The world does not give an F about your well being.
If your give them money, they will definitely collect it.
But when you are hungry, need a job to earn money to take care of yourself, the world will not give you..

I lost a contract of $2'500/Month yesterday because my Skype number is Nigerian number.

I have concluded negotiation, and I was asked to send my Skype so he would link me with the CEO for final approval. That's how everything went up in flames.

I imagine the pain?

I'm definitely leaving this shithole of a 'cuntry'. God willing!

Nonsense and Nigeria.

It's quite unfortunate on how other countries perceive Nigerians due to the ignorance of some inresponsible kids who have access to the internet. Some of the elders who are in the political system do not even help matters in redeeming our National image. Well Nigerian yours should take this as a challenge upon themselves and take charge of their future else the future is bleek.

It has been like that in Dubai for along time not just Hushpuppi aftermath. Most Nigerians are known for dubious attitudes all over the world. We need to stop our corruption both at home and abroad or we will remain blacklisted. Our Youths are among the people with least moral deficiencies globally.

Thanks bro.
Actually kind of had a premonition, so I was reluctant to send it but had no choice.

I even listed Dubai as my residence, and wanted to make an excuse that I'm stranded in Nigeria because of Covid19. Didn't work as the see anything Nigerian as leprous.

I'm OK. We must leave with who we are no matter how painful.

Thanks for being kind, brother.

Hushpupi is just a miniscule reason for this.

Dubai international airport is infested with Nigerians looking for who will help them ferry goods home. Area 3 of Emirates departure hall is a real replica of Oshodi.

It's only a Nigerian that will pull out wads of dollars and dirham in public. Other nationalities are wary of this but we must show off.

Visit any Du office, especially around Bur and Deira. You'll be ashamed to identify as a Nigerian. Tuee!

They know us there.

Why should you list Dubai as your residence. That is what we say, basic honesty is missing. Our value system clearly says the end justifies the means which is totally wrong. Perhaps that is what eliminated your venture.

I always tell young people this... What you do and where you do it doesn't really matter. What makes or breaks a man is attitude, character and value set. What makes a man successful is HOW you do it.

If a man has an eye for excellence you can put him in the middle of a desert and people will fly out to meet him there. We are too desperate a people in this country for things that donot matter and it chains us to the vicious cycle of poverty.

Oops! Nigerian inclusive of leaders and citizen have trampled on the image of the country. If only Nigerians know how Nigeria and Nigerians are perceived abroad then Nigerians will not be quick to praise internet fraudsters. There is a systematic problem with leadership, followership and our value system. No respect for dignity in labor, theives and persons of questionable character get chieftaincy tittles and in religious centers they are given "high table" during fund raising. We have taken the bull by the horn it didn't work it's time we think out of the box and look inward in a bid to change the narrative. Uhuru Sasa
Some nigerians even went on social media to praise and still worship housppupi comending his frauding of oyibo people, claims it is a good pay back to the oyibos for creating nigeria or stealing from their nigerian forefathers as they put it, they forgot that every of their comments are seen and read by the FBI, CIA and dubai's authorities too. a lot of countries considers nigeria and nigerians as corrupt and criminal minded people, as nigerian politicians and so called leaders are seen on social media platform dinning and drinking with fraudsters, money laundrerers and scammers.

I hope they know there's no other African country that can fill Nigeria's shoes in terms of skills and qualifications. There may be some bad eggs, but my people are still the most educated and hard-working in Africa.

As for the image thing, let's not resort to blaming some individuals for that, it's a collective thing. If you are doing the right thing as a Nigerian living abroad, then you have done your part, those who know you will use you as a good example. We are a nation of 200m people with the most corrupt and wicked politicians in the world, you can't expect some youths not to go haywire.

Don't excuse fraud.
It has everything to do with Hushpuppy and his ilks.
You can tell yourself otherwise to feel good.
A rude, incompetent and inconsistent employee may be tolerated
but a fraudster will destroy a business at the slightest opportunity.
That is why Nigerians are excluded.

loneprof:

You can blame Hushpuppi or Invictus Obi all you want, but if we don't start with those making life hard for Nigerians, the looters of our commonwealth, we'll just keep going round in circles.

If America had politicians like ours, they would be worse. Don't expect much from youths who have been disenfranchised by their own government. Charity must begin at home.
Another fraudster defender.
It is time to blame politicians once again. Even Shekau, kidnappers and bandits also blame "looters" for their attrocities.
The only blame the government deserve is not sending fraudsters to the gallow.

You and your type will never take responsibility.
It is either the "enemy", the neighbor, government, or village people.
You are never responsible for your own choice.

Many of these idiots blame the country's system but when they get to the USA, Canada or Dubai
they still cling to criminal means of livelihood.
Are the looters in the US also responsible for internet fraud perpetrated by Nigerians living over there?

The foolish puppy even blame the government for his actions after supposedly escaping the shithole
and landing in paradise.

Niger is a poorer country than Nigeria

Most of them are abroad (Nigeris, Ghana etc) doing menial jobs and making a honest living

How many of them are committing crimes across the world or defending criminals the way we do in Nigeria

Living in the early 90s, never in a million years would I have imagined Nigerians and Nigeria degenerate to this level. The rot is so bad that it appears there is no coming out of it.
