For your information, despite having a two-year headstart, CR7 has a lesser number of non-penalty goals in his career than Messi has currently. I repeat, Messi has scored a higher number of non-penalty goals than CR7 as we speak. Go figure!

You make good points however it is misdirected, as if you read my post well, it was not disputing CR7's superiority to Messi in the area of penalties. Except you are saying that Messi's penalty prowess might be at par with CR7's if we adjust for timing differences in their careers. If that is the case, well then it's a possibility. But as of now, Ronaldo is intrinsically a better penalty taker than Messi. Messi takes more classy Panenka penalties though.

From the replay,Muriel wasn't even aware of where the ball was going and it hit his arm!
