2. Depends on the dates available. Prior to Covid, you could get next day appointments or within a few days of your submission but there are longer wait times now.

That staff is just bull jiving,

You don’t need to inform your bank before printing your statement of account,

All you need to do is print it and go into the branch to have it stamped, except the money isn’t there anymore but that’s usually what you need.

It won't cost anyone anything to verify first or to request for bank statement specifying its for embassy. Even without being told, that's what I planned to do. Some people don't like to take chances.

Yes but you upload that on the TLS portal after submitting your application on UKVI site.
Based on the discussions here, wait times are roughly 1 month but appointment slots are released daily so you can always get a date closer than your initial appointment date.

HELLO bro I will advice you to print ur statement of account just tell the bank that’s personal use that’s what happen to me last year. November the bank send it to the embassy and after I have submitted all necessary document a week later the embassy contacted me that they couldn’t find my statement of account so I had to go to the bank to printing another one but at the long run My visa was refused and Kate I knw that access bank sent it to the Uk embassy in Nigeria but my application was attended to Uk embassy in Sheffield so I will advice u to print ur statement of account and let them stamp it and sign on it thanks

The print date doesn't matter as long as the statement printed covers the required 28-day period before your application submission.

I called the bank to print a statement for me the next day, they did but it wasn't on letter headed. I just went in today to pick it, and just corrected it but with today's date on it. Problem is, I already transferred about #450k during the weekend to a friend to sort out her own IHS and visa fees. That what, i was told by the bank customer care who attended to me, actually i just requested my 29days of statement of account, then i was asked what i intended using it for, which i replied for Uk visa, then they told me, thy can't issue the one i requested, that it's against their policy.

That could be true.

The customer care personnel might not know what exactly is obtainable or it might be a new policy for that branch of the bank to clamp down on their staff who do back door runs.

The statement printed by the bank for personal and visa use are usually the same, no differences.

This was actually my point before the guy started wilding. If you noticed, I mentioned “the staff”, which means that person might not be sure of what the policy is.

Anyways that’s his headache, it’s for his application and not mine.

I finally got my draft CAS today after I had pressured the school rep well.
I was supposed to check that all info on it matched with that on my passport and other docs and revert to them.
However, where they were to write other names/additional names, they didn't write anything. Just my Surname and Last name.
I called the school rep immediately on this, he said that particular issue doesn't matter.
I'm still not satisfied. I decided to wait till tomorrow before I send request for the CAS. But I also wrote back a mail to my query effect and copied the school rep

Pls guys what are your thoughts on this? Does this difference really not matter? Has anyone had a similar situation? I don't want any itch in this processes ooo abeg.

I have received my CAS but i desire a change of course. Please what are my options. I am going to Coventry University.

So planning your journey needs to be alongside flight availability and departure. You need a Covid PCT test. NCDC has approved testing centres in Nigeria. SYNLAB is one - tests are about N52400 try their ikeja office else check their sites for details.

Resumption of flights in Nigeria would likely be in September so depends on how long you have to wait., bare in mind if you go to the UK you need to self quarantine

Heard from a confidential source that international flight resumption will begin in 2 weeks. Hopefully, it will be announced this week!(Fingers crossed!)

I know Diamond bank does this (but for schengen visa). They would generate the statement and send it to the embassy, then they would give you a code to take to the embassy. You can submit this code also, but to be on the safe side, request for an account statement that would be stamped and signed by the bank. Just make a request as though it's a personal thing, this way you win on both ends
