Before the owner now called it and it ran away

Anyway me and the dog became friends behind my neighbour's back, even when it gave birth I dey give the dog and im puppies milk and remnant food food

One afternoon after returning from work so fatigued, I had to take a nap (nap turned to a real four hours sleep). I woke up during eventide and felt like getting fruits myself by the roadside just about a stone-throw from my place.

As I was moving, sth just told me cucumber will be ideal, therefore, I had to cross to the other side of the road to get it.

I was heading home and that same sth in my head that has been advising me since I woke up opined that it's suggesting I buy groundnuts to eat the cucumbers along. It also spiced everything in my head once like: 'after the buying of the groundnut and you reach home, why not just put the cucumber in the fridge to chill a little, then enjoy it with the groundnut.' Well, it seemed nice. I had to go back to get groundnuts.

Now, this was where the problem started.

I thought about not coming outside again so I wanted to get everything that will definitely keep me indoors. I bought some fried meat and kpomo. Waiting for my balance, I was thinking whilst searching for other things I likely will need.

I bin dey reason wetin I wan use step down those things I don tanda. I was like '..should I buy this Zero Coke or Hollandia Yogurt or should..' I was interrupted by seeing Sop (short for Sopuruchi) closeby who's 1. Has always pestered me to know where I stay, 2. I don't like her way of life, coupled with fact that she was ready to just come, come dey swallow kpomo anyhow with toothpick without conscience. Personally too, I'm not the sort who brings anyone to my place and dont like unauthorized visits.

She's so self-centered that before you say Jack, she's uncorked one Heneiken and flushed it down her throat, and still be talking rubbish with you between mouthfuls of more swallowed beef. She's well known for that. Believe me bro, I've seen her attack sb so I took cover and I wasn't ready to overspend (when salary no go even come until two weeks later).

I walked then entered into a close there. God so kind, an uncompleted building (duplex) was adjacent with gates opened so I stood there and remembered I had to call a friend I promised I'd call a day before.
.
I dailed the number relaxed on a wall stamping a foot repeatedly. I could hear some noise the other side of the building: maybe they were partying I thought.

As the phone was still connecting, ha, I was just hearing another strange noise. I thought my ears where deceiving and resounding the stamping of my foot more loudly. Nna eh, chains were beginning to hit together and the ground shaking like sth was about to collapse.

O crazy me, I bent down to the ground as if to hear if the ground was mumbling till it barked! It was a dog! No be bingo, I mean a DOG! If you see how big this dog was!

I swiftly started climbing the [uncompleted] staircase to save my life from this fat-headed brutal merciless lion-type dog. It dived at my leg (oh my cool leg)... but a chain stopped it from reaching the first floor where I mounted.

I didn't even realise sth initially; the music stopped playing. I didn't take notice. I dey up there (feeling I defeated the dog), I bent and poured some sand as ' talk bark to the hand' abi was it to scare it? Dog was just gnashing its teeth looking at me. I even did ntoor to it. I decided to urinate on it cos I thought it wouldn't understand a middle finger. Of course, I spat at the asshole. That wasn't all. I take stone dey stone the dog until I turned around to meet many seated human beings looking at me (I mean very many people) who was attending a burial adjacent the wall; the MISDEEMED PARTY.

Chai, I wished I could just disappear that day. I was like 'father lord, just take my soul.' I couldn't go down and nowhere to hide. The MC was even on MIC like: 'Please, young man.., hello young man, yes you, we'll like you to come down as we'll like to continue please. ' Na me come mumu come signal am (cos he wouldn't hear me if I talked from there) make e come close and told him my ordeal. The mumu MC carry MIC announce am say who get dog over the building to go shift am say 'to help this innocent stranded young man' there. People laughed me die. Just imagine a very tall cute light-skinned guy wey carry nylon on a building na. The matter just tire me.
This life no just balance.

Well, it was one hell of an experience. Na that day I know there's a very giant difference between a dog and a bingo.

Las las, I still jam Sop for road as I was going home very nervous and angry. Wetin just dey ring my mind na 'just dare call me, in fact, just dare look at me.. If I no on LCD for you now..'

Nigeria is largely an unregulated country with a disorganized system..the fact that the government has failed to take to account issues like this should not be a reason why normal citizens should not use their brains or common sense to understand the difficulty in controlling and managing such a dog breed with regards to the environmental conditions of his immediate neighbourhood...but alas he spent a few change that can account for the twelve years of existence of the promising boy his beloved pet mauled to a sorry end.....

This excessive display of foreign breeds that they can't handle among Nigerians
.will keep leading to the injury or deaths of many of their friends,relatives and neighbours

My experience was hilarious at the same time shameful. I wasn't chased by a Dog but a PUPPY, not even up to two months puppy very aggressive thing. So I went to get something down the street, coming back,I had to pass through our neighbors house,they rear dogs and one had just given birth. Well, I fear dogs.... So I try to avoid them but on this day, I couldn't and I thought it was just a pussy, So little puppy came closer , I stood still , sensing my fear, it decide to show me who the boss is. It barked! Like as little as it was ,it barked, not loud though but it was advancing. Annoyed at it's audacity,I decided to shuu it away,lol that action only stirred the hornet nest for me, it became more aggressive and was coming with force, Lol Nobody told me to run before I did. When I got tired of running, I picked up a stone and threw it at at the naughty thing, it fell.Other puppies about four or five gathered around it but I was lucky the Mother wasn't around. . That particular puppy was sold off first among others and I was glad.

This was just the thread that I was waiting for
It happened a few months ago, I was going to see my friend at her house, little did I know that their neighbours next door just got two new vicious looking dogs with hungry brown eyes, I entered the gate and met the two dogs staring at me 'they were obviously hungry'
My first instinct told me that I should just stay still, and I followed it, I stood face to face with the dogs for almost a full minute, then it dawned on me how long I was gonna stand there, my friend didn't know that there was a visitor outside their house and neither had I knocked on their door yet
So I called out her name in desperation, 'Bella' *not her real name* and the next thing I remember were two savage animals chasing me around their small compound
My only luck that day was that her father was around, he just heard the bruhaha outside and called the dogs back, If not, they would have eaten me for lunch that day
Since then I've gone to their house only twice, and each time I do, before I enter the gate, I always ask the ppl outside if the dogs are around

Mine was not so mild it was more tragic

My neighbors dog got out and attacked some teenager in the street, it was a pure breed Grizzly bear bloodline Rottweiler. They are massive , dangerous and extremely violent he had two , hulk and Bruno ..

Hulk got out and attacked this university student on Holliday , the wound was so terrible it tore his entire calf muscle out to the bone and his hands were ripped so badly because he was protecting his neck

Now my neighbor paid all the damages and more to keep the case low key cause he loved his dogs

So he sent hulk to his village home. One day hulk killed the care taker 's 12 year old son .. that's when he had to rush down spend on the burial and other culture stuff the villagers demanded

He had to put hulk down after this .. he cried like a baby for weeks

Rottweilers are not connected to bear linage... and cannot be hybrid together

When I was a little girl I followed my friends to go fetch water from a public borehole, when I was done fetching mine I put the basin on my head, while we were walking back home two dogs walked past us, my friends didn't even noticed but I did, so as the dogs were walking on their own jejely I turned back to look at them cuz my heart was already pounding so I did that thrice and the dogs noticed and turn to look at me, I didn't even care about the water I threw the basin of water away and immediately turned to usain bolt and the dogs followed me while I was screaming and running till I fell down and I thought for a moment that I was done with, only for the dogs to sniff at me and returned back on their way since that day eh if you are my friend and u have a dog in your house don't even think of inviting me cuz I won't come

Was walking with my babe one cool evening a dog just pump up from a gate heading towards us directly barking aggressively. Guy I just take off leave babe oooooo people for that street laugh tire. I look back only to see babe on her kneels begging the dog and a good Samaritan just shouted at the dog from a far, that was her saving grace

Got chased by tow bingos. When going to school, I don't like following normal route that people follow oh, na bush I dey ever follow. That fateful date I was heading to school with my books on my head. Met two bingos on the way, I didn't know the time i reach road oh. Them sha bite me.
The second was our Rottweiler, he hated all the women in the house, he only warms up to my dad and brother. He did something wrong and my brother gave him some small beatings. Unknown to me, I went close and na so the dog transfer him aggression to my leg. It was not funny, I escaped with a punctuated wonder on my leg and hand.

That year, on my way back from the practice on that faithful evening, the road was silent so i just decided to be singing those songs practiced few minutes ago,
on getting to this certain house, i wasn't aware there were dogs there, they just attacked me from nowhere as i was singing loudly(meanwhile the house has no fence),
Come and see 100m senior boys, i don't know i was good at running until that day, one thing that surprised me was that i wasn't tired as long as the race was,

I won't say much, but I never knew I could Fly until the 28th of March 2017.

It happened when I was going to visit a childhood friend many years ago. As I was trekking (since we live in the same estate), I kept on increasing my pace and I eventually started running since I couldn't wait to get there and play Mortal Kombat on his Sega game. Before I knew what was happening, I saw a dog barking and pursuing me. I was very scared and I kept on running. The dog being faster was catching up with me. Since I couldn't escape, I then decided to stop and face it head on, but it stopped to my surprise and started staring at me. I was confused.

As the dog kept staring at me, I didn't know what to do and I didn't know what it wanted, if at all it wanted anything. So foolish me decided to wave off situation and continuing running. The dog resumed the chase as I resumed my run. When I stopped again, it dog stopped and started staring at me again. Then the owners (a man and a woman) of the dog who were standing at a distance told me not to run and I should walk instead. I heeded and the dog left some seconds later. I could hear the owners laughing as I walked away. I was so scared that day. Why would a dog be trained like that?

Mine was goat.I didn't know the type of evil spirit that entered into the goat,the next thing I saw was a goat chasing me,the next thing was to run for my dear life.

There was this stray dog on our street when we were much younger .
My little brother and I were always stoning the dog ,we called the dog"digbolugi" ,very beautiful Bingo .

It was always in an uncompleted building in front of our house or sometimes at the back of our fence.

We were always looking for the dog's trouble untill Water pass garri ,the dog gave birth and we decided to " adopt" one of her puppies .

We came back from school one day , monitored when the dog won't be with the puppies ...na so we rush to go thief puppy oh ,the dog came in from nowhere ,chased me and my brother .

We ran with all our energy .I was in front ,I was almost inside and about to lock the gate .
I heard my brother's voice , screaming my name ,he tripped and was on the ground and the dog was a little distance from him.

I honestly don't know where courage came from, seeing my brother on the ground .
I just picked up stones ,sticks , anything I could lay my hands on and charged towards the dog ,she retracted and stood looking at us with pure hatred and annoyance.
I stood looking at it with annoyance too ,with a big stone ,my brother with a long cane.

The dog got tired and left .
That was the last day we looked for the dog's trouble .

We started dropping food for it at the front of the uncompleted building till it became very friendly to us.

My experience was was a funny one.
It happened last year, I travelled to spend my holiday with a close family friend.
I arrived there at night, the dogs (a rottweiler, GSD and a pup) welcomed my arrival with barking as usual with strangers, but she managed to calm them down, we went inside and I settled in..

Well the next morning, the dogs gave me the greatest scare of my life that I still smile each time I remember it. I was in the sitting room when I noticed that the dogs where hitting on the burglary proof just outside the house (didn't know that the dogs could actually remove the pad lock themselves once it's unlocked).
I saw through the window that the dogs have already passed the burgary proof and heading towards the main door which was slightly opened. I got up from the chair I was sitting on and ran to close the door fully so they won't get inside. JJC like me didn't know that the dogs knew their way around the house, they went to look for another entrance-the kitchen door!

I was heaving a sigh of relief thinking the dogs were gone only for me to open my eyes and I saw them right in front of me. I was scared and surprised at the same time that I began shouting at the top of my voice, aaaaahhhh! and the whole family came running from their various rooms thinking the dogs had bitten me already. Those dogs nearly gave me a heart attack that day, they were actually fierce-looking especially the rott with her intimidating size.

I later bonded with the dogs and we became friends, they even welcomed me each time I came back from my outings.

Lol, this is funny

But once your Inside a dog's compound and welcomed and mix with the people.. They won't harm you under normal circumstances.. Am sure they were checking the parlor as their normal routine

We always look for one dog trouble so this particular day this dog chased us, come see temple run, we all jumped on big gutter Except the girl she couldn't jump. The next thing we hear Is the girl negotiating with the dog saying "it's not me x2,see the people looking for your trouble am not among oooo" sha the dog left her and walked away.
