Akwa Ibom Psychiatric Nursing School Shuts down Over Lack Of Infrastructure

https://pottergrind./2013/08/23/akwa-ibom-psychiatric-nursing-school-shuts-down-over-lack-of-infrastructure-the-akwa-ibom-state-school-of-psychiatric-nursing-located-in-eket-local-government-area-has-been-shutdown-after-the-nurs/

Psychiatric School of Nursing Classroom, Eket Partly Unroofed

Adede Victor William, an activist and one of the affected students expressed bitterness over the government insensitivity on the students’ plight.
“It is really unbelievable that since the warning was given last year by the NMCN, nothing was done by the government to prevent the de-accreditation of the the entire courses which prompted the closure of the school.” William lamented

The activist took his frustration to further to the social media even as he stated on his Facebook timeline: What kind of world are we now? AKBC, ATLANTIC FM, PLANET FM AND THE REST OF THEM ARE SO, SO BUSY DOING NOTHING! Busy carrying news that are irrelevant to the welfare of the public…But things that has to do with the future of others is a taboo to report. Imaging Schools of Nursing in Akwa Ibom State being shutdown by Nursing Council for several months now, yet no broadcasting cooperation commented on it”

When this reporter visited the school, it was already taken over by makeshift pentecostal churches with sounds of loud speakers reverberating in the school

Very sad

Not sponsored by the state but the governor will sure contribute

Dont tell pointless lies. The state's spending billions to build a church. It could've improved vital infrastructure like the water utilities but y'all prefer churches.

9jaArea:
It's a waste of scarce resources if this is sponsored by the state.

However, it is an architectural master peice.

Okay

It is being sponsored by the state and they also have the nerve to solict donations.

There are bad eggs in every state and like we have stated repeatedly, Akwa Ibom State is not there yet but it would soon get there.
Wether you like it or not, Akwa Ibom State has surprised we all at the rate it has grown in terms of development compared to other state and thus we learned Akwa Ibomites are proud of it.

I don't know if someone told Akwa Ibomites that presenting a statistics table is the answer to the plethora of issues bedeviling Akwa Ibom.

Their population is largely uneducated, poor, unexposed, unsophisticated and unenlightened. And their Governors usually have a money-miss-road approach to development. And when you point out all these to them, they point a statistics chart to you.

When what is on the chart and stas table isnt tangible in real life, you need to do away with those charts and statistics tables and face reality.

Where did u get ur stat from. Say what u know pls

Black people! Worship center is still their priority.

What do you expect from a nation of highly religious gullible people with a warped mentality.

One of the most religious nations in the world yet one of the most impoverished. With citizens so evil even the devil takes a bow before them. A nation littered with fake pastors everywhere.

Wow, an international worship Centre by the government? To worship who? Will true worship be more guaranteed than what is obtained in our small house? Will the seats of the worshippers be more secured in Heaven than it currently is?

Akwa Ibom has money and can afford to steal and dream big projects at the same time. They should go for better, not white elephant projects like this one. They can provide water to every home, they can turn the state to a small Dubai generating too much money and jobs for their citizens.

Yes ooo... Afterall some people na woman yanch be their own priority,

I am unaware of any state which includes prostitutes fees as part of their budget.
If you had individuals in mind, then you totally failed logic because it is none of
your business how someone spend their own personal money.

while some people the buy 41 SUV with their own
Can you tell us the total budget for this "beauty" project and the cost of
41 SUVs?

Here are cases of your zealot governor doing worse

15 SUVs for royal fathers
https://www.nairaland.com/4825629/udom-emmanuel-buys-suvs-royal

31 SUVs to chairmen
https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/10/16/aibom-council-chairmen-take-delivery-of-31-new-prado-jeeps/

Many more for low level magistrates
https://punchng.com/aibom-gov-promises-magistrates-cars/

Even if other states had used their entire budget to buy cars, it doesn't
justify Udom using state money to build monuments. Especially in a state
where rural poverty had made children the target of anti-witch campaigns.
