Mine was sometime around 2017,i had just completed my professional exams and it was only natural i start looking for a better job that befits my new qualification..Rearranged my CV and started bombarding marine / shipping companies and their agents with my CV. After about a week, i got a mail from one of them asking me to be in Port Harcourt the next day for an interview. I was excited,couldn't even sleep well,left Uyo very early the next day and got to PH in time..Went straight to the address she asked me to come to,if i had known how this day would turn out to, i probably wouldn't have wasted my time going there.
I got to the gate,security man won't grant me access without getting approval from whoever asked me to come. I spent over 30 minutes trying to call this lady,no response even after the security man assured me that she was inside,decided to call one last time and call it quits,she eventually picked up and gave me the worst attitude / insult i have gotten from any HR Personnel so far. Insulted me for calling her number,i tried to make her understand that i didn't come on my own,just yesterday she sent me an email asking be to come for an interview. I have never felt so embarrassed in my entire life,i apologised for calling,ended the call and cursed her to suffer for 6000 years..Wasted transport,wasted energy,wasted false hope just to come and receive insult... Some HR people totally forget the Human in their Job title

Since you received a mail from the HR company, my guess is that you ought to have printed the mail. I suppose that would serve as proof that you were invited for an interview. Thanks for sharing btw

Got a message that I've been shortlisted for the company interview. They dropped the address. I couldn't even remember which of my numerous applications was inviting me.

Spent the entire remaining days reading hard, starched my shirt, ironed, wore tie, prayed and fasted, abstained from sin, bind my entire villagers.

Only to get there and saw my haggard looking "interviewers" claiming they have millions. Congratulating me on getting the job before finally confessing that they're just GNLD.

I immediately off my tie and hid it in my envelop.

Niggarrr was dumbfounded......okay Indian man says go back you have been sacked...no need for the remaining interview....haha.....no na... just like that..na so a real niggarrr begin dey beg one stupid Indian man for him own country...see disgrace... finally Indian man accept.....Indian man says oya go and clock your card...
Indian people are just something else... funny enough they were even using their own products in Nigeria...the company bus was TATA... Indian vehicle
I nor even work reach one year for there self..I just gather small money from the salary then i forward my resignation letter...I just use the amount i gather plus the bonus amount way the company give me....I just buy one laptop begin dey huzzle for house....I can't continue to be disgraced and treated badly in my own country by some stupid Asians...

The combined money we spent for all the court wedding, introductions and traditional marriage is just 70% less than of what my friend spent on is white wedding alone.

I never thought printing a mail invite for an interview was a thing or is still a thing,i thought just saying my name and stating the position i applied for was enough.I will take this to mind next time i need to go job hunting,Tbh most of my interviews since then has been online mostly skype.I guess it's a Nigerian thing. I have been opportune to get recruited by multinational companies,most times with their base situated out of this country trust me,their HR personnel are always full of courtesy when they talk to you or schedule an interview for you.. Everything dey vex us for here.We shall find peace someday!!!!

I had series of experience while hunting for job but i'd like to share two of the experiences that I would never forget
The first was when I applied to one of these big private schools in need of a Geography Teacher at Ojota, I did micro-teaching and performed well, then they told me I'd go to there Ketu campus for the oral interview and the rest.
I got there the next day, waited for the principal for hours before he could attend to me. To cut it short I was interviewed. The part that got me was that he began to ask if I could teach some other school subjects, I said I could for some and couldn't for some. Then he told me I would teach Geography SS1-SS3 in the Ketu campus and would also go to Ojota campus too twice a week to teach Geography SS1 to 3 (bills on me), I said to myself it's still okay at least that will make me loose some of my belle fats. Then he said I'd teach Agric Science Jss1-3, Civic Education SS1-3 I said no problem, the maximum is not to have any free period daily. Although I was boiling within, but I was just relaxing to hear the salary. Then he told me they start with 35k in their school, I did not know when I shouted "With Masters degree?" I thanked him, stood up and took my leave.

The second was one outsourcing firm and also offers various professional courses that enhance employability to offer one of their courses. Someone promised he'd help with payment. I got there, the Woman said no problem that I would pay (90k ) on two installments and the class would be for 2 hour three times in a week. To cut the story short, having seen my CV, she said she has a school in Ajah ( valuing 90 million) that she would like to make me the school principal that the current principal is one old man, that I would take his place. She asked if I could teach some subjects and we listed subjects I could teach from JSS1 -SS3 I saw like 9-10. Then she asked if I could drive because the school bus driver do fumble some times that I would be the one to convey the students to school. I said yes that I even have a valid Licence. All I was expecting was to hear one six digit amount with these designations and my Masters degree. Then she told me she has one building opposite the school that I will squat with the former principal for 3 months, then I would go and rent my own apartment. When she told me the salary, I felt like ending it that day or just go to Ketu and start pushing cart. She offered to pay N30,000.

Hmmm, i have been embarrassed on several occasions.
Firstly,I told this lady close to my house I was in search of a job,as aunty was working with a very big international company. She gave me her email and asked me to send my CV. Months after, aunty stopped responding to my greetings when passing by.

Second one, after messaging this lady,she later gave me a very nice insult. It ruined my day and I felt like crying.
