Yeah I agree with that. Python syntax is very easy. At least easier in comparison to Java. Also the lines of code are less.
But he was like, one wouldn't get the entirety of programming, starting with Python. Something like you can easily learn Python if you have knowledge of Java, but the same isn't the case for vice versa.

Anyway, I've decided to stick with Python for now.

Okay, that's cool. I hope to use Python for ML, AI and the likes.
I've not yet gone fully into that though. Wby?
if one can at least get the basics with python, then it'd probably be easier to transition to other languages, depending on which best suits your area of interest.

I delved into software dev with python for a short while, now I'm moving towards DS and ML as well. Although after some months of learning, I still feel like I know nothing, lol.

Search code academy on YouTube.

They have 5 hour + tutorials on: python, javascript, html, css, c++, Java and many more.

Guy you don't even know what you are talking about, free books and tutorials about programming has been made available online long time ago, even in Western countries and USA, bill gates and Mark Zuckerberg etc learned programming on their own and not in any special classes, and more white people learned coding than Africans will ever learn but the skill is still highly on demand in the world, in Africa, we are just getting started Cox just a few people are even interested in learning even though there are materials everywhere.. we are just getting to embrace technology in Africa, so coding is not a common skills to be common even in 50 years from now Cox all innovations from Auto pilot, Internet of things, robotics and many more are future promising and highly dependent on progammers

Don’t rush it. Try learn something on python once in a day (make sure you understand the basis). When you understand it. Then divert to the field you wanna use it in e.g I’m into networking so I use it for network automation.
I'm into networking too, pls leave me an email address or WhatsApp contact.. my email 94emmanulemmy@mail.com, it's good to share ideas

AI can program itself or what?? neither Can AI operates on its own?? programmers will be relevant for centuries to come.

definitely not web programmers maybe networking guys, but AI can do anything as far as there is enough data to train it neural networks works exactly like ur brain ur brain has billions of neurone and years of data to make u who u are imagine being able to do that for ml models even gpt 3 that doesn't not have millions of artificial neurone works just fine

Yes but it'll increase unemployment to the high heavens, in fact it will totally damage the programming industry. undecidedundecided did some research last night and found out that people are even full time into it. Those people are foolish, it is just like making a robot that only kills people forgetting that the robot will see you first.

Go to coursera.org
You can search for your course of interest and learn. There is option to apply for financial aid (scholarship) for courses so that you can learn for free

You can't dump JavaScript if you really want to be a web developer. There is almost no power website without complex JavaScript behind it

Don't be silly. AI has a better probability of replacing web developers than network engineers /network architects.
Most of the work done in networking require rational human thinking and is done in real time. You need humans to determine the best QoS in particular cases and configure accordingly. Networks and network links go down all the time. Who fixes this? A human is required to know when a link is becoming saturated and implement the appropriate load balancing procedure (HSRP, GLBP, VSRP) depending on the real time conditions. AI will most likely not perfect this in a long time to come.

Humans will monitor the network to detect threats and study the log reports and network analytics from IPS /IDS - in real time. In an enterprise networking scenario, hosts and policy requirements are constantly changing, you need a human to determine the best policy to implement.
Designing a network requires a human. A lot of factors are involved, tye topology, geography of the area, existing local laws, interactions with ISPs and lots more.
Networking is not going away any time.

Well, I know u are going to defend ur field, but all u state above are what makes it easier to automate with AI, there are programmers who automate networking process with bare py codes so why can't AI do the automation through intuition, I guess u know nothing about AI though all this thing might take a while I don't pray it happens but people writing code is going down to its bare minimum, u can make backend with firebase, frontend from figma, make apps with gsuite, e.t. c

The fact is if humans can do it ANN can be trained to do it even better it just might take years of supervised learning

No career which use intuition is safe from AI
