Anyone who watched that game and thought the Blazers outplayed the Lakers probably didn't watch the game properly. The Lakers were the masters if their undoing. They literally shot themselves to an L. But I knew it would take a couple of games for them to find some consistency after that abysmal showing in the seeding games that's why I predicted 4-3. One thing is for sure, the Lakers won't shoot this badly in three more games. There'll be a few more close contests towards the end of games and that's where Portland would steal a couple more because of their clutchness. |

Of all the sports, I think basketball will feel the pangs of not having fans present the most. 1 Like |

The curry disrespect ehn, Lillard does a good curry imitation and all of a sudden the media is saying he's a better shooter. There is this subtle bias against curry because of his skin color and build. |

etidy: My brother! Na the matter we dey try settle since The fans appetite is a great beast which must be constantly fed with new delights. I guess it’s because it has been a while we’ve seen Steph on the court, Steph called out Kenny Smith earlier today because of that statement, I think people have forgotten how great of a shooter Steph is. |

benji93: It’s not a narrative bro, it is the reality. That game was basically Lebron X AD against the blazers. |
Re: The NBA Begins by SIRcumalot: 1:31pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
mattfeuter:The Lakers wanted it like that Why else trade the whole organization for AD.. They are still going to get past the blazers but it only gets tougher. |

Afromentalist:surprising defeat!! I was also surprised by that Lakers vs blazers game. Both the bucks and the sixers have been earning some shocking beatings |
Re: The NBA Begins by mattfeuter(m): 1:45pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
SIRcumalot: Because AD is a generational talent. You find guys like lonzo ball, josh hart and even Brandon Ingram at every years draft pick but you simply don’t find guys like AD so easily. Another reason they did that is because Lebron has a short term window, Which means the lakers are laying down all their cards , it’s championship or NOTHING! I’m sorry but you can’t win a championship with kids. |

Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 2:53pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
SIRcumalot:Lol. I thought we've gone past this stage of complaining about the roster. The roster is fine, they're not just hitting shots at the moment. And I'm not talking only Green, KCP and the other guys, it's also Bron and AD. Imagine AD missing 5 FTs in a game, shooting only 70%. He averaged 84% for the season. The shots have to come at some point. This game could have been won, but the damage in the first quarter was the key factor. Portland are there to be beaten if you asked me. The Lakers shot a dismal 5 of 32 or so from 3, some of which were wide open, and it still was a close game at the end. |

mattfeuter:Bet9ja is a trash bookie. Use other bookmakers that give you more flexible options if you must punt A lot of these so-called odds na just to con people. Sometimes it's smarter to bet on the highly favored team not to cover the spread. |

Re: The NBA Begins by mattfeuter(m): 4:23pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
etidy: Especially that KCP! Never liked him a bit. He played 29 mins and had 1 point, 1 assist and 1 rebound. . . Same goes for Danny green, I think the lakers over paid for him. He’s not worth $15m a year. |

Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 4:53pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
This game is a mixed bag but if you're the Blazers you are cautiously optimistic that LeNomad played reasonably well but the Lakers still lost. Bearing in mind Dame shot 9/21 but you were still able to win by 7 This is the same team that led the Warriors three times last season with double digits but still wound up losing so it had to be an encouraging sign that they were down late in the game and came back to win Lakers will not shoot this poorly for the remainder of the series but if you're the Blazers the mere fact that there is no homecourt means Game 2 is not a given for the Lakers to win, there is no reason why you can't show up and 'steal' Game 2 as well Also why is AD so scared to bang in the paint with the big boys. He needs to man up and play the 5. And LeNomad. This is why I don't entertain comparisons between him and the GOAT. Once you can keep him out the paint you know he's a sub40% shooter outside 3ft |

steady986:"not hitting shot at the moment" is a bit of a soft sell, they have struggled in the bubble.. The game against the blazer is just a continuation of this bad form. 3 Likes |
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:09pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
The bubble is the great equalizer for everyone in the post season.. Everyone is dealing with the same variable especially environmental so no excuses! No one is traveling for games, no home or away fans to deal with, the same court every match day.. If you don't show up on game day, it is all on you as a team! 3 Likes |

Stop it Man. Stop it. I don't give a damn. You have two top 5 players. So you should win this series. Hakeem won a championship without another All-star. If he's the king he must win it. Has it occured to that he probably is the reason his teammates are not doing well. He's the king. Drive through the traffic and score a 50-point triple double. mattfeuter: 1 Like |

Can you see what we have been talking about with respect to AD. After scoring 21 points in the first he could only get 7 in the second. A40: |

Re: The NBA Begins by mattfeuter(m): 6:59pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
benji93: Oh really ? Is the series over yet? This is just one game! Here’s one thing you Lebron haters have to understand, one loss doesn’t determine the outcome of a series. He was down twice in the 2018 playoffs and we all remember how that ended. And about hakeem, he had Clyde drexler who’s a 10 time all star. |
Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 7:08pm On Aug 19, 2020 |
You mean a washed up Clyde? Clyde was on the decline. Besides i was referring to the first one. If you had read my post carefully you would have realized i was talking about Lebron and AD winning this series. So ofcourse it's not over. Besides there's still a chance for a gentleman sweep. . Honestly i wish Hakeem had better teammates at least a bonafide all-star for 6-7 seasons continuously. He had one in Sampson, and soon enough they got to the finals and lost to that great Celtics team. If Sampson had stayed healthy, his career would have been much better. Perhaps he owuld be up there with Jordan. That's why i don't quite agree Shaq had a better career or is a better player. Shaq got swept. At least Hakeem got two games against that Celtics team three years into the league. . mattfeuter: 1 Like |
