The best plan... Get multiple admissions. Write to the schools to plead for deferment... Start online classes with any school offerings online classes while you wait and hope for interview date. It may not come until later in December/November.

My answer is abstract. But If you are close to the deadline required for you to pay your tuition fee for winter semester, I’d suggest you first write to your course coordinator or school and ask for extension on the payment deadline because of the uncertainty of the German embassy in Nigeria to resume visa application. They will reply positively considering the COVID pandemic. I Did it for summer semester. Don’t pay yet. Don’t lose money.

Monday has passed, still nothing. The future with AD looks blurry now. A friend called the embassy this morning and was told, I quote " They said they are not opened for student visa application for now". She went further to tell the person she spoke with that she has funded her account since her interview was to be be conducted just 2 days before the lockdown. The reply she got was demoralising. She was told that was her decision.

I know some would argue that visa is a privilege and not a right... But making provisions and good responses to enquires like this is very important. Imagine if the applicant funded through a loan and the interest is accumulating or an SL which is nearing expiration already.

My school mate studying in Germany is busy enjoying summer even travelled to Zurich( Switzerland). These ban on international flight is somewhat directed to Africa and Nigeria is the mist hit.

Thus is so painful. I got admission for summer, I couldn't get appointment and I have for winter by God's grace but this Covid-19 and embassy not helping issues at a all.

You need to show proof that you have been there for over 6 months, proof could be residence permit, passport proof, etc

I still believe it's all going to pan out right if we take the appropriate steps. Like someone said on this forum, gather as much AL you can, take the ones that give you option of online classes and enroll pending when the embassy resumes visa applications or better still defer the admission when it gets to that point of no return.

I asked how sure he is about the info, he said 100% that people came for Block account and other things..
