IYGEAL:
Did you see Guinness at this price though?
Yesterday Guinness traded a sizeable quantity at N13.50k

You nailed it, madam. For me and my household, any stock on the NSE that doesn't pay a reasonable dividend(not a kobo-kobo dividend) has no place in my portfolio. #ICAN'TKILLMYSELF. cool
There is too much uncertainty in the world for now. What if the regular dividend paying companies can't pay full dividend for now? I will advise investors to discount next dividend expectations by 30% minimum.

Jijo is pure risk taking for now.

Is GUINNESS a good buy at N12.60k? or should we wait a little more cc. BBM. FXUSER. ORACLE. EWUMI. LOCO. MASHAI and all the EXPERTS in the house.
...Technically, I would like to see strength in Guinness before I put my money down. A stock that just make a 52 week low has higher tendency to go lower.

This is understandable. I was referring to companies that were not paying dividend PRE-COVID.

Very true, sir. But glad that I snapped CAVERTON, JBERGER(intraday) and NAHCO at their 52-week lows! Though I thought I caught Guinness at the bottom at sub N16. But it now seems to me like the knife that I caught has plenty room to cut deeper cheesy cheesy cheesy

Wow but you dont have the volume that can bring the price to 1.70 now though market is trying to go on a lower low consolidations.I will try to get an interpretation to that.

With the way Guiness is falling.................. I want to ask what is the likely-hood of Guiness coming into the market to seek for funds for its operations in the future

That will be in addition to the over 130m units they currently have.

I doubt Guiness will come to market at this time their share price has crashed. Making new offering at the current price will lead to share dilution.

I was playing with you. I just wanted you to know I followed you, for you to remember the person addressing you? And make you laugh. What’s wrong with that teasing? About food too?
If I was insulting you why would I follow you to this place? To learn your money moves from you? I even added the cool icon to let you know what I think of your money saavy?

You misunderstood me totally. I wish you understand me now. But I am sorry if you feel disrespected, because that was not my intent at all. Gbaghalum.

This thread is livelier than the Forex thread. How comes?
Because people actually make money in the long and short term.

Even if their short term Jijo doesn’t workout, long term could.

The stock market does not have a fixed cap, economy gets better? Businesses making a killing? We are all happy no matter what. Bear market to make prices drop? Still no bother, we end up making 20-30 % dividend yields, that could translate to higher yields in the future depending on how well the business does.

With the entry price points of some people, many are probably collecting up to 100% dividend yields.

Apart from the occasional FA vs TA argument or Bear vs Bull market argument, we are a happy family here kind off and you are welcome to join us. grin grin grin

Caveat - some people still lose money (not me though, paid all my school fees in the crypto market).
