Hun! Say that again . Makinde is an oil and gas investor. He has an oil amd gas engineering company in which he was doing well. He's a very rich dude. When he said he was going into politics, we were wondering what else does he want. He said he wasn't coming on board to steal but to serve his state and we are seeing that already. Ajimobi was an employee of shell subsidiary. Fyi, I know makinde's his house at orita bashorun. He lit the whole street nearly a decade ago when he wasnt even sure of being Governor. You dont know him at all.

I like him and proud of his achievements anyways but he is going the wrong way. Ibadan is the home of politics in Nigeria and the best thing to do is for your achievement to work for you.

There's no gainsaying the fact that late ajimobi tried in oyo and thanks to the 8 years he spent, which was rare of any oyo governor in history to stay so long.The oke ado-oke bola road dualisation really gladdened my heart cos its my base. I be ibadan boi oo. If you know imalenfalaafia, off ososami/liberty Road junction, close yo tribune house, na my place be dat.

Now, I agree with you, a contractor at shell is as rich as the top guys at brass lng. I am a proud contractor of shell ( both at ogunu in warri before closure and the one at rumuomasi in PHC). My knowing seyi makinde isn't a distant one, I know him closely ni. He also had his company's branch in the oil-rich region. I didn't even know he's from oyo state until later. That said, I'm sure you know it's hard for the opposition to defeat an incumbent or a ruling party. Forget that people also loved him but in a place like oyo state, with ibadan, the erstwhile largest city in africa as capital, money...i mean huge money is involved and the pdp didn't have all that to spend in oyo to support makinde. If he wasn't so buoyant, he wouldn't hablve gone far, talk less of winning the election. Jagaban sef spent, even the money he gave tore the loyalists of alaafin molete apart. In spite of all these seyi won fair and Square. I'm not saying he spent to bribe or rig oo. I meant money for campaigns across all the LGAs of oyo as vast as it is and it takes a financially buoyant man to do that esoecislly when the party doesn't have much to donate for campaigns.

To be honest with you, this duplex you're talking about is unknown to me. I don't know all his property. But I know his residence at orita bashorun where his mum also lives. Playing bad politics isn't also a nice idea. I hope he changes though.

I knew him and Ayade when they were contracted by SPDC in Warri and PH . Apart from Ayade that is somehow meeting up with the expectations, Makinde has not . It will interest you to know that Ajimobi that I am showing interest in what he did could tar the road to my house through out the 8years but Makinde just approved it. I don't expect him to fraternise with Ladojas of this world and his cohorts. People are expecting more from him base on his pedigree. He has become a movement before he became the governor so the expectation was like that of Buhari. I pray he succeeds and realise that he has less than 2yrs to justify reelection .
