have said it countless times...we enjoy football the more without VAR than now that its introducced because the regular stops and the search for perfection do make football boring to watch especially for the non fans...
what about the suspense it creates, that few secs the game was stopped and referee goes up to consult the VAR keeping everyone else in suspense. Don't we enjoy that either?

Why do you say handball by Arnold. The ball hit the hand of a city player 1st and changed the direction the ball before hitting Arnold. Why are you guys blind to see that. Is it hatred that's clouding your vision.

Dear Nigerian and African EPL fans... Give it a rest already!!! VAR is a foregone conclusion! It has come to stay!

VAR, with all its inconsistencies, is still far better than relying on human referee bias.

This is a teething phase. Such complaints are quite commonplace... By next season, a lot of these issues would have been straightened out.

Bottom line, every team has got to work hard and apprise themselves of the rules of the game... Let the beautiful game be fair to all!!!

VAR does not stop human bias when the referee decides to make wrong calls to favour another. Just as the Bruno Fernandes case.

After going to VAR, this was a penalty in favor of Manchester United.

The var officials were bias and clearly aiding Liverpool all season.

I have analyzed that with a professional pundit... That goes two ways sir.

It is actually a penalty cos a goal scoring or tactical move within the box was interfered with by the defending player. However, it is a soft one cos in the process, the attacking player equally stepped on the foot of the defender, but it can be read that Bruno was all about scoring.

In all, it shouldn't have been given as a penalty. These things will improve as time goes on.

The officials behind the cameras and the referee on the pitch knew it was not a penalty and gave it because of their premeditated plans. There is no way to coat it.

It only improves when the corrupt elements behind English football are dropped.

VAR doesn't have the final say in such calls or perceived errors... The central referee is supposed to review it with them using a Pitch side TV.

This is the right way, and exactly how it's done in Serie A, and La Liga.

VAR is simply meant to assist the referee in cases where he gets or makes the wrong calls... I believe these things will improve in EPL as time goes on.

Generally, VAR will make refereeing far better, and make the game fairer... You don't just kill a project within its infancy because of isolated discrepancies.

You think it is a mistake that all referees, (except one I remember in a particular game) chose not to go to the screens to make decisions? It was preplanned to maintain their rigging officiating.

The only good thing var has done is to prove how rigged the epl is. Even when they go to var, they clearly make bias calls. At least they can not blame error due to the speed of the game.

Man City should have had a penalty for Trent Alexander-Arnold handball and the error illustrates VAR is not working

In my opinion it is exactly the sort of clear and obvious error that VAR was introduced to deal with, and City should have had a spot kick. The error was made particularly painful by the fact Liverpool had gone straight up the other end and scored, and so it is not hard to see why Guardiola was so irate.

I felt that Alexander-Arnold’s arm was away from his body, and his intervention prevented the ball from reaching a City player at the back post - making it a clear handball. In contrast, the penalty shout at the end against the same player was correctly not given because Alexander-Arnold’s arm was by his side and he had no time to react as it was hit straight at him from close range.

I have seen suggestions that because the ball hit Bernardo Silva’s hand before striking Alexander-Arnold the officials would not have been able to award City a penalty. Crucially, the Premier League insisted a spot kick was not awarded because Alexander-Arnold’s hand was not in an unnatural position, rather than because of Silva’s role in the incident. Taking them at face value I believe they have made the wrong call,

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/11/10/manchester-city-should-have-had-penalty-fortrent-alexander-arnold/amp/

Even if they say it was not a penalty, why allow fabinho's goal stand?

The var officials clearly said the deflected ball to Trent's arn was not the reason thdy did not give a penalty but because Arnold's arm was not in an unnatural position which is a bloody lie.

In the rule, Bernardo made no move to gain advantage with his arm, so it was not in the picture.

That is why watching the video is important and proves var officials bias to help Liverpool.

If they didn't want to give a penalty but agree an obvious handball, why let the goal of fabinho stand?

That is exactly what baffles me with them analyst... So let's assume the ball didn't hit Trent's arm , and instead got to aguero right and he ends up sticking it in the back of the goalpost, would the goal have stood? Knowing clearly the ball hit Silva's arm and changed the direction of the ball.

I think the referee allowed the match to go on since he didn't see anything wrong and besides city had a good chance to clear their lines before the Fabinho goal.

Cry Liverpool a river biko.
That's the only point you saw or have, there was a season Liverpool led the 2nd team by a 7 points gap and still lost the league. What about the season Mane got a red for an offence that should have been a yellow card at most, that was the same or even worse offence another player committed but got yellow that same season or season after that, but you are here complaining of a season which Liverpool led by 8 points in November.
There was a foul by B. Silva before the ball touched Trent's hand, moreover it was the natural position for Trent's hand, the ball only touched his hand because of the bounce on B. Silva's hand ball.

Congratulate Liverpool and stop hating.

YNWA!

It shouldn't be limited to football only,it should be included as a machine for assessing government. For example, instead of questioning the of PMB and Jonathan's ministers through orals, pen and paper,VAR would go a long(better) way.

Gandollar comes to mind, the government should've known what to do to him,if not for corruption from nepotism ravaging the system.

We should not be surprised on the last day of judgement,as VAR would be simply used( to save time),by then, after seeing all the atrocities you committed while on earth, you won't bother to argue but to go where is truly due for you...

Lol Bernardo's arm deflected the ball to aguero's path,so yea he did a lot wrong, the goal would have been chalked off if VAR was to take an unbiased look at it .
Take a look at mahrez fifth goal in city's 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool, chalked off for the same reason. Although I thought that was a bit soft and the goal should have stood Because it had little effect on the motion of the ball .
