damkanlinsin:Yes you can apply but you need to take this pandemic into consideration too. I believe the number of visitor's visas that will be given out this time will be reduced due to this pandemic. I believe you can get it if you package your application well. Best of luck |

Ashirioluwa:You don't need to give any information you aren't sure about. Who told you the number of visitors visas that will be given out will be reduced? Don't create panic here with what you believe. Whoever merits a visa will get it. 1 Like |

Hello Justwise, A big kudus for job well done. You are simply amazing and helpful. Am new to this platform and am impressed with your educative tips on addressing issue and support. I want to travel to the UK based on my friend's invitation for 2weeks, she will be responsible for accommodating me in her house and feeding while my stay. I work with MTN as a Customer Care Representative(Team lead) received 75k as salary but N68,532.13 is being paid monthly to my bank account, meanwhile I also received 220k monthly as returned on Investment on that same account so I say I earn 268k monthly. Am married with 2 children. I intend applying in October this year, I have roughly 1,2M in my account. Flight £280 Living expenses £300,, Shopping £280 total budget for the trip £1,060.15 in Naira is N535,884.00. Pls advise if its below budget. However sometimes my husband transfers small change at times for me to spend for keeps..Please guild me on what and what I will need to make it a success . Thank you for your Swift response. |

I want to ask some questions guys. Someone who has certificate of sponsorship assigned on 1st of August which expires on 2nd of November that's 3months duration b4 it expires. Is it possible for someone to make use of that CoS to apply for Visa on October 29th, 30th or 31st. Or is the CoS still valid to apply for visa ending of October. 2nd: Questions. Can one assigned two Cos from different employer at the same time. Or can one have another CoS assigned from different employer at d same time before the previous CoS expires. **employer is NHS**. |

Cece592:You have to provide evidence of how your money accrued. Paper evidence. There’s no way to escape this if you want to be granted a visa. 1 Like |

Christabeliciou:Just to help this budget. Scrap the shopping aspect and add to other things, you are not mandated to give a budget for shopping as a tourist. It is not compulsory Then for this investment of 220k or so, please provide evidence to show why and how the investment came about, start date, details of the amount, how many people involved if any, and any other documents to prove the validity of such. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Symbae: 9:25pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
OBYNOWEST12: 1. Your assigned COS has to be valid until you have attended your biometrics,if it has expired after that, you might be contacted by eco 2. An individual cannot be assigned 2 COS at a time, one must be cancelled before another can be assigned or you wait after the 3 months of expiration to apply for another one if your initial employer refuses to cancel the COS issued |

TIGER1001: Throw more light on this to make it easier to understand. Is this daughter an adult and is she employed? Who would be footing the costs of the proposed visit? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 10:03pm On Aug 21, 2020 |
ZabethMay: The 15 working days is actually 3 weeks. Visa can be granted within or even outside of this window depending on the simplicity or complexity of the application. UKVI sometimes would email to inform the applicant if their application would not be decided within that 15 working days window. I applied for a family member to visit and visa granted in 9 working days, though a second time traveller. Someone else here got visa in 10 working days. 27.07.20... Online Application 06.08.20... Biometrics at Ikeja TLS 11.08.20... Application received by DMC 19.08.20 (AM)... Application transferred to VAC 19.08.20 (PM)... Passport ready for collection email 20.08.20... Passport collected with visa. 3 Likes |

Christabeliciou: 1. The money you tagged as return on investment can you provide paper evidence to support the source? If you can’t convincingly explain the source of that money then the ECO may only take your salary into consideration. 2. That budget will lead to a refusal because it’s more than 5times your monthly income. 3. Do you have any evidence to convince the ECO that the individual inviting is actually a friend? E.g chats, pictures together, emails.. something to show that you have been in contact with that person for some time now. Apart from flight ticket other things in that budget is unnecessary. |

Hello everyone. Please is there a way to know the available dates for biometrics appointment for UK visas before submitting your application? I’ve got an unused US visa that expires at the end of next month and I want to travel to the US next month for 2 weeks before the visa expires but I’m worried that when I submit my UK application online the biometrics dates will be too far like maybe 2 weeks ahead. Then before I add the time they’ll hold my passport my US visa will have expired. So please how can I see the available biometrics dates before clicking submit. Thank you. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 2:32pm On Aug 22, 2020 |
twojul: Well, the answer is No. The Biometrics portal is a third party commercial site which gov.uk directs you to once you have submitted your online visa application. You cannot access the portal until the visa application is submitted. The visa application gives you a unique GWF ref no with which you open an account with TLS - the Biometrics portal. On the flip side, if you know someone with an active UK visa application who has booked appointment for Biometrics but yet to attend, they could log in and tell you what dates they could see owing that both of you are using the same centre. This is just hardwork to be honest. Besides, even if you are able to get a Biometrics day in good time, no guarantee exists as to when your application would be decided. Best bet is do the US visit first before UK application. 1 Like |
