You are spot on....

I smell a rat here..... The information on Canadian SP is all over the internet. No need to fall for unscrupulous agents.

Was the agent referred by a sucessful applicant?

This is not looking good at all?

librangyps:

It's just two clinics that are authorized to carry out the medical tests for IRCC and they are not fed govt owned....big red flag
Sourcing bank statement for you?.....another red flag
Whatever money you paid to the supposed school , I hope you did a direct transfer to the school, if it's to the agent....last last na police station all of una go end up.

Let your parents know what you have found out and your stand on it, if they still go ahead, leave them, they will learn...

Hi, I sent you an email.

But how have they concluded eligibility review for people who applied in June and yet people like me that applied since March 8, got my medical request in April. Did and passed the medicals in May. Yet nothing. And my school resumes September 8 and just emailed me that I will be provided letter to show at my home country border and Canadian border to enable me cross.

They will also provide 2 weeks quarantine plan including airport pickup, accommodation, food, etc for $800. They also said I have to make it to Canada before August.

So I wonder why they are so fast with people who don’t have a complete application and a lot of people with complete application are still hanging.

August 15 is approximately 3 weeks from now.

He did biometrics November 3rd and submitted November 7th, then submitted his application November 9th.

That's a ridiculous timeline.
If its paper route, biometrics and submission is same day.
If its online route, you submit your application, letter requesting you to go for biometrics comes withing 48hrs...

I advice you to get your application number from the agent and you can check online if this application is real or not.

Sorry....He got it submitted November 7th...We are actually confused right now, maybe the delay was due the pandemic

It’s possible I studied biochemistry but am going for PGD in business administration but you have a lot of convincing to do. Mine was alil easier Cos my current work is in the Area of business so I was able to use that to show career progression.if your not working in line with anything that has to do with business then you really need to convince the VO beyond reasonable doubt your reason behind the switch. Failure to do so may lead to study permit refusal.
Hello, I will need your assistance bro..
Because am also interested in PGD in Business Admin..

You can't do biometrics days before you submit your application. That alone means the application is not real.
Get your UCI number from the agent

IRCC never forced you to pay or register for any online classes. From the AIP letter they mentioned "while you wait for the final decision to be made on your application you may commence your studies online". You failed to read between the lines and the tricks employed by IRCC. They never at one point impose it as a rule on the applicant that they must pay for their fees and begin classes from their home country. Again, payment of tuition fees is also not a requirement in the eligibility review of IRCC Act. So don't think you can sue them for rejecting any application in the second phase of the process. IRCC are smart and intelligent beings and are well-resourced for cases like this that might arise as a result of this update. Trust me, they know what they are doing and will eventually win the case in the long run, i.e if you're suing them on the basis of tuition payment.

Come to think of it, haven't you noticed lately that it's majorly the first time applicants that have been receiving the first stage approval in principle letter? What is the fate of those whose visa was rejected and now reapplied the subsequent time? From my personal standpoint, getting a notification on the AIP letter doesn't guarantee that everyone will receive an approval in the later stage of the Visa process. As a matter of fact, proof of funds and genuineness of LOA doesn't in no way complete the overall eligibility requirements for study permit approval. I'll be here to see how things unfolds in no distant time.

It will end in praise.

Hello Frankrobbn1,

The bolded is for sure. There is likely to be some rejections but the approvals may be slightly higher. Certainly, rejections in the FS AIP is inevitable but there may be more of successful applicants coming out of the SS.

The bottomline is that applicants should still hold onto their funds then watchout and/or defer to Winter 2021 if their visas ain't out before resumption.

Bless up bro!

Hello my people pls save a soul

My parents believes so much in agents that any contrary advise would be shoved off.

Now to the present issue, there is this agent they approached to process Canada study visa for my sis. She truly applied and letter of admission was sent from the Uni. They asked us to pay some amounts and we’ve paid infact so far it’s close to 3m.

Now this agent has directed us to go and get police report and medical fitness certificate at any Federal Hospital. But, I sense something is wrong, the whole process seems to be different from what I’m reading here. House please kindly help out before more harms is done.

My question are?
Is it true that we must get a medical fitness certificate even before applying?

He promised to help us out with statement of account do you think that is not a red flag?

The hospital is asking us to pay 50k for covid19 test amid other tests that I can’t even remember now.

Please I need your advise.

Hello Kaffy4tope,

It is true that an applicant can do medical upfront and be included in the application or sent afterward. The medical test can only be done by IRCC recognized panel physician namely Qlife (35k) and IOM (46.5k) either in Lagos or Abuja.

Using agents isn't totally a bad idea but always insist to be carried along for documents sourcing and scrutinizing. Ensure to verify the authenticity of the BS if this is the sole plan. If the said agent gets you a fraudulent BS., you're looking at 5yrs ban.

All the best

Hello,
I applied for Study permit on the 29th of July, last night I received a mail from cic (Picture of document below). I check my status saying, we are reviewing the result from your medical exam. Mind you haven't done medical's.

Please remove your UCI number from the picture. Your UCI is as important as your name.

If this is the AIP letter, it says preliminary assessment. Before COVID, I think preliminary assessment was used to determine candidates that submitted a complete application. At that stage, completed application moves forward to other stages, including verification and eligibility assessment, while IRCC returns incomplete application. I don’t know why they are advising people to start online with just preliminary assessment this time. I really want to see how this new style will play out. I don grab my spectator sit and pop corn.

Much Ado about nothing!

I have seen the argument for and against starting online classes with AIP and I think we are just too hard on ourselves.

IRCC has been very clear and unambiguous about this. Study permit applications will go through two stages; eligibility check and admisibility check

In the eligibility review, IRCC will confirm you actually got an admission with a DLI, that you are a genuine student, have enough money to take care of your studies and have enough home ties to ensure you return after studies.

The admissibility is where security checks are conducted ( e.g - your fingerprints are shared with the
Canada Border Services Agency to see if you have violated any immigration rules before.) It is also in this stage that your medicals is evaluated to ascertain if you will be a huge risk and burden to the Canadian health system.

Bottomline, is that if you do not have criminal records and no serious health challenges, you are 100% sure of getting the final approval.

You don't except IRCC to give you a 100% guarantee of getting final approval when they cannot confirm yet that you are not a criminal and that you don't have a serious health issue.

Congratulations to everyone who has received the AIP.

I am honestly praying that I receive mine soon.
