CHAPTER THIRTY TWO


The Van parked across the street, in front of the compound, waiting for Paulina to leave the house. David bent his head, going through his phone when Acid screamed.


"Boss, look" He pointed towards the direction of the gate. David took his head up and gasped in shock.


"Daniel? he didn't die?, is that really him?" he nervously asked.


"We will only find out, if we question him" Kyle shrugged.


"Obed, you will go get him to the Van, he might run when he sees me" David said, his focus on Jeff who had walked past their Van and was heading to the junction.


"Me? Kyle should go, please. what if he is a ghost? he will now kill me" Obed spoke up immediatly.


"There is nothing like ghosts, silly, they don't exist" Acid sneered, opened the door of the Van and stepped down, trying to catch up with Jeff.


"Doctor Daniel, please wait" he called out to Jeff, who didn't as much as spare him a glance. Acid doubled his steps "Doctor Daniel" he called out, again, almost shouting. Jeff turned his head and asked


"Are you talking to me?"


"Yes, i am. I have been calling" Acid replied, breathing heavily.


"Am Sorry, but my name is not Daniel, am Jeff" he smiled.


"Jeff?" Acid raised his brows in shock.


"Yes, am Jeff. are you looking for someone?"


"No, you are a doctor and your name is Daniel, you don't remember?"


"You knew me before the accident? really? I was a doctor before? but Paulina said i worked as a sales rep" he blinked his eyes.


"Who is Paulina?"


"My wife" he shrugged.


"Whosever this Paulina is, she lied to you. Just follow me to that Van over there and i promise to explain everything to you" he pointed at the Van.


"Why should i trust you?" he asked.


"Because i have a lot to tell you about your past" Acid sighed, he tried to smile, to at least ease the atmosphere around them, but he ended up looking scary.


"If you try anything funny, i will alert the residents of this area" he warned.


"Just follow me" Acid replied, walking hastily to the Van while Jeff followed behind. They got to the Van, Acid helped him to the back, where Kyle and Obed were seated. He walked to the driver's side, entered and closed the door.


"Dan...iel, is this really you? we all thought you died, bro" David muttered, poking his head from the front seat. Jeff gasped and blinked his eyes severally.


"Who are you? and why do we look so much alike?"


"Because we are twins. you are my twin brother, don't you remember?" David said, excitedly.


"Twin brother?" Jeff asked and then held his head "aaahh" he shrieked.


"Oh my God, what is happening to him?" Kyle asked, in fear.


"Daniel what is wrong with you?" David asked, squeezing himself in to the back of the Van, from the front. He held Jeff's shoulder and shook him slightly.


"My head, it is banging, aaaah" Jeff shrieked again, louder than the first time.


"Acid, drive to any nearest hospital, please" David shouted.


"Okay" Acid replied and turned the ignition.





David walked tro and fro, waiting for the doctor to get off the ward. He sighed again and again, his eyes focused on the door to the ward. He had told the guys to stay back in the Van. The doctor finally came out, David ran to him like a lightening.


"How is he?" he asked.


"What happened to him?" the doctor asked.


"I don't know, we were just talking, then he held his head and screamed"


"Did he have an accident prior to this time?"


"Yes, he did, we all thought he died"


"He has memory loss, but not as a result of the accident, someone fed him with BENZODIAZEPINES and NARCOTIC Pain killers. These drugs i mentioned cause memory loss, they have other functions too, like BENZODIAZEPINES are anti depression drugs while the other one is a pain killer. But with the number of intake and the amount of drugs in his body, i think it was done to wipe his memory" The doctor meticulously explained.


"What? how is that even possible? wiping someone's memory?" David widened his eyes in shock.


"It is very much possible"


"Can anything be done? like what can be done to bring back his memory?"


"Yes, since it is not natural, he needs to take CHOLINESTERASE and MEMANTINE. And fruits like Oranges, Beets, Avocados and Blue berries, within a short period of time, his memories will come back, bit by bit" he replied with a nod of the head.


"Thank you, i can see him now, right?"


"Yes, you can" he turned around and left.
