing is it is sighted in the midst of bull.Very painful to ask one to climb down when he is enjoying and about to release...........

GTB arrived KM 22.
Zee lifting body small small.

Think this has to do with the expectation of interim dividend.

Fidelity: 31M bids vs. 4.8M offers
FCMB: did 1.81 already....

PEPSICo APPOINTS Mr SEGUN AGBAJA AS BOARD MEMBER.

PepsiCo, Inc. has announced that its Board of Directors has elected Segun Agbaje, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, as an independent member of its Board.

In a statement Wednesday, PepsiCo said Agbaje, 56, will join the Board and the Audit Committee effective July 15, 2020.

“I am delighted to welcome Segun to the PepsiCo Board,” said PepsiCo Chairman and CEO, Ramon Laguarta.

“Segun is a well-respected and proven business leader with a deep understanding of complex businesses and fast-growing markets, particularly Sub-Saharan Africa where we recently acquired Pioneer Foods as part of our strategy to expand in the region. His experience in business transformation and passion for delivering consumer value will serve PepsiCo well as we continue our journey to be the global leader in convenient foods and beverages by winning with purpose,” Laguarta said.

“We look forward to Segun joining the PepsiCo Board and to the valued global perspective he will add to our team,” said Daniel Vasella, chair of the Board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.

Vasella further said, “His knowledge and experience of embracing and scaling new technologies and critical capabilities will be valuable as we continue to invest in opportunities that create shareholder value and deliver long-term sustainable growth.”
Prior to becoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Bank plc in 2011, Agbaje, 56, held several positions at the bank after joining in 1991, including Executive Director and most recently Deputy Managing Director from 2002 to 2011.

Previously, Agbaje served as an auditor for Ernst & Young LLP in the United States from 1988 to 1990.

Agbaje also currently serves as a director of MasterCard Advisory Board Middle East and Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.

Yes the market and the investors need both for equilibrium and normal circle, that is what makes market and investing in stocks an interesting thing.
Some investors leaning towards TA while some towards fundamentals but both are needed. TA for entry and exit especially for traders

I suspect PFAs are strategically keying into MTN and some dividend-worthy banks(UGAZ+3F in view) following the NSE' recent revision and amendment to the pension index.

Selling/buying pressure happens all the time. One of the ways dilution happens is when total units of stock is increased without corresponding increase in net profit thereby affecting the EPS. Market will eventually re-price the stock with time. There are exceptions though.

Continue quoting textbook, what I saw when trading is different,Go look At forte oil when they issued bonus shares and people rushed and sold theirs on the floor, the truth is that when they issue bonus shares,

1) the shares in the company increases

2) people rush to sell it on the floor crashing the price

3)if the company sustains the NP level as before EPS falls and MPS falls automatically and it’s get worse if NP level falls EPS falls further

So in any way I don’t like when a company issues bonus shares to its investors or does right issues( Flour mill 2018 if you don’t buy you have lost as TERP price falls) and people still rush to sell on the floor. Truth is cost of equity is expensive and isn’t tax free, whilst cost of debt is cheaper

It's obvious fcmb will close at 1.95 and that will be 10% full bid.

Fidelity will close above 1.80 today and may go for full bid tomorrow.

Just focus and see things with your eyes.

WHY AIICO INSURANCE IS DIVESTING...

The divestment of AIICO Insurance Plc from AIICO Pension Managers Limited is NOT driven by the company’s recapitalisation plans, the Managing Director/CEO, Babatunde Fajemirokun, has said.

Fajemirokun, in a statement in Lagos, stated that the company divested for two reasons.

He explained that the first is to unlock the value that is greater than holding the asset as a subsidiary.

The second, he said, is to deploy the capital in other assets where AIICO has a stronger competitive advantage, thereby maximising the long-term value for its stakeholders.

He said while AIICO has entered into discussions with FCMB Pensions Limited for the divestment of AIICO Pension, the proposed sale would see an uptake of AIICO’s 70 per cent stake in the company.

He further stated that the proposed transaction is subject to the approvals of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).

He noted that AIICO Insurance is a leading composite insurer with a record of serving its clients that dates back over 50 years.
