You are not the first to say so, go through your bible. In the days of Jesus Christ,Judas Iscariot and other did same.
But if you consider the thing done to God's honour a waste, God will say so, to anything, that will be done to your honor too.
For by your word, you shall both be condemned or justified.

So building churches with state fund and not alleviating poverty is honouring God.

Uyo is a village with too many broke ,jobless and hungry people .Apart from 4 major good roads and fly over ,most of the street roads are bad and too many shanties and dilapidated houses.
Flyover,Stadium,Specialist hospital,Tropicana mall,20 story building for a state of 6 million and 7,081 km² . Most of these like the specialist hospital and Library are either non functional nor accessible by the average person . Udom's paid goons are just over hyping rubbish and fooling themselves because those on ground know the reality. Akwa ibom is a big village with good media propaganda machine, and that's a fact .

You've said nothing but the truth. We hype mediocrity in this country too much. I worked and lived in Eket for 3 years and still visit Uyo from time to time so I can never be fooled by these media hype. Though compared to the late nineties, the town has seen some massive infrastructural development befitting of an oil producing state.

Akpabio spent 8 years in office, but he did not build 1 single classroom.

Sadly, this aimless, misplaced priority and misguided governor is also useless and grossly clueless.

It's a sad shame that this is the richest state in nigeria and the 2nd largest debtor state in Nigeria.
The US is the most indebted country in the world

We have national mosque in Nigeria and nobody is complaining but when it's church many idiots will come here complaining and crying

I'm almost sure you're still a secondary school or an undergraduate student still being fed, clothed and sheltered.

Nobody is stopping anyone from building anything, but when you build churches from taxpayers money at mind-boggling amounts while denying them development, then there's a problem. A supposedly secular state does not have business building worship centres from Public Money. Places of worship everywhere, but evil, and retrogression waxes stronger.

Governments should be concerned with creating favourable environment for business to thrive and improving general living conditions. Something the Akwa-Ibom government (and her contemporaries) is grossly failing at.

The money the state received in a year is enough to transform the state into very good place to live but no, with the support of maleducated dimwits, the state will rather spend money to impoverished the very people it's meant to uplift, cruel irony!

Meanwhile, you grossly lack manners for you to insult peeps you've never seen, and cannot even stand in their presence. Learn some manners!

And lastly, National Mosque Abuja was built with donations while Obasanjo forced States to cough out money to build the National Church Abuja.

Nigg your state is highly underdeveloped, Uyo is a shanty town, Ákwà ibomites are mostly gatemen, keke riders, bike riders......the women prefer harlotery work, there is nothing for anybody in Ákwà ibom yet it receives the second largest monthly allocation after delta

Igbos are leading when it comes to harlotry in Nigeria.
Mention any Igbo state that is developed.
Go and develop your state. Leave Akwa Ibom alone. We aren't the cause of your erosion.

Everytime losers and ignorant people on NL can not accept faults and deal with their issues, they always run to Osun as if Osun is the reason why they have issues and deplorable conditions.

It's even silly and goofy considering the fact that they built the best schools in Nigeria in Osun state while you can not show us anything your useless, incompetent and worthless governors did with your money even though they collect the largest allocations, huge IGR, derivations and NDDC funds.

You should be crying instead of beating chest with idiocies about a useless governor wasting public resources on churches and religious activities.

Says a lot about jokers with misplaced and warped expectations like you.

They wont hold their governors responsible for the under development in their states but will masturbate on a state that is far better than theirs.
Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo are the most developed states in Nigeria.

Why are you so concerned with building an ecumenical centre
FYI,it can serve as a tourist attraction and it will be used for inter denominational service. Instead of using the stadiums

In thesame state, if we check well, many of them have not tasted Milk or Milo in the last six months.

That's why they eat snake and every creeping thing to satisfy their protein deficiency.

Some of them have not taken breakfast by 12noon daily.

Nigeria has very stupid leaders as well as followers. Followers born leaders.

When it was time for Corona Virus palliatives sharing, rich nations with high income per capita went extra mile to share dollar and pounds palliatives with cheque payouts.

But the leaders in this country were doing media paparazzi with sharing palliatives that never got to 5% of the total Nigerian population.

Visit their states, you will see abandoned projects up and down worth billions of naira both budgeted and dispensed, yet people are dieing from hunger inside thesame states..

They have raised fuel price so fast, they find that so easy and told tenants to give them 6% of their rents.

One man yesterday was blaming politicians for our national woes, I told him it's not a political problem, it's a character problem. Nigerians are untrained, therefore behave like Animals in a zoo.

I tot I was discussing with a human being because 30minutes after giving this man my phone number, the text I received in the phone is this, If you have not received your N35,000 Corona Virus palliative, call this number..

In my mind I was like, see the same man blaming politicians for Nigeria's problem.

You talk of indebtedness as if Lagos state is not debts, as the richest state in Nigeria. Even America are in debts. I wonder the kind of school you attend

White elephant project and a totally unnecessary one at that..it's sad that religion has being politically weaponised in the state.

This is the most misguided project I have ever seen or heard.Mr Udom really messed up with this one.

As far as am concerned I see it as a money laundering scheme while playing to the religiously gullible masses with all their fake pastors wey full the state

That is exactly what he should have done. There are many easterners who appreciate the development in Akwa Ibom, and the effect it will have on the industrialization in that region. It is only people of little mind who come on social platforms like Niaraland to insult group of people.
