CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN


"Mr Rowland, someone is here to see you" a prison warden told Rowland, opened the burglary for him to come out. He led him through the long corridor and minutes after, they were at the waiting room.


"You have just 10 minutes to talk with her" The warden said and left. Rowland nodded and walked to his visitor, who had her back turned to him.


"Excuse me?" he said, making her notice his presence. She turned around and smiled at him. Rowland gasped and his eyes moistened.


"Hello Rowland, i heard the news, so i decided to come see you" she sat on the bench.


"Stella" Rowland muttered. "I know i treated you wrong, am sorry. If i had stayed with you, i wouldn't have found myself in this mess"


"It's okay, am not angry with you anymore. Am glad you let me go, because if you hadn't, i wouldn't have met my prince charming" she let out a throaty laugh.


"You are remarried?" Rowland asked in shock.


"Don't tell me you are blind to notice my baby bump" she ran her hands along her tummy.


"Oh my, how did it happen?"


"I think you should get yourself tested at the hospital, once you are out of here. The fault could be from you, after all" she smirked.


"Am sorry Stella, i really am"


"It's alright Rowland, I will be on my way now, see you when you get out of here, which i don't even know when" she laughed scornfully, walking away.








Bari shook her head at her mom as she excitedly carried out her chores. She had told him that Daniel would be visiting, later that day.


"Do you think this gown is good? should i wear something else?" the woman excitedly asked.


"I am the one he is getting married to, not you. I wonder why you are conscious of what to wear"


"So because am not the one he is getting married to, i should now wear rubbish? i need to look good" she eyed her daughter.


"Okay, the gown is good" Bari sighed.


"Come and see what the Lord has done for me" the old started singing "He has taken away my sorrows and now am free" she gave out some dance steps.


"All these jubilations because Daniel is coming?" Bari asked with a loud chuckle.


"Yes ooo, the first man my daughter would be bringing home to see me, i wish i can even kill a cow" she danced again. Someone knocked on the door, she lifted her head instantly and muttered to Bari "I think he is here, go and check"


"Yea Mom" Bari rolled her eyes, walking to the door.


"Hello babe" Daniel greeted, all smiles.


"Welcome babe, do come in" Bari replied, opening the door wider for him to go in.


"Good afternoon Ma" Daniel greeted.


"Afternoon my dear, how are you?" she said with a nod of the head.


"Am fine Ma"


"Please sit" Bari muttered.


"So, tell me, how did you meet my daughter?" she asked, as soon as Daniel got seated.


"Mom, but i already told you everything, he can't remember anything for now" Bari sighed.


"Oh yeah, am sorry my dear, i forgot. So when are you starting the wedding preparations?" she asked again.


"Mom, wedding preparations? let's just take a step after another. Having a wedding now would be hectic on him"


"No, it's fine. Actually, that is part of the reason am here too. I think we should start preparations for the wedding, now. So that by next month, it will take place" Daniel replied.


"Are you sure about this?" Bari probe.


"Yea, sure" he assured.


"I like him already. He wants everything to be fast, he knows there is no time. I give you two my blessings" the old lady chuckled.


"Let me go set the dining for lunch, i will be back" Bari said, pecked Daniel on the lip and left for the kitchen.

I didn't actually think it was all that necessary to add all the points you stated above.

According to what the doctor told David, Daniel was bound to get his memory if he takes his medicine as prescribed, so i thought you all would conclude it in your mind that he got his memories later.
