Good Evening Gurus,

Please I have a valid visa in an international passport due to expire in December. I have obtained a new passport. Can I travel with the old passport since its validity is now less than 6 months? Or travel with both? or how do I move the valid visa to my new passport which was just recently renewed?

I would have traveled in April when it was still 8 months to expiration but owing to Covid-19 I could not.

Please advise me.

If your return date is beyond December, then you need to travel with both passports

It doesnt mean anything until you get your passport. Everything will be revealed when your passport is in your hands.

Thanks. I got the visa!

If you choose self upload, u don't have to pay anything for Biometrics appointment.

Good evening house. I want to clarify something. When you apply to renew your visit visa does the validity of the new one start on the date you specified or immediatley after the one you have expires?

Please nairalanders what is the appropriate response when asked if you are married on the UK Visa application page? Lets assume the applicant is single but hopes to get married before traveliing?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Kinpelz(f): 8:34pm On Aug 20, 2020
If the person is not married at the time the application is submitted, then it is SINGLE.

For self service TB Certificate upload, if you are given a referral letter to see a doctor after your scan for an issue that has to do with the chest scan but not associated with TB, can you present the certificate showing you don't have TB alone or one have to submit all other documents gotten from IOM.
Docs such as the referral letter, the data capture page generated by the IOM office and the other white colored print out?

A lot of people use the word 'renewal' and that can be confusing sometimes. These are independent applications which accrue to your travel history. When you apply for a UK visit visa, u state when you plan to travel. If successful, the visa would have a start date prior to your proposed date of travel. The new visa start date does not follow the 'validity till' date of the expired visa.

If your visa expired March 30 for eg and you apply for a new visa to travel Sept 30, your new visa starts a few days before Sept 30 and not March 31

I hope this is not for a UK visit, as you are only required to do TB test if you are gonna be in the UK for longer than 6 months at any visit. UKVI is not interested in any other infections but TB, so they require just the TB certificate. Do not complicate things with irrelevant uploads.

She's relocating with her husband and 4 months old baby. The mail said that her application has not been straight forward that they would be unable to decide but if something changes they would let us know.. Please what does it mean, she wanted to relocate with her family. She's married but hasn't changed her name officially on her passport ... Respond quickly please... She's losing her mind

Ok... The message doesn't mean any negative thing. It's a normal message to notify the applicant that they are still working on their application. Tell her to relax it will end in praise.
