Good evening gurus,

Please, how long does it take to get my passport back after an appeal is granted ?
how did you appeal
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by mimilyrics: 11:23pm On Aug 20, 2020
It depends on your personal tastes.
Depending on your eating habits, you'll spend an average around £150-200. If you like exquisite feeding, you will spend more.
Transportation is dependent on the area. For London, each bus trip costs £1.50 but if you tap in with the same card more than once within 1 hour, you pay only for the first touch. Once you spend £4.50 a day on your bus trips the other bus trips for the day will be free. Once you hit your weekly max, all touches after are free for the week but you must be a heavy user to hit the max.

Bus transportation in Chatham is roughly £2.80 per ride while it's about £3.70 in Canterbury but you can save on buying weekly / monthly/ or season tickets.
Transportation spend should be an average of around £300-400 depending how often you use the train/bus and the distance. But if you buy a car, budget for insurance, taxes e.t.c.

If you're going outside the bus route, you'll pay more.
Train costs depend on where you go. I.e. return tickets from London to Farringdon costs around £15 while London to Canterbury costs about £48. You can download trainline app to help you with the train fares for your target areas.

Clothing is dependent on where you shop. Shopping at Primark is different from shopping at M&S. e.g. a male t-shirt at Primark goes for a minimum of £2.50 while a male shirt at M&S or Matalan can cost from £20 and £15 above respectively. When you buy during the sales periods though, the price crashes are epic.

Water / light/ Gas bill if not included in your rent will be roughly £100 but heavy usage during winter will definitely get your gas bills up.

You can get a phone contract (unlimited calls + 5gb data) on Vodafone for around £12.75. Lycamobile Pay as you go for around £10 (calls and 2 GB data plus free 100 minutes to US, Canada and some other countries excluding Nigeria).

Wireless costs depends on who and what package you choose. BT has a £25 plan but you can switch providers if not pleased with service. Sign-on packages for new customers usually come discounted.

Hello guys I want to ask a question. Please how much can a bachelor spend on personal monthly expenses in UK like feeding and other things like clothing, transportation but excluding house rent.

Ok... The message doesn't mean any negative thing. It's a normal message to notify the applicant that they are still working on their application. Tell her to relax it will end in praise.
Thank you... I believe God.. It would end in praise

Thanks, expecting response

That refusal letter is dated 2013, besides visit visa's have no right of appeal.

Personally, i think the ECO isn't convinced he earns that much, otherwise a salary of over N400k in 2013 was good for visa purposes. Again, a man with 2kids going on tourism alone does sound one kind.

I work with Axa Mansard.. I can help you.. Do you need an International HMO or Local one? The bronze package is 49,800 and it is annually.. You can renew if you wish. However, the company requires the following: A valid ID Card, Filled health form, evidence of payment and a passport. Hoping to hear from you. Regards
I checked your company's website. Their health plan cover is majorly for Nigeria and India. I did not see anything suggesting health cover in the UK.

People have been applying. Visa Application Centre (VAC) resumed services in Nig from the week of 27th July and people have been providing their Biometrics at the VAC since then. Many have been securing visas and from Aug 29 hopefully when Lagos and Abuja Int'l airports open, people would start travelling out.

Ok. Please can you share the documents submitted, salary, disposable income and monthly expenses including cost of the trip? Thanks.

I do not know what u mean by '14 days quarantine in our application'. Tourism is a route under visitor visa and shouod be the General Visitor Visa route. A lot depends on your budget and your main reason for coming to the UK.

Currently when you arrive in the UK, u self isolate for 14 days and that means being in a single location/property for the first 14 days. If you plan to come for a duration of 14 days or less, you might not be seen as a genuine visitor as no one would ordinarily come to the UK to be locked up in a house all through the duration of their visit.

Regarding hotel accommodation, you can use hotel accommodation if you do not have a UK sponsor inviting you.

But what about those of us that initially filled our forms before the lockdown and stated in the form we are staying for 10 days only. Had biometrics after lockdown

I submitted by bank statements both USD and NGN, Valid US and Canada visas. Letter of Introduction from Employer. Personal Cover Letter.

Net salary is 800k, disposable income is 500K. I estimated the cost of my trip to be £3500 for the duration of 7 days i intend spending in the UK.

Frequent traveler to the UK so that helped. Studied there too.

6 months is a reasonable period to use for financial records. Regarding the business profile, it is always good to use a salaried account where your disposable income can be adequately ascertained.

I believe this is the reason why many applications before lockdown are still pending as most applications have reasons for travel now obsolete. We do not know the answers. DMC ought to find common grounds to make the best decisions on applications. People that had Biometrics first week of Aug are already picking up their passports.

Regarding staying in the UK for 10 days, less than the 14 days self isolation period; I want to be positive and believe it should not negatively impart applications. The 14 days things is advisory and would not be policed.

Okay. Though I stated in my cover letter that I couldn't go as planned in May during part of my 2020 annual leave but going in November now during remaining part of my leave. The remaining leave is 2 weeks but I still maintained in the cover letter am spending 10 days because that is what I wrote in the form. I had my biometrics on August 18.

Your case should be a smooth sail as your Biometrics was after lockdown, so you had the luxury of fresh documents

It depends on your car brand and the places you go (parking charges, fuel consumption, tolls e.t.c ) in addition to insurance and tax costs.
See link below for info on cost averages: https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/uk/consumer-advice/car-advice/a29318934/owning-car-costs/

By self sponsor, I presume you mean footing the costs of your proposed trip yourself. Well, yes to your question. You need to provide evidence of your financial circumstance in your home country. Without that you can not be perceived as a genuine visitor. This usually comes in the form of employment letter, your bank statements and payslips. You must provide the sources of funds you claim is accessible by you.
