Guys Good morning....whenever I have issues, I try my best to solve it with whoever is involved but right now someone is trying to test my patience, this someone is Adewasco2k. On July 9th, he posted a deal "iPhone 11 pro max 256gb factory unlocked" open box though without earphones for 415k. I called him and made enquiries about the phone if it was unlocked and he said yes. I then chatted him up on WhatsApp and asked who the picker was and he said puffynana, I said no problem that he should send his account details that I'll pay for it. Fast forward to yesterday evening, I dey my own jejeli o dey play game on my phone for house after the holdup I had faced in Lagos, only for me to receive a voice note from oga Adewasco2k saying that the phone is unlocked o but it is under this "US RESELLER FLEX POLICY", that does unlocking but he had tried to unlock it with 5k through a friend but it didn't work, but that the friend said when the phone lands 9ja, that it will cost 15k to unlock but that his not sure if it will unlock so he wants to tell me now if I want a refund he can refund me. I know about this policy and how it works, so what I told him is that I don't have a problem with it, but that what I bought from him was an unlocked phone and that it's what I'll collect from him, that I have already sold the phone as tlc to someone else that isn't on NL and the person wants his phone and not a refund. Na him my oga say we go have to share the unlock together o, I told him I'm sorry I can't share any unlock with him cos I wasn't the one who made the mistake "This was because of the manner he was talking to me about sharing the unlock fee". I then thought of it, that this shouldn't be a problem, I told him ok I'll help him out with 5k for the unlock and next thing is Baba come dey change am for me o......see screenshot of our chat, didn't wanna bring this here but na him say make I bring am here o

Mr Ade,you knew the phone wasn't unlocked,you sold it as unlocked!
Buyer can only agree to help with unlock fee,you can't impose it on him.

If the berry of profit was sweeter,u won't share it with buyer,same applies to loss. Bare it,man up,chin up and take responsibility by supplying buyer with his unlocked phone. If refund will ever occur,it should come at a cost (with interest).

Conclusion,you knew phone was locked before selling it off as unlocked. Make we dey fear God,even if na small.

This issue shouldn't even get here at all. Ade is supposed to take full responsibility, the buyer even accepted to pay 5k out of the 15k which is very kind of him and should be appreciated for being reasonable and understanding.

Ade is one of my very good client and I know him to be understanding and reasonable too, I'll discuss with him.

1. I refund now that it’s just still early and phone is even yet to be shipped

2. Wait till phone lands and we try to unlock again but if unlock doesn’t work I will refund

Then he told me he bought unlocked and that is what he is getting

I don’t believe in staying on a problem but rather finding solution.

Please how did I frustrate ur effort, I understood u right from the very first word of ur voice note, but what I was trying to let u understand is the we can't share the unlock fee. I leta understood that it's not easy for u alone and offered to add 5k, yet u didn't say anything but was insisting on a refund
