Canada has the same thing but u will never see a line up for bed, u will see 1 out of hundred sleeping outside.
Listen America does not have any excuse for thier actions because they are just tooo greedy for my liking.

Ova here even people that can go out thier and look for a job styll stay at home waiting for social assistance from the government which they get and yea there are getto areas around here, violence occurs often but thier is styll a sense of order and understanding in this society.

Do you not know that America is Canada's biggest trading partner and one of her closest friends. Canada is wealthy today mostly because of close partnership with America.

@multi

it is not about the wealth, it is what the wealth is used for, if america is so rich why are they trying to acquire oil from other country illegally, and why are thier styll poor families that can't take care of them selves despite the help from welfare.
Re: What Do You Think Of America? by Multitask(m): 10:29pm On Feb 24, 2007
@ Superfool

But you are not in Nigeria experiencing the wanton power outages and poor roads among other things. So you views are not legit.

@ Dime

Far from it, America doesn't want their oil. By the way, do you not know that America has invested billions of $ in Iraq? Iraq has a good chance to become very developed with America's co-operation but due to religious debacles and sectarian disturbances, that is stalled. Those poor people are responsible for their choices and planing their family, not the govt.

Re: What Do You Think Of America? by Dime(f): 10:43pm On Feb 24, 2007
look at u guyz, do u think una make sense.

Investing billion of dollars on another country when that money could be invested in tomorrows generation so they don't suffer like today's generation is doing.

Man look at Nigeria, it used to be a low economy nation, but now with the help of the president and people that believe in that country, it is getting educated, updated, and very resourceful

Thats exactly my point, why does America invest billions of $ in these Countres? I'll tell you why, it is because they are generous and helpful. In the past America has been reluctant to get involved in any Country, but when things start getting way out of hands, who does everyone call on? Well your old faithful, America to come save the day.
Re: What Do You Think Of America? by Dime(f): 10:55pm On Feb 24, 2007
but u don't get my point, why are u investing in another when ur own is not well fed yet?

@ Dime

Again, there are all kinds of government and private programs that get govt and private funding that are available to anyone who needs help in America. Let those people learn how to apply for those benefits. But take Nigeria for example, these programs don't exist, there is no hope for anyone unless they have some kind of connection.

This battle was fading out but you are trying to ignite it again. And I must ask you why?
Re: What Do You Think Of America? by Dime(f): 11:09pm On Feb 24, 2007
Nigeria is a country that thrives on survival, thats why u won't see a nigerian out on the streets with these homeless people in the same situation.

Sweety no one is saying there ain't provided help but how much are being given and all these public and private help aren't garaunteed anywayz. As for Nigeria whateva do you mean dat there aren't no such things like shelters and special programs?

sweety when was the last time u went home?>
Re: What Do You Think Of America? by Multitask(m): 11:14pm On Feb 24, 2007
@ Dime

Come on, there are all kinds of poor people in Nigeria without any govt help. I was in Nigeria a little over a year ago, my visit was marred by power outages and boredom. These programs doesn't exist in Nigeria today.

Re: What Do You Think Of America? by Dime(f): 11:20pm On Feb 24, 2007
I personally think that the power outage are among Nigerian logo, i enjoy ma self with the light on or off.
Nigerians don't complain about it anymore, instead they are finding ways to better it. Besidez it is not as worse as it use to be before anyway

My point is no country is perfect especially America who is far from perfect.
