Interesting indeed. God's word can never fail. Those who can recall will remember that this government was preached and prayed into power by these frustrated spiritual mavericks who blaspheme by calling themselves men of God.
Why the whinning? The Bible says we reap what we sow. Very soon the political beast is going to turn aggressively and frightfully against these synagogues of demons and voraciously consume them, paving way for God's righteous nation, so that peace and security can reign supreme under kingdom rule, Rev 17:17,18; Isaiah 26:2
But wise ones are enjoined to flee from these false Satan maneuvred churches for their own salvation. Revelation 18:4. A little probe will reveal that their frustration is the pain that shamelessly the pandemic has exposed them to be magic practicers as one would have expected them to splash their miracles and vanquish this rampaging coronavirus, nay, rather they are whinning because their mundane sources of revenue to promote and sustain their flabouyant lifestyles are dwindling and they do not know for how long!
Their judgement, according to the inspired writings, are not delaying. Good that many are now waking up to the realization that these charlatans have been carrying on their obnoxious business which has nothing to do with our Holy Creator, Unvisersal Sovereign JEHOVAH GOD.

So you wld prefer the reverse... opening churches & shutting markets, or shutting both??

It's sheer hypocrisy and unfair discrimination to open a major avenue for community infection or disease transmission (Markets) while shutting down a far lesser avenue of the same pandemic spread citing safety reasons...

If churches (with a reduced risk of spread) are unsafe, then markets ought to be far more unsafe! This is obvious to us all na!!!

If you want to do something meaningful, then carry everyone along... Allow the churches to equally operate with strict warnings as regards adherence... Cos, claiming closure of churches is to stop spread of infection, while keeping more populated markets open daily makes absolutely zero sense.

Very true, market are overcrowded for more than 10 hours.

If it because of COVID 19 churches were limited to one hour that means something is wrong, churches can control crowd with safety healthy measures put in place, how many markets have necessary safety measures against the spread of the virus, if that is how people are contacting the virus, hundred of thousand of people suppose to have contacted it from the market where exchange of money and other unwarranted contact are established.

do we need to stay 5 to 6hrs in the church?

the problem with you pastor chris is you think the pandemic and the events coming with it is related to the end times or the great tribulation where Christians would be prosecuted and the world ends and rapture occurs. while all the events tend to follow the scriptures prophesy the real purpose of the pandemic is just to dampen trumps re election and thats just it nothing more. like come November once that aim is achieved all the events occurring now would fail to exist. so pastor just be patent till November and you would have a better understanding of to what lengths politicians would go for power to the extent of manipulating the scriptures to win an election

Keep exhibiting your frustration on things that you have no control over then. I pray for peace and deliverance from any spirit frustrating your life and that of your family.

I know the evil spirit will not allow you to say amen but will instigate you to respond back.

I am sorry I responded to you initially. I didn't quite realize you are insane. I never attacked your family and would not do that because I don't know them and won't blame them for your poor upbringing. That they taught you to be responsible and you failed to heed is not anyone's fault but yours. I pray you find peace.

there is no valid point here Nigeria is a civil society and as such the rule of law must apply to all,it is stupidity to expect the govt to ignore safety protocols just for you,or should the same special status be extended to all individuals or organization?,if no then won't that be unfair if yes won't that ignorant as it means the virus does not exist, pastor Chris is just being plain stupid.

I think it is a good place. It is close to South Africa and still has few population of Whites after the colonial era.
The natives are the Khoi Khoi and other Bantu tribes.
If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, you should do well there, because Namibia seems to have GOOD PROCESS.

Pastor Chris should know we ain't all gullible. The church is now big business and should be regulated especially during this pandemic as churches and mosques are high risk areas due to their nature as places where people gather.

Doesn't their bible tell them to obey constituted authorities?

God is a Spirit and His true worshippers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
The above is a basic truth referring to how we worship God as per from the heart.
However, the place of corporate worship can never be downplayed. Physical fellowship is key to our spiritual growth as Christians.
When Jesus Christ was on earth,He was in the synagogue.
It is easier to keep to all the NCDC's COVID-19 guidelines in churches than in our traditional market places.
With strict adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines, a church can operate 4 services ( 2 hours each)conveniently.
I don't really see any justification for regulating church service duration.
So does it mean that adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines is more effective for 1-hour social gatherings?
