Oh I didn’t know that.
I once asked if I can transfer from my USD Dom account to a Danish Acc, and I was told it has to be the same domination.

But again sometimes the customer service doesn’t even know & they feed you wrongly.
Thanks for highlighting, good to know this.
Zeecos:

You can. I've done it before from a UK account to a GTB USD Dom account. But the bank charges were much.

Unless they've stopped it, to be best of my knowledge, you could wire different currencies abroad, the receiving bank would just do the conversion.
I have wired USD to a friend in Germany a few times in the past.
As you said, customer service sometimes doesn't know it all.

Pls which TLS did u find booking

Docuzor post=92766763]Good morning.

So I had an earlier date for 1st Sept that's an assisted service which I already paid for.

So I came online and saw a free date for August 26th same assisted service, I clicked on it and was directed to a payment site.

Do I still need to pay again for this new date despite having paid for the 1st sept.

Thank you fam. Lastly, I got 30th of Sept: how do I change to any available earlier date without losing this 30th in the process?
'(
TheGuyFromHR:

Not really necessary.
The UK visa form asks you for the CAS number and the Sponsor Licence number, which is all the information needed.

Just go to your TLS account, click on "Amend" and follow the prompts.
Your previous date is only changed when you have actually booked a replacement date, and not before.
Any time you go to check for a date and you don't see any, just close the window or click on "Return to Applicant Portal" when you're done; your original date stays safe.

Yeah, they dont really know much about it. I found that the easiest and cheapest way to move my money from nigeria was via transfer from my Dom account to my UK account.

You can't book an appointment without submitting a visa application and you shouldn't submit your visa application without having had the required funds in your account for at least 28 days before you submit your application.

Pls house I need your input here.
I paid my deposit on Monday. Awaiting CAS.
My tb test is on Monday and my 28 days mature on the 20th of this month.

Thank you for the swift response to all my questions today. I already submitted my uploaded documents, I hope changing to an early date of appointment won't be a calamity?

I am aware of the above and I don't intend to do any of such.

My question is what can I start to do now pending the maturity of my 28 days?

Ok. You've basically got it covered, you're awaiting CAS, made your TB appointment and gotten your documents together. You can start filling your application form and update it with your CAS details before submitting after your funds have been held for 28 days.

Thanks.

No, this is my normal interview date. Mine is for 10am, my dependants for 10.30am but they allowed us do biometrics same time.

People who came for walk in were still there around 12noon when I left. They were still hoping they would be allowed today.

Some people who came for walk in on Tuesday but couldn't do it were allowed today. I believe they took their name on Tuesday or something.

Thank you so much.

Cyberknight:

You can.
My bank usually contacts me in such cases to ask me to confirm the conversion of the GBP to USD at their prevailing rate; no other charges were taken.
But check with your bank first.

When I paid some fees to Ireland, I used my USD accounts and it was done without stress. Just be sure to specify how much you want the sender to receive and ensure that all charges are taken from the source account to avoid any shortfall when it gets there!

Wish you the best of luck man. Please I will like to know how you sorted out your accomodation. That is if you are not using campus accommodation or staying with a family. Any link on how to go about with getting off campus accommodation will help.

I am yet to make a final accommodation arrangement. I have only used my school address as my place of residence for now. I intend staying off campus as I'll be staying with my family.

For my Uni, Uni Of Derby, they have some privately accredited accommodation, so I'll just stick with that.

Yes it is. It is to confirm the parental relationship to the applicant and give consent for funds in the account to be used.

I don't think this is entirely true. It happened to me today. They remove the already secured date before I could even pay for the new one.

And yes, I had to pay again.
